Was craving a good meatball sub and this was beyond expectations! The perfect crunch and chew of the bread, the delicious tender meatballs, the sauce and the melty melty cheese! OMG GET IN MA BELLY!

Absolutely fantastic! The food was really great, and it all sounded so good it was hard to choose. I got a Hero and garlic knots, but will definitely be trying their pizza soon. Definitely a new favorite place!

Solid place to get some tasty meatballs in a hero sandwich, with pasta, or by itself. I had The Cosmo- spicy pork meatballs with corkscrew pasta and creamy cheese and parmesan sauce. The meatball with cheese sauce went well together. The meatball has a good spicy kick, not too spicy. You can take it to go or eat outside at one of the many tables.

While the food is good (when they get it right), which is why I’m giving it two stars rather than one, almost every time I order from them there’s something wrong with my order. It happened so frequently that I stopped going. I went again tonight after a year of not going for this reason, hoping to get my favorite dish. Well, not only did they give me the wrong dish, they didn’t give me the garlic knots I ordered after I tipped them 20%. I thought things would’ve changed after all this time, but unfortunately not. And, it’s too bad, because the food is good. Again, if they can manage to get your order correct.

As a New Yorker, it is my opinion that 24th Pizza & Meatballs and Straight from NY have the most authentic NYC pizzas in Portland. Both are excellent.

The pizza is... fine. Not thrilled about the combos. Nice outdoor tables. Good service.

Second time delivery and 24th has become my fav Italian spot. Nonna’s special with homemade spaghetti was awesome as was the penne and meatballs. Ample portions that lasted 2-3 servings. The meatball panini was excellent, flavorful center and soft outside. This is Italian comfort food done well.

We grabbed a sandwich from the next door (Tails & Trotter) and came here for a glass of beer and the spaghetti. You could chose variety of meatball. My favorite was spicy chicken. Its tiny cozy spot perfect for rainy weather to chill.

Meatball sandwiches are yummy. I don’t usually like most Italian sausage, fennel is my fav, but their sliders are good and allow you to try the variety in small form. I haven’t ordered a big sandwich yet but soon. Also parking sucks here

I have been enjoying their pasta and meatball sammies for years. Beyond stoked they added pizza, it is some of the best in portland! That east coast style 🤌🏼

Very nice people and sauces are delicious. outdoor dining available. vegan options were good. However, in both pastas we got, the noodles themselves tasted a little watery and bland. I think they should salt the water used to cook the pasta, but that’s my preference

The best Meatball Sandwiches ever. Very tasty, good portions and good service. My husband and I shared a sandwich and were quite satisfied. This is half a sandwich with a huge meatball, excellent sauce covered with cheese. It was worth the drive from Beaverton.

4-star solid spot just kicked it into 5-star now that they offer damn-good delicious pizza by the slice.

Crazzzzy good!!! I had a ground chicken meatball. Wow!!! I’m not a meatatarian but loved this little sandwich. Get a couple of them they are small but FULL of flavor!! #allergygirl I had to leave off the sauces; I am allergic to the three choices but this little slider stands alone just fine!!

Good food, great staff, vegan options. Only taking a star off because it’s not mind-blowing good, but still a totally solid lunch choice.

FIRST time customer tonight- I dont usually rave about take out but this place was delicious! Meatball sammich flavorful and the garlic foccaia bread was so amazingly yummy!! Food came Hot and Fresh just as if we ate on site. I cant wait to eat here again! Door dash offered a great deal and driver got to me fast!

Since they have started to serve pizza, I have come to the conclusion it is the best pizza in PDX. Not only for taste, but value.Massive NY slices with all sorts of toppings. Their special slices are always on point.

The pie was passable, but a 45 min wait on a one-pizza walk-up order on a slow Monday night is pretty hard to swallow.

If you love meatballs then this is where you want to go. The food is absolutely delicious great customer service very chill place to dine.

Greet your customers! Rang bell twice and wasnt helped for at least ten minutes. Employees were busy telling stories to each other rather than helping customers. Not likely to return.

I am not sure if it is because we came 30 minutes before closing but the food was not appetizing. Everything was beautifully presented just like the pictures, but the food was bland. The cheese pasta with meatballs tasted of nothing but salt and a bland sauce. The hot Italian sausage sandwich again looks great but tastes of nothing but grease, you couldnt even taste the marinara sauce for some reason

Absolutely amazing food. Pasta cooked perfectly the vodka creme sauce is perfect meatballs are big and filling and the garlic bread, I could seriously just fill up on their garlic bread it’s that good. I’ve ordered from here twice now and each time the portions were big and the price was fair.

Wow! Did not disappoint! I came with my daughter on Saturday she got the Penne with vodka sauce and meatballs, she said Best vodka sauce shes EVER had, I had the spicy meatballs on polenta, oh my! It was pillowy soft, perfectly cheesy, spice dead on, wonderful meatballs! Im already thinking about going back, its that good, lol

Liked it! I must say my expectations were high as a meatball aficionado!Cute little place and nice and clean. Friendly clerk, not so knowledgeable about what was in some of the items.The Classic Italian with Marinara were very good. I couldnt really tell much difference in the Spicy Pork except the sauce tasted like the Classic Marinara with some Cayenne tossed in.Chicken Alfredo were interesting. Tried with the Cheesy Sauce which quite frankly tasted like made from a package not fresh. Would probably stick with either the pork or the classic.Did not try the Vegan but heard they were pretty good.Had a Classic sandwich too which was a nice size tho we added an extra meatball.Definitely will return.

I love this place!! Their meatballs are super tasty & they have a variety of ways to enjoy them. The staff have always been friendly & they have outside seating, which is great with spring basically here. If you like meatballs (and really, who doesnt??) you definitely need to check this place out.

My daughter and I used to make this a weekly routine to pick up meatballs. After the last experience I had there when one of the employees jumped into a conversation that he didnt belong. I had a man and his wife try to fight me. It was horrible. I will never again come to this establishment.

We are Spaghetti and Meatball eating experts in this family and Nonnas Special is hands down the best in town. Even my 10 month old downed an entire meatball.

Jeff was very accommodating allowing me to get three different meatballs with three different sauces. I enjoyed classic Italian, pork piccante and vegan matballs on creamy polenta topped with creamy cheesy, arugula walnut pesto and spicy pork sauces ... yummy!The only constructive feedback would be toease up on the salt especially on the arugula pesto and the pork piccante meatballs.This is a very casual place — you order at the register and seat yourself on wood benches or stools — without a lot of insulation so bring your coats if it’s cold.

The meatballs and sauce are amazing. My go to is the spicy pork meatballs on a hero sandwich with the classic sauce. My wife loves their vegetarian panini sandwich and its really one of the better quick, comfort food options in Portland. The only thing that is missing is a really good side option, but the sandwiches are a good size so they get away with it.Highly recommended!

Love this place! The pasta is always cooked just right and the sauces are yummy! I love all the different meatballs but my only small complaint is that the tradition Italian meatball is a little too spicy for me. Stop here for lunch/dinner then go next door to Pie Spot for dessert!

Nice hole in the wall for amazing pasta and Meatballs. Thats it. Simple menu, but that means what they have is excellent. Very chill and Portlandish. The service was nice and welcoming.

Well the meat balls are good. The service is minimal you bus your table and get your own water. The dining area is also used for storage of ladders, umbrellas, and various sign parts. So if you want great meatballs and to eat in a shed this is your place

Its a tiny place but the amazing aroma drew us in from the street. Even in a small space they show a lot of character. And yes the meatballs are good enough to justify them being a specialty shop. Next time I will come a little more hungry and stay a little longer.

This is where you go to get your balls! I got the salad with chicken meatballs and it was good but it does not come with sauce. I highly recommend getting your balls with sauce. And if you like it spicy, go for the pork. The menu is limited, duh. Go here for balls. Vegan and gluten-free are both options what more do you need to know. Why are you still reading this? Get some balls already.

Stopped in when it was a cold night out. Warmed my belly and was easy on my budget. I had a salad and spaghetti with meatballs. The salad was so filling but the spaghetti was so good I took a few extra bites and rolled home with glee.

This place has the friendliest counter service! Consistently. They care about you and its fun to go in there. I always get the vegan balls and the marinara with different starches. Very tasty.

Good food but couldnt eat it till I found a fork. It was a bit cold by then. Wanted to eat it in the park. No to go silverware??? Biodegradable if you guys dont like plastic

Im torn. I paid $11 for a meatball sandwich. I got a sandwich that was half the size of what I expected for the price. Like, it was small. But when I bit into that sandwich - holy lord - it was incredible. So tasty! But $11. Id rather have a slightly less tasty sandwich, and 25% more food, but thats just me.

I ordered the polenta and meatballs and it hit the spot. Super satisfying with great flavors and textures. On a cold rainy day, this will be a ray of sunshine. Looking forward to trying some of their other dishes. Very casual place and perfect to get some good comfort food.

Liberal policies have destroyed downtown Portland making it unsafe to even walk around. Get out of the downtown core and eat elsewhere. This was a great little Joint. Wonderful food. Spicy and filling meatball subs with a great price and good service.

This place is our fallback place, we forgot to pull something together for dinner & we know well find perfect meatballs, lovely simple sauces & a choice of noodles, polenta, or a Hoagy bun. They also have an excellent beer selection.

Quick tasty meatballs. Decent sauce, occasionally too salty but generally good for a fast meal.

So this place has the best meatballs around! I am especially happy because I am gluten free and they even had a gluten free option for meatballs! The meatballs are amazing, the sauce is amazing, and the service is amazing! I will definitely be back in the future:)

Im sorry to say, Ive never had a worse meatball. It was not only I but my guest that was sorely let down. We had leftovers that we wouldnt even take home to our dogs. Thats the first time thats ever happened. I wouldnt recommend this place to an enemy nor would I go if they were having free day. Its truly awful, truly!

Waited for an eternity. Food was good with exception of the marinara sauce which was watered down and dripped with H20. There was the sauce and then there was the water component. Their staff was focused on getting the call in orders out first even when paying customers ahead of those call in orders had already ordered and paid for the food and had been waiting patiently for over 30 minutes. No excuse. We saw orders taken by phone and done before us good folks got their time of day.

I felt like the food was good, but not good enough to come back. Its stellar but id much rather go try other restaurants. Had spaghetti and meatballs, tried all three and it didn’t really blow my socks off. For the price i was expecting either AMAZING flavors jumping at me or an unusually large portion, i got somewhat interesting flavors and average-below average amounts of pasta.

So so so good. Much better that I could have hoped for. I love the choices and combinations available. Hit the spot

A friend took me there before the Roger Waters/Pink Floyd concert last month and I gotta say it was outstanding! Never heard of it before that night and have been back numerous times. I drive over 200 blocks to have their meatballs and its well worth the trip. GO.....enjoy!

Rudest service ever. Got there at 915. Was told they were closed. When i asked why, was told they changed their hours and havent gotten to changing their hours on the door or online. Then was called some choice derogatory names on the way out. Dont go here! They obviously dont want your business. Double checked and on Friday it is open until 10pm according to everything. Learn how to run a business!

How disappointing when one of your favorite dine-in places has such poor take out! The portions were small, including the kale salad and there was barely any sauce on the small serving of penne. Won’t be ordering from them again.
