Excellent womens boutique! My wife went in to try to find a larger bra and the staff was very friendly and welcoming and assisted her with measurements and helping her choose the most comfortable bra. Wife was floored at how nice she was treated and happy to have a perfectly fitting bra for once.

Saw this place online. I was very excited to check it out. Showed up and lights were off one hour before closing. The lights quickly turned on and a lady walked out throwing her hands up in the air as if saying, what are you doing here? I was then told to call to book an appointment and shopping was by appointment only. Very frustrating. They could of at least put that info online. Online says not required, recommended.

This was the BEST experience I have ever had for multiple reasons! I needed a specific bra to wear under my wedding dress and Sasha was AMAZING. She measured me quickly and professionally after I explained my wants/concerns and showed her a picture of my dress. After, Im not even kidding, 4 minutes, she pulled out the PERFECT option and it fit like it was meant for me. I highly recommend this business!

I called first to make sure that they carry compression stockings. Then inquired as to whether or not they accepted insurance. I was told yes on both counts. I then specified that they would also bill Medicaid, and was again to yes.They told me to have doctor fax them a prescription for them. I did.Today they called me back telling me that insurance wouldnt cover the compression socks. I knew that my primary insurance wouldnt cover them because I called to check prior to calling Just Like A Woman. I also called my Medicaid insurance and they do in fact cover the compression items.When I asked if they had called Medicaid they insisted that they wouldnt cover the items. But said they would follow up.Several minutes later the owner called me back and said that Medicaid doesnt cover the socks. I insisted that I had already spoken to them and they were covered. The owner, at that point just said that they dont bill Medicaid. When I told her that I was informed differently by one of her employees, she claimed that she wasnt going to bill Medicaid because they dont pay enough. She offered a discount. She claimed that she had to look out for her employees and insurance and herself.Thats great! Im on ssd and unable to afford compression socks, which I require for my lymphadema. I pay for insurance so things like compression items are covered.In short, because shes a money grubber, I will have to do without or find someone who will do the right thing and bill Medicaid.When saw their business on the news a couple of weeks ago they went on about how they were there to help people. They didnt mention that they only help you if you can afford it.

This place is clean and extremely courteous. They were very helpful with helping my elderly Mother with her leg wraps to help with her circulation. (These same wraps would be helpful for men, too.) I was informed that they have many veterans who use their products, too. Thats great!

I came here 3 years ago for underwear for my wedding. My bra lasted about 2 years before it gave out. I went back to the cheap Bras from retail stores but none of them fit right, Im a larger cup for sure and they would break within 6 months. I went back today to get a good bra that would last a long time. Fitting was great, Sasha was a big help with figuring out what would fit me while still listening to the styles i wanted. I love this place!!

I recently went in after an emergency removal of one of my decades long awaited breast implants for an infection only two and a half weeks after getting them. I was only in Portland for the day and feeling devastated after a very traumatic surgery. I couldn’t reach them by phone and went to talk to them personally on my doctor’s advice. Huge mistake! Waited just inside the door because the sign said by appointment only. I just was hoping to explain my situation. The younger woman who talked tome first was sympathetic and directed me to a waiting area until she could get a minute to talk to me.An older woman ( I am assuming is the owner) approached me very aggressively and told me I needed to leave immediately, had no willingness to let me explain my situation and “ma’am”ed me with such bitter transphobia in her voice that I felt physically ill.I have informed the trans community and my surgeon of my experience and have asked the doctor to avoid sending any other trans women to this hateful establishment.

I first heard about Just Like a Woman in 2009 when my mother needed a prosthetic and specialty bra for her mastectomy. My mother lives out of the country and it is difficult if not next to impossible to obtain these items in our country, especially after going through breast cancer and having surgery. These women were not only empathetic, professional and compassionate, but were able to accommodate my request for my mothers items without her being present - and everything fit ! How wonderful ! They save everything in their database - which is definitely helpful in our situation. My mother does not have health insurance, so she could not afford the silicone prosthetic, but opted for the foam form instead, which is not as durable.Today, its been almost 3 years sine my mom has her specialty bras and she recently mentioned they were getting worn and it was time for a replacement. So my sister and I went there and we were assisted by Doris French, who was absolutely fantastic ! We explained our situation and she was very prompt to help - but heres what made this trip special and really made this place stand out: As I mentioned the foam form is a lot less expensive than the silicone prosthetic, which can start anywhere from $250.00 and up. Normally insurance covers the cost but my mom doesnt have insurance and wouldnt be able to afford the silicone prosthetic. They did not have a foam one in her size, but Doris searched high and low and came back to tell us that she had a silicone form in my mothers size that had been donated by someone - so we were able to have that one for no charge. I couldnt believe it - I had to ask her to repeat what she said. Doris explained to me that there are several organizations that donate to Just Like a Woman, especially for women who have gone through breast cancer surgery that do not have insurance. So in addition to the specialty bras that we got for my mom, we were given a $300 silicone prosthetics at no charge ! I was so floored and so pleased by her generosity and that she would even go out of her way to do that for us I almost started crying. Such generosity and such level of excellence when it comes to customer service should not go unnoticed . I not only highly recommend this place but I recommend the services of Doris French. What a great gift and surprise we can pass on to our mom just in time for Mothers Day ! Thank you again !

They can order online for what you need as well. They are very caring and make sure that you are well informed what will fit you best. This is a great small business with personalized service. I called the other place in town and they dont carry the compression level I need, they wanted three weeks to order it, and they wanted me to obtain a prescription. I called here and was informed they do carry the compression level I need, but they might need to order my size. I went in and worked with Amy. She had me measured and trying on sleeves in minutes. They had my compression level and my size! And Margy set me up with my favorite color too. I will be a repeat customer.

Very helpful and professional. I knew what I needed, but didnt know how to find a bra that was supportive and comfortable and where the straps dont fall off my shoulder. I walked in and was offered a fitting. They showed many different products and I was able to find a great fit. Yes, a tad spendy but bras are. Mine was $49. But definitely worth it to have great fitting bra that meets my needs. They have a great selection and very helpful staff.

Be sure of your purchase because all sales are final (I have bra that left bruises.) Also, there is $15 fitting fee (waived if you buy a bra.)

I was fit for a nursing bra and found Amy to be very helpful. They had a variety in stock and I did purchase one. They really do have a gif understanding of the sizing specific to brands and I wasnt feeling sales pressure. Overall excellent efficient experience. I tried about 20 bras and was driving away in 30min.

I have always dreaded bra shopping, until I went to this place! Im not a typical size nor an easy fit. It was no problem for Just Like a Woman. I usually have to settle on a bra, but I had color and style choices here that were fantastic! Amy did my fitting and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I never expected it to be fun, but it was! I cant wait to go back!

Treated my wife abruptly. Did not give a clear idea of price. The staff could use people skills. People come here after life changing events. They are confused and scared by the life ahead. They feel like they have lost there identity.

Very disappointed! First I called a number of times and no one answered the phone to check on stock before calling, but since no one answered I went anyways. They advertise going up to a certain extended size, but they dont actually seem to carry that in the store. When I went in they immediately wanted me to strip down to size me, and when I said I wasnt very comfortable the woman just starred blankly at me like she didnt care. I also told her the size of the bra I was wearing and that it was clearly too small (size G). She said she would go look to see if she had anything in my size, 44 to 46 H or HH, and she came out with something that looked like a grandmothers curtain. I needed something more age appropriate and she told me the only thing she had was up to a G and still wanted me to try it on. I had originally told her I didnt have much luck at Lane Bryant because their bras are still too small and break easily. But when she told me she didnt have anything else for me to try (one bra in a G), she told me I could try Lane Bryant. Did she even hear me? Then pretty much just said sorry and walked out. It felt cold, unhelpful, and pretty apathetic. Really disappointed in the selection of extended sizes they say they have and the service I received.

This shop was recommended to me by the dress maker who did my wedding gown. I needed a great bra to go under the custom gown. I had never been fitted for a bra before, and was a bit nervous. I need not have worried, she was very professional and listened to my needs. I bought a bra and a hook extender and the whole thing came out to less than $50. Bra fit and worked great on my wedding day.

Pretty things, but odd service. VERY unclear on pricing or how their process works, so I felt very unsure and uncomfortable. I wanted to buy bras but knew how to fit myself well and definitely did NOT need a new fitting, and I couldnt get a clear answer if Id be expected to pay just for being fitted, which I didnt want or need anyway. Overall very awkward- my boyfriend took me there as a nice surprise but I left in tears. Totally an inexplicably shocking, overcomplicated, needlessly awkward experience, ruining what otherwise would have been a fun shopping trip.

Great service! Im newly pregnant and had to get myself resized. I wish I knew about this place a long time ago. I have never had a fitting go so quickly. The gal who helped me brought a selection to try on, but the first one was so perfect that I knew I didnt need anything else. Super happy with my purchase and elated with the material that allows room to grow. I was given the opportunity to wear my new bra out of the store. As someone who is very buaty and has a hard time finding a good fit, I think this bra is amazing and I barely notice Im wearing it at all. Thank you!

First off, I am NOT a woman but a 72 year old man. My physical therapist directed me to Just like a Woman to be fitted with compression socks. I was a little timid when I first entered their store on Macadam in Portland, but they made me feel comfortable in this strange environment. I have had nothing but perfect experiences in the few times I have been there. They are all helpful and very professional. I cant say enough positive things about them. Thank you very much.

If you wear anything other than a 34B, this is the place for you. The service was excellent and I felt that the staff really listened to what I wanted. It is spendy, but any bra outside of the most common sizes will be pricey. I have also shopped at the “other” place in town and I felt that Just Like a Woman met my needs better.

They are always professional, friendly, and willing to help me stick to my budget.

One of the only places with a wide variety of styles and sizes

My 71 year old mom is battling breast cancer for the third time, now at stage 4. I brought her in after having a brain scan ot OHSU, the cancer has spread to her brain, for new bras and prosthetic. The woman helping us did not show the compassion warranted a woman in my moms condition made us feel uncomfortable and talked down to us. It was sad to see my mom talked to in such a way. There was a younger woman working that seemed quite pleasant. Perhaps if she had helped us we would feel like returning.

I was able to get my post-mastectomy bras here, with excellent customer service. All the saleswomen made me feel so comfortable, when I wasnt feeling very positive about my body.

Inconsistent service. I was told there had almost nothing in plus size molded cups. 2 different people (including who I believed to be the owner) seemed to think it was strange that I didnt want my n***les to show through shirts. I bought one bra that was the best they had but still showed some of me through shirts. I thought that i would stick a liner in each day. I also bought my friend 2 of the same bra that seemed to fit her because I had convinced her to come with me to a specialty store. But once she wore one, she discovered that it hurt her breast bone. I attempted to return the one she had not worn and was told I couldnt. They said that I had to bring her back in to be fit for something else. When i told them that she had tried on all the lined bras in her size (a total of 3 or 4) they once again admitted that they had only a few of these in plus sizes but insisted that they had unlined ones. I explained that she didnt want anything to show through. Didnt matter. They dont take returns. I also tried to return the bra I bought for myself and had not worn because I realized that I was unhappy purchasing an expensive bra that I would have to put a liner in every day. I was not able to return that and since I had also tried on the 2-3 bras that had any hope of not showing all details, therw were no others for me to try. They should have told me that I would not be able to return the bras when I paid $165 for them. I am embarrassed i talked my friend into going to a specialty place.

This is hands down the best place for bra fittings I have ever been.

I will highlight two separate experiences with this local shop. The first one is a bit protracted but exposes a lot.In December 2015 I went to Just Like a Woman with a prescription in hand for knee high compression stockings. The store looked nice and the employees were friendly. The lady measures my legs for the stockings and they didnt have what I needed in stock so I was informed that I would need to pay the $15 fitting fee. To avoid paying the fee I bought a pair (or two, I cant remember) of non-prescription compression stockings. When the prescription ones arrived I paid the copay, and went on my merry way... I didnt get anything from the insurance about these and frankly, I forgot all about them. The unpleasant reminder arrived in shape of a bill from the store in JUNE 2017. No account number, just my address and theirs. Charges were: Balance Forward, dated 6/15/2016 for $270 and Discount 4/25/2017 $-150. I was baffled. I owed $120. I had no clue what that was not did I remember purchasing anything of great value at the store in June 2016 and the statement wasnt revealing. I went to the store and the friendly employee looked at the statement, and said that their accountant will call me the very next day. A week later, and no phone call from the stores accountant. I checked with my health insurance and yes, the charges were related to the prescription stockings purchase dated Jan 2016. Since I paid the $30 copay the actual charges for the stockings were $310. For two pairs of knee length of compression stockings. $155 per pair. Ive bought prescription stockings in the past and at most they cost $40-50 per pair. While I understand businesses have the right to charge whatever they want this is downright wrong and that the socks were very overpriced. I did pay the $120 I owed, which with the $30 copay comes out to $75 per pair. Please learn from my lesson and clarify the costs. Their accountant took a year and a half to produce a poorly written statement. I dont even know if it is legal to fudge it like that. They never got back to me when they said they would.Second experience -- this was during the first outlined experience and before I was so disappointed in the store. I went to get fitted for a bra and ended up with a bralette, which was fine but they only had one item that was my size. I asked them to order another bralette at the time I purchased the 1st. They said they would. A week later, when I paid the bill I owed, I inquired about the bralette. They said it didnt arrive and that they would call me when it did. That was 3 weeks ago. Does it really take 3 weeks for a bra to be ordered and shipped? Are these people using pigeons and Pony Express?! Should I be expecting a telegram when the item arrives?Anyway... I bought the bralette from Amazon and sadly I have never been this happy for having purchased something at a monolithic online retailer. I wanted to support a local business but I am done with this one.In summary:(+) Cute stuff and friendly customer service. Theres a $15 fitting fee if they help you with a fit and you dont make a purchase.(-) Incompetent and overpriced. If they dont have what you want, you may as well walk away.

My mother first started going to Just Like A Woman and has always had trouble finding bras that fit correctly. I, too, have had the same problem. Being a 32GG, I cant find bras anywhere! When my mother told me about Just Like A Woman, I was questionable because no one ever carries my size. I went in to just give the place a chance and I left a VERY satisfied and loyal customer!! This place is my new haven! I can now wear a bra that fits and doesnt look like Im cramming my boobs into any cheap ol bra! I love being able to embrace myself without feeling self concious about popping out!!! You ladies are my miracle workers! I recommend you to my ladies that are big and small!

Yah so I would have given them more stars as I did end up buying a great nursing bra from them, but and its a big BUT... I called to order another bra in a different color back in August and still have not received it or even a call from them! I called after waiting a month and they at first thought they got it in but hadnt called me, but then said they didnt have it but should have it soon... 3 months later still no call. Needless to say I bought it elsewhere. They obviously dont care about their customers, esp busy tired nursing new mothers! I would say go and get sized then buy your bras elsewhere like amazon like I did and even saved $20, but they charge you to size you if you dont make a purchase there. Another downfall of theirs. Good luck getting a bra if they dont have it in stock!

The only place I know in town that helps women with their special medical issues. They do need to get a larger selection of swimsuits though.

I was treated terribly by the sales person and shamed for my body. I had brought a friend with me and when we left she asked me if I was ok because of how badly the sales person had treated me.
