I had so much fun getting my make done by Rocket and Katherine for my daughter’s wedding reception. My skin never felt so good, and my 70 -some year old face looked younger, brighter and lovely. I am looking forward to going back for a facial!

Katherine is so incredibly talented. She’s a professional and does everything with love. She loves what she does and loves people which makes it so much fun and easy getting your facial. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in what she does. I tell everyone about her. From hair to facials. She does them all in her cute space located Downtown Portland! My friend has eczema and psoriasis. Katherine was able to give her a glowing facial. After two weeks of not seeing my friend her skin wasn’t peeling like it used to and for the first time I noticed that huge difference!! Incredible results! I also got pca acne products from Event Cosmetics and am so glad I did! They work wonderfully.Thank you to the most talented beautiful lady!

They were such a great investment! I cant imagine a better team to take care of my girls, COIVD or not. Not only were they extremely professional, they made me feel safe and pampered. They took every precaution but still spared no expense to make our wedding day looks come alive. They went above and beyond with their generosity and I will be back to her for all my skin needs in the future. They are not only educated in makeup, but skin health as well. My friend Kay recently got me into this amazing Business! She referred me to get some lash lift and a facial done! Katherine did such an AMAZING JOB on my facial and my lash lift! She rehydrated my skin with a special facial made for my skin type and I don’t have that bad of dry skin anymore! My skin feels soooo fresh and smooth! Thank you sooo much Katherine for working my my dry skin issue! And some cute lash lift too! Defiantly recommend! 💕

We use the artists from Event Cosmetics for all of our on-air needs at OPB-TV and they are wonderful. They are always prepared and willing to adjust to the needs of time, budget and/or taste of the client.Katherine and her crew are perfectionists, but also know the needs of TV production and are always ready to adjust/touch up anything at the last minute (Even when its something to do with jewelry, clothing or other needs outside of their responsibility). We trust and count on them exclusively!

I do not wear a lot of makeup but sometimes I have to for special occasions. Katherine and her team of artists are amazing and always know exactly the right products and application to deal with whatever skin disaster I am facing on those days. She also is in touch with a gazillion brilliant hair stylists and can put together a team for just about any need - huge law office photo shoot? Check. Wedding in Seattle, Portland, or Bend? TV appearance at 6am? Check. Katherine was a national artist for Prescriptives for 20 years before EC so she knows her custom blends. I wholeheartedly recommend EC to my friends and clients, and use her services whenever I can.

My go to place for makeup. I try to shop sustainably (locally) and vegan, and many of their products are cruelty-free, and Event Cosmetics is POC/woman owned too! Katherine and her team are simply lovely, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a more wonderful team. Their makeup has basic, no frills packaging, so I was surprised at the quality initially, but it’s clear Katherine designs the product with function in mind and not aesthetic based on packaging. The foundation/cover up shade range is extensive (I’m quite fair with pink undertones, I struggle to find a match that isn’t yellow) and their lipsticks and glosses are creative and eye-catching. In particular I’ve been really happy with the products from the City of Roses line, which was formulated to raise money for Rose Haven shelter. The overnight mask smells sooooo good, and has done wonders for my skin—I also used it when I got a sunburn and it worked great for that. The glowy moisturizer from the same line has replaced my GlamGlow, and the Ph-balancing lipstick changes color to be a perfect match. Ive also had a few facials by Katherine, and a lash tint. She is kind, funny, and gentle during services, and takes a lot of pride in making you feel great. I’ve been using their products for almost three years now! I wish I could give EC more stars.

Wow - that is all I have to say.I contacted them to try to get an idea of their price range for bridal hair and makeup as well as for bridesmaids. They were slow to respond and I had a follow up question to which they they did not respond for 7 days. Only after I sent another inquiry did I get any answer and that answer was rude and unprofessional. I understand that there are specifics that will change the ultimate price for services, however I also believe that a general price range should be given - with as many disclaimers and caveats as you please. This is the response I got for even asking for a general sense of how much bridesmaids hair and makeup would cost:If price is your primary concern, Event Cosmetics will likely not be agood fit for you. We are the premier makeup artistry company intown, providing expert artists and superior service. If beauty is notone of your top wedding day priorities, you may want to exploreother options.This needless to say left me speechless. I am not having a cheap wedding, I fully intend to spend as much as is reasonable (my budget is on the high end of what is average for makeup and hair in that metro area) to have a high level of service and end result - however, I am also not a silly person who throws caution and practicality to the wind and just runs in and says charge me whatever based on no comparison!I am a practical, logical person who has approached planning my wedding using best practices, professional advice and meticulousness. Asking for even a general sense of how much services would range should not be a question that warrants such a defensive and rude response. If this attitude and presentation is in any way representative of the culture and practices of this company then I would urge you to take your business to some place that treats people with respect. Snobbery is so ugly.

She went the extra mile for me on my wedding day that was headed for a disaster. 7 years later, I am still buying their make up from another state because its that good!
