Came here on our last day of Portland, friend was interested in all the pictures of the unique pastries here. The orange and cinnamon breakfast pastry was fantastic but the star of the show is the carrot cake. Carrot cake is my favorite cake but I have to say this is the best one I have ever tried. There is a layer of candied walnuts that add a hit of flavor and texture. The matcha and yuzu was also a great try. People seemed to like the coffee and chai here but I would suggest the peppermint hot chocolate.

The best bakery in Portland! The croissants are amazing, so crunchy on the outside and soft inside, layers, and flaky. I recommend trying everything as its all very delicious. The service is always amazing and they are so kind. The cakes and other treats are tasty too. I recommend ordering ahead a few days to reserve things as they sell out like all the time!

Amazing. Place clean and cute, girl at the counter very pleasant and friendly, the mini cakes were amazing! Want to go back and get the Passionfruit Coconut Mousse now. The Matcha Yuzu was also amazing, as well as the Raspberry Lemon Tart. The Snickers was a little too peanut buttery for me. Was hoping for maybe some nougat, but others in my party really liked it, but just with tea to balance the richness. The Caramel Tart was not my favorite but others really liked it. So many more I still want to try, like the Earl Grey Raspberry Mousse and the Strawberry Lime Tart. Oh the cheesecake was also amazing. One of my peoples said it is the cheesecake of your dreams, that you always knew you wanted but could never find and he always eats cheesecake and loves it. I really want to order one and take it home and place a few canned cherries and a small smidgen of the gelatinous canned cherry syrup on the cake.

I’ve walked by this place a million times and the line is always long so I never stopped in.I was up early on a Saturday and got there when it opened and now I would 100% wait in the line. It is worth the hype. This is the beat crossiant I have ever had. It is perfectly flakely on the outside and so soft and perfect on the inside. Honestly, this would be the food I brought with me to a dessert island.

Tried the croissant, spinach feta breakfast pastry, and these two delicious custard-filled beauties. Loved EVERY bite! I read some reviews of people skeptical of the croissants, saying they tasted burned or that they were “normal” — well those reviews were wrong and the croissants were so amazingly flavorful and flakey. My partner and I had a wonderful brunch date, and we would come back again!

Had the best experience! I got the mushroom croissant and it was delicious, flaky, savory, perfectly seasoned and huge for $4. Couldn’t ask for anything better. I also wanted some help deciding on a sweet treat and the worker was so kind and thoughtful and incredibly helpful. I got the matcha mousse cake with yuzu lemon curd and it was beyond delicious!!!!!! Maybe one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. 10/10

Wow, wow, wow! What a patisserie! We havent eaten Korean or Japanese pastries and desserts this good since visiting Japan in 2019. We will be back. The flakiness of the croissants, with roasted sesame on top; the chocolate croissant was even better than the savory ones. The cookies are an edible work of art, and the desserts are on a whole other level. 10 stars is more accurate.

Update (Sep 2021): Revisited Jinju and had a traditional croissant. It was so flaky that I made such a mess eating it, haha. Its quite big too, absolutely loved it.Original (Feb 2021): Jinju is one of my (three) favorite pâtisseries in PDX! On my first visit I had a pain au chocolat and an almond croissant, they are huge with fluffy layers. Maybe a little too sweet to my taste but overall I really liked them. The other time I came in the afternoon so lot of pastries are already out, I got their savory mushroom and cheese croissant, and it is still very tasty. There are also a huge and various selection of other pastries, cakes, and chocolates among others. They are not my cup of tea but lets just say that they all look so good!

One of the best croissants Ive ever had. The other one being Koko bakery in Boston lol. Had the chocolate and ham&cheese. Both were abundantly baked with butter and came crunchy on the outside with layers and moist on the inside. Dont settle for doughy mushy croissants at pastry shops that arent any better than the Costco croissant pack. Come here instead!
