Bought tool bags. Used them for three days, and they weren’t doing it for me. Brought them back, return processed, and the “big boss” came out and yelled at me for returning a tool. Told me to do him a favor and don’t buy any tools there ever again. The way I figure, I definitely won’t. I suggest you don’t either. You’ll be much better off working with a retailer that has an idea of customer satisfaction of the products they sell.

I absolutely enjoy coming here for my wood needs, the customer service is highly knowledgeable and from my experience always on point, especially Casey provided exceptional quality of care very friendly and able to answer all my questions.

The kindest customer service I think Ive ever received, anywhere. Went in on a whim for a specific DIY project, not knowing exactly what I needed (or even wanted). Alfred showed me several options, explained which would be the easiest and most cost-effective, then helped me carry the wood to my car. He was an angel.The girls at the front desk were extremely kind, too, answering all my questions patiently. I will 100% go back if I ever have random wood needs again. If you do, definitely go here! I wish every place treated customers like this.

So we all get building materials in a few places but I’ve gotta say there is none other like this Parr lumbar’s kindness, quick service and care. I had a job out in white salmon searching all over for 2500 LF’ of cedar t&g in 10’ lengths. Searching for 250 10’ boards Isn’t as easy as you would think. They sell them by the foot so you’ll get all kinds of lengths if you don’t ask! Well there’s a savior and amazing leader at the parr desk in the nw named Ashly! She called the distributor and made my clients dream come true and her help was crucial to making this basement so beautiful! Thanks for doing such a great job for all of us dream makers out there! Also I was a big part of the small crew to build the tiny home hotel across the street slabtownvillage and throughout that project they took such great care of us! These guys are awesome! They helped me design my deck, get the right materials, delivered them to my house (even put all the boards on my property behind the gate!!!!) and picked up & refunded whatever I didnt use. Cant be happier, keep up the good work!

Warehouse guys not wearing masks, fine. Two guys in office when you walk in not wearing masks, fine (kind of). Two employees coming down the aisle right towards you both not wearing masks, definitely not fine. Employees behind the counter, wearing masks but below the nose, yikes. I walked out immediately and went to Brown Lumber off Powell. They are obeying the law of the mask mandate. Missed out on a $500 sale!

1/8/20 I had a small wood project to do for my Daughters home, and I called Kent at Parr Lumber for some advice (and help as usual). I told Kent about my project and appreciated his help and advice. I not only was able to get the wood I needed, being new to the area, Kent lent me his Band Saw which worked out great for my wood project. Again I can’t say thanks enough to Kent and his Team at Parr Lumber on MLK for their help. I will be back and I will be purchasing some tools from them soon. Thanks again and I will tell my friends to shop there.

We looked around for lumber to build a play structure. There was an understandable mishap with our order. Once informed about the mishap, Parr went over and above to fix the situation. Very impressed with everyone we worked with.

Great store, great staff and customer service. Everyone on staff is nice and helpful. Ashley at sales was able to track down some hard to find bamboo fascia and decking. It really made our project come together and we will keep coming back after this experience.

By far the best place to go for building materials in Portland. I have dealt with many lumber yards and warehouses for material pick ups, Parr NW has the friendliest and most helpful staff of them all. Every once in a while I price my materials out elsewhere to see if I’m getting the best deal and Parr ALWAYS comes in with the best pricing as well. I even get last minute next day deliveries, first stop in the morning if I really need it. I work for Trinity Flooring in Tigard, and we purchase a bunch of particle board from Parr Lumber daily. I almost always work with Ashley (and I prefer it that way) and she always makes sure my orders are taken care of. She takes the time to confirm which Yard my order needs to be will called at, and to make sure I get the correct order number back so I can pass that information along to my installer so we can insure we are getting the correct material to the correct job! She is always super friendly and very easy to work with! If youre using Parr make sure you see/talk to Ashley! Shes a total Rockstar!

Come here often and usually have a great experience with the front desk. Had a bad experience in the yard, but seems that they have improved greatly since.

Horrible customer service, guy was rude and condescending. Guy told me cuts would only be guaranteed to the inch, so made me round all my measurements the thehole inch. Yet on my receipt it clearly states all cuts are guaranteed to the 1/4 inch. This was after waiting a total of 45 minutes for 2 small pieces. Of course the piece was too small and looks tacky, even after paying $30 for 2 small pieces of wood the size of a chessboard. But I dont want to go back.

Awesome customer service! They will even rip lumber for you if you want unusual dimensions.

Such an unfortunate experience shopping for building supplies in the city. If you’re not a contractor expect to pay top dollar and receive poor service to boot!
