Deliciously poured latte. Breakfast sandwiches on asiago bagel were tasty and served quickly. Egg patty comes in the shape of a square. I tried their mango blueberry square and my brother had their chocolate chip muffin. Muffin was a bit tough and crunchy on the top, but delicious and soft inside. Square was tangy and sweet with a strudel crumb on top. Out of the 4 coffee shops we tried the morning of our visit, this one served the best latte.

Its a really cool coffee shop with nice outdoor area. My latte was delicious with beautiful latte art. If you like strong coffee with chocolate undernotes, you will enjoy this place. Service was great and barista did an awesome job. Pastries looked good too!!

This place we just stopped by because we loved how cool the outside of the building is. It wasnt open when we went by, still a great place for a cool picture.

The barista was super friendly and nice! We had their Guatemalan drip coffee and a pastry that i could not spell properly to save my life, but they were both pretty delicious.

The apfel strudel and cheese danish are truly amazing. Light, flakey pastry, sweet but not too. My only regret is that we can’t stay and have a German iced koffee (too early in the day). A real gem.

Fantastic German-inspired coffee shop near the water in Portsmouth with a great cup of coffee. I’ll be honest, I’ve had a head cold for 3 days and my taste buds are currently in hibernation. Despite this, I was awestruck after my first taste of Kaffee Vonsolln’s medium roast. Not in the least bit bitter with a smooth chocolate flavor all for $2.52 for a large coffee. Big deals are going on here in Portsmouth. Just another reason I’m very bullish on American things that are German in name (i.e. myself, Kaffee Vonsolln).

Its wonderful to be away from home and be able to get a perfect shot of espresso. Their cheese danish is amazing. The people that work there are great.We had a list of places to try in Portsmouth but couldnt tear ourselves away from Kafe Vansollen.

Excellent coffee shop with excellent people! I highly recommend all of their breakfast sandwiches and paninis, as well as their danishes, muffins, lemon tarts, pistachio cakes, and German pastries. For coffee, I love their Irish cream mocha, but all of their flavors are excellent. They roast their own coffee in house, so grab a bag while you’re there. Prices are very reasonable as well!

Good coffee, limited pastries, friendly staff. The main issue is people were walking in and lining up with NO MASKS. Breathing all over the cashier while thinking over their order. I understand you are allowed to eat at a table inside but keep your mask on while ordering and walking around. The staff does not enforce wearing a mask in line or around the cafe. I saw 2 people line up without a mask while I waited. Disturbing given the rising deaths. As a high risk person I would not go back in there again.

I was visiting Portsmouth for the first time and wanted to find a local place where I could relax before a job interview. Not only did I get myself some very tasty coffee and a breakfast biscuit, they have a really nice selection of teas and free WiFi. If definitely stop by again to hang out.

This is definitely one of the better coffee shops in Portsmouth. Service is great and coffee is fantastic. They look after their local men/women in blue and they treat their customers well.Their coffee has a good strong Flavor and hots the spot. I love the Toffee Lovers coffee.

Totally amazed to find a German ‚Eiskaffee‘ so far away from home. I could just about stop the girl from adding cream/milk as this would have NOT be German at all: just vanilla ice cream, cold coffee and a swirl of whipped cream. Delicious!

Hands down best coffee house in NH!! On a personal note if I am being nostalgic it is my favorite ever. Her summer house iced tea blend ..yum! The London Fog is not laden with sickly sweet syrup. Dont me get started on her Affagato ...perfect espresso with just a dollop of rich vanilla gelato. Her house grind is lovely. In fact we go to get our coffee here first and then go to breakfast!!😂

Amazing coffee, food, and service.. I understand why there is a line at 8am on a Saturday. Tried the dark matter latte, regular mocha, and coconut mocha lattes. Delicious croissants, breakfast sandwiches, and german apple cake. Came the next morning at 8am and was 2nd in line!

Cappuchino was very good, but the bienenstich (German for bee sting) was spectacular. Its a light airy cake/pastry with a creamy filling topped with slivered almonds. Its not too sweet, and is very very time-consuming to make. Fantastic job. Got a piece to go for a friend who has never had it, and he loved it too.

Delicious coffee! I had a regular drip coffee (I think it was drip) with cream and it was amazing! That says a lot, if you ask me.

A place where you can bring all the cliche things to make it look like youre working on something important when youre probably just updating your social media. Im used to the many coffee shops in Boston and Cambridge, which are perhaps pretentious but serve great coffee.This little store is at least as good as the Boston area cafes and restaurants, but with vastly better service, fresher coffee, and a more intimate atmosphere.If youre a coffee lover or if you just like a friendly and welcoming place to relax this place is for you.

The staff was friendly and willing to help. The homemade pastry was not to sweet, fluffy and delicious. The coffee which was carefully and lovingly made was perfect no burnt or bitter taste at all. A perfect little place to stop in after a long day of shopping or to get your day going.

The best staff in the entire seacoast. Not only does Kaffee Vonsolln have great coffee and delicious treats, but they also have the best employees in the entire state. When you go to Vonsolln you are always greeted pleasantly by one of the staff members. They go out of their way to make sure you have a better day. Even if Vonsolln is out if your way it is worth the trip. Support a local business that is owned and operated by some of th kindest people on the seacoast.

I consider this place the Official Coffee Shop of Portsmouth. Apart from the always-spectacular coffee drinks and amazing desserts, the coffee crew are just a really nice bunch of people. This cafe never fails to disappoint and the desserts remind me of what you can find in European coffee shops. The seating area is ideal for meeting friends or working on a laptop. Unfortunately theres no free parking but otherwise it would be perfect.

Delicious tea/coffee and the pastries are amazing.

The melba pastry we ordered was delicious with outstanding texture. Sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits were surprisingly satisfying. A big surprise for a place we went into as a backup when the breakfast place down the street had a long wait. The only negative for me was the painting in the doorway. I found it so creepy in photos that I initially opted not to go here, and more importantly that aesthetic didnt at all match the happy, wholesome demeanor of the staff who served us. Overall though, so good Id go out of my way to go here again.

Great coffee an apple danish

This place is pretty good. The girls up front are very friendly and always smiling. I have traveled throughout Europe and have had coffee in Heidelberg Germany. The thing with European coffee is it doesnt Overwhelm you. What I mean by that is its fresh, not burnt beans like Starbucks. This is real coffee. It isnt going to be to strong nor overwhelmingly sweet, it is going to be a perfect cup of coffee. Some days they are super busy, other days they are not busy, but the fact I have been back tells you that I have enjoyed this wonderful cup of coffee.

I was eager to try the coffee here because a friend told me they grind their own coffee beans and the shop is owned by someone from Germany. The dark roast coffee was wonderful. The person behind the counter was friendly and they had comfortable seating. There are pictures on the wall of different landscapes from Germany. Even though I didnt have anything to eat, the desserts looked delicious!

The best local coffee shop by far. I always stop in to visit with the delightful owners and for a cup of dark roast with a slice of their irresistible Bienenstich cake. They also roast their coffee in-house and I stock my cupboard with their Kick blend for the daily morning French press. Portsmouth is pretty touristy, but this place is a spot of local color.

This a beautiful hidden gem in Portsmouth. The space is beautiful and spacious with lots of seats, outlets, and tables, making it a great work space. The staff is friendly, the coffee is tasty, and they even have food here!
