I came in and he was so kind and generous. He walked me to what I was looking for, and answered all my questions. He cut my wood to the length I needed and also helped me out to my car. This has been my go to place whenever Im finishing wood be it doors, cabinets, furniture. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff.

I visit WC 2-3 times a year, whenever I have projects. The staff is always so helpful and understanding of my ignorance, and they always guide me in the right direction. They offer great information, and advice, and provide great personal service. You never have to walk around to find someone to help you, since they promptly greet you at the door. Bill and Dylan are so amiable and knowledgeable. Its also really nice that throughout the three years that Ive been shopping here, I see the same faces.

As a young woman, hardware stores can be a little uncomfortable to go to alone. You often encounter people who talk down to you and over explain things or even question what you need. This was not the case at Woodcrafters. I needed to get some plywood cut to a specific size so I asked a nearby employee, who was more than happy to help me find the right kind and have it cut to size. I felt very comfortable there and everyone who I interacted with was incredibly kind. The employee who cut the wood even began to carry it out to my car for me (I had parked a little ways away, not having known there was a parking lot, so I thanked him for his help and carried the boards myself). I left with a genuine smile on my face (well, under my mask). I will definitely go back there for any future needs. This place is an absolute gem.

If you want expert knowledge and the widest selection of woodworking tools and materials in the Portland metro area, this is the place to visit. The team there is always extremely helpful and willing to show you different options depending on your project and needs.

This is great place. You would think that at a small local place youll pay a little more for something than of you bought it set big chain. I personally do not find that to be the case all the time. And many things I buy are premium and they have same price as Amazon. If I do pay a couple extra bucks, I dont mind because the staff is super knowledgeable and will give you the help you need. LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE FOLKS WHO WORK THERE!

Complete woodworkers palette. Great salespeople who are polite and knowledgeable. WC doesnt handle large commercial shop machines,but for the most part,if they dont have it,it doesnt exist. Not a very competitively priced store.Also not very friendly, honest, or helpful staff.Apparently it cost $45 dollars to make one cut on a piece of plywood.(which I learned only after purchasing the wood, which I had made clear I’d need cut.They wouldn’t cut it until after I purchased it, which seemed fair,but they failed to mention how much that cost until after I purchased it. Even though I asked several times.)Considering the plywood itself is $20 dollars.Not the best business practice for earning repeat customers.Needless to say, I will select a different shop next time.

This is a great place to find hard to get woodworking items and wood products. You will spend a lot, so you should make sure you cant find what youre looking fire elsewhere first. A very friendly place, and the staff is ready to help with any questions you may have.

Went here to get some tweaks done on a DiY desk I bought off of Amazon. They werent able to do what I was looking to have done but they did tell me where I could go to get what I was looking for (creative woodworking NW inc) and out of pure kindness one employee offered and gave me a ride there with his personal vehicle! Which helped a lot since I was carrying some big wood boards around and was going to pay for a lyft to take me there. Next level customer service! So glad I went to this place! Even when they couldnt do what I needed they still helped me get what I was looking for.Edit: typos

This place has it all! Im sure that some people could and will complain about prices but when you can find siding that is a perfect match for your 1911 Portland home (on the shelf!) you might change your tune. Wood, screws, tools, glue, hardware, moulding and more. Its a candy store for those who work with wood.

Love this place, Im a pen turner and creator of exotic hybrid wood and resin pen blanks, and I love digging through their scrap and cut off bins. The staff are very helpful and I come here to buy rough lumber often as well for larger projects.

The store is great but the customer service is garbage. I needed an estimate on lumber so I went the front desk. After being told to wait for help I watched up five guys who supposedly work they help one customer. I dont know if they were ignoring me because Im female or because Im not a regular. Either way, I probably wont go there again.
