We took our Cadillac in for some work and could not have been happier with their service. It is honestly one of the best mechanics shops we have ever used.I would definitely recommend them if you would like to get your vehicle fixed right and at a good price. They were very knowledgeable and helpful.

I had my clutch and transmission replaced here. The guys did an awesome job and for a good price. There arent many places that give you a personable experience and actually care about you and your car anymore, but AAMCO of Pottsville is definitely one of those places. Ken, the gentleman I dealt with, is a great guy and has always held true to his word. I definitely recommend AAMCO of Pottsville for anyone who wants the best for their car and a good experience.

This is the first time I have dealt with Aamco. I was referred there by someone who had transmission work done on 2 vehicles previously. I am very pleased! They are very knowledgeable and good at what they do. They stand behind their work 100%. I will definitely be coming here from now on. Thank you Ken for going above and beyond my expectations!

I have a 2004 Blazer and was told I need a transmission and that my trans fluid has varnished. So these guys were so in a hurry to jump to conclusions. For starters they wanted to pull my transmission for only $700.00 I dont have. So I took it to Steves Transmission in Myerstown and he took it for a test drive not once but twice and told me theres nothing wrong with. AAMCO in Pottsville said that my forward band was slipping. So in this case Not! It wasnt. Steves Transmission said its fine. So there ya have it. They are only out to rip you so off. Putting you in a situation you really dont need to be in.

I called AAMCO of Pottsville late in the afternoon on Friday hoping to get my muffler repaired before my trip to NJ the following day and I was told to bring my vehicle in to be looked at. I informed the gentleman of my make and model, then drove to his store. My vehicle was taken right in, inspected, I was given a diagnostic repair list of what was wrong, and gave him the ok to go ahead and make the necessary repairs. He ordered the parts, they were delivered to the store right away, and the repairs were underway. All in all, from Management to the Technicians, the professionalism, care, and friendliness shown to me went far and above what was expected by me And...It is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!Arthur SalisburySch. Hvn. PA

Dont take Subaru cars here. I dont know why anyone would take a car here. the service is very shady. I made an appointment a week in advance, dropped my car off my car and they called to say it would take them another day to get CVT fluid from the dealer. I said I wanted It back the same day. (piss poor planning turned against the customer) I got a call around 3:30. it was ready but....they couldnt open the front differential because they broke the socket on another car and it didnt come it in the mail yet. (They ran out of tools, thats the excuse?) so Im picking it up today and taking to another auto shop (jack Williams) to get the job completed.

Aamco of Pottsville is only one of a few businesses in the county that has been providing automotive repair services for 51 years. It has been and continues to be family owned which means quality service with customer satisfaction as a priority. I have seen first hand the commitment and expertise the crew demonstrates on every vehicle they service. I also have seen the respect woman receive whenever they come into or contact this center. Try Aamco and see for yourself.

We had a cars transmission fail on a long trip on a highway and they took care of us late Friday. Although it took 2 weeks to replace the transmission, we have our car back and running! The only issue we had was they recd an alignment when we had just gotten one two weeks before. We would love to see the computerized before and after alignment documentation showing the improvement but we had to pick up the car on a Saturday on which they do not work.

PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH. I HAVE ONLY WRITTEN A HAND FULL OF REVIEWS BUT FELT COMPELLED TO TELL OF MY EXPERIENCE AT THE POTTSVILL, PA AAMCO.I guarantee that Ken or Tom from AAMCO will respond to this negative review with some sort of clever remark or statement. Please do not be fooled as they are professional salesmen. The only response acceptable is that I am correct, and they have learned from this.My transmission failed on Dec 1,2018 in a 2017 Ram 2500. I Googled transmission shops near me from the side of the road and found AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care, 378 Pottsville St Clair Hwy, Pottsville, Pa. They had a 4.6-star rating on Google so I had my truck towed there after speaking with Ken the service manager. After 2 weeks, Ken gave me several choices and prices to choose from. I opted for the rebuilt transmission with a warranty and gave them half of the money down immediately. The whole experience was very pleasant and completed in just 3 weeks. I paid just under $7,000.00 for the rebuilt transmission and warranty. I received my truck back at 5:00pm on Friday December 21st just before Christmas.Heres where everything goes south, the truck started overheating on my way home from their shop and they were closed for Christmas with no one to consult. I had been waiting for nearly a month to move my RV and needed to do so. Upon moving the RV my transmission temperature shot upwards of 275 degrees and lost a few gears. I called Ken at AAMCO with the news and told me to have it towed in. I explained to him that I shouldnt be responsible for towing and he said, Towing is not included in the warranty. I told Ken I was prepared to have it towed in and let him know that my lawyer would recoup the charges since this wasn’t warranty work it was faulty labor on the initial rebuild. At that point Ken decided that he would do the right thing and cover towing. At this point AAMCO was NOT a pleasure to deal with. We even argued on the phone at times. They continued to experiment on my truck for the next month or so feeding me various excuses as to why it was not repaired insinuating that I was somehow to blame. Finally, they concluded that my truck’s aftermarket tuner corrupted the main computer and was causing pressure / temperature discrepancies. I was determined not to let them violate my truck any longer. So finally on Friday February 25th after nearly 9 weeks at AAMCO I had the truck towed to another facility. Hear this, AAMCO had the audacity to tell me if I had the truck towed out that I would negate the AAMCO warranty. Did they really think that I would bring it back for warranty after their substandard performance? LOLMy new shop took my truck in on a Friday and had me driving out issue free three days later. The problem was a clogged TBV or (Thermal Bypass Valve). Which I mentioned to them on several occasions. Since “The Pro’s” at AAMCO did not properly flush the original contaminated transmission fluid, it clogged up the TBV which did not allow hot fluid to be routed to the transmission cooler thus overheating the transmission causing catastrophic failure.
