Despite the graveyard 🪦⚰️🪦 that is Lloyd Center, this location of GameStop seems to be perpetually busy. Despite that, they do a really good job of moving people through the line in a timely manner. Somehow they manage to do this while still coming across as not only friendly but helpful as well. Also, I appreciate how their employees dont try to keep pushing unneeded warranties and whatnot upon me if Ive already said no once (because seriously, who ACTUALLY needs a warranty for a 3ds game that is selling for $20???).

I was very disappointed that the cashier that was taking my games in for trade in, marked almost every single one down for being scratched/damaged when they were all in mint to near mint condition. When I questioned him, he said it was due to them needing to be serviced to ensure they played properly. Also, the prices offered were lower than the prices I had been quoted using their online service. The only reason this isnt a 1 star review is unlike anywhere else I was actually able to get cash for them and not just in-store credit.

This location was closed for a few weeks recently due to a fire in the mall and I was very pleased to see them open again!

Had a great experience. Staff were super friendly and helped me get what I wanted quickly and cheerfully. I was there around 4 on 12/30 and the young lady with the cape helped me. She answered all my questions, chatted with me about games and was really great. I didnt catch her name. I havent been in the Lloyd Center for a couple of years. Seeing all the closed stores was weird.

Not much of a selection, guy was having a nervous breakdown and store employee did a great job assisting customer and locating emergency services.

One of the worst stores Ive been in a long time the cashier was helping 1 customer for over 30 minutes and ignoring the other customers in line Ive worked at several stores by myself so I know you ring up other customers and go back two the one you where helping before.

There are very few used games here. Mostly just new games, which Ive found are consistently overpriced, comparatively. The main reason for the 1 star is that an employee flat out lied to me today. I bought 2 new games, one of them being Luigis Mansion 3 for Nintendo Switch. The lone employee (who Im pretty sure was a manager) tried to upsell me on the multiplayer expansion pack for it, as I had mentioned my intention to play that game multiplayer with my daughter. When I asked what the expansion pack included, she said, it allows you to play multiplayer. I said, cant you play multiplayer already? With the game box in hand, she said, No. Luigis Mansion 3 is a single player game. You need the expansion pack to play multiplayer. I declined to purchase the expansion and I had to also ask that she remove the protection plan purchases that she automatically added to my purchase without asking me. After I left the store I looked at the box and it clearly says 1-8 players. I then looked online and confirmed that even the main story mode can be played couch co-op. She bold-faced lied to me in an attempt to make an extra $10. I can only imagine the intense pressure these poor employees must be under from corporate to upsell customers, when they will lie to your face, knowing you will immediately discover their lie upon leaving their store. I will never go here again.As a side note, its also very frustrating that they open new product, so they can have a display box. This means that if you buy their last copy of a new game, you will end up with a game that has been opened and handled, which is not considered new by literally anybodys standards, besides Game Stop. They could easily reprint box art and put it on an empty box for display purposes, instead of selling opened and handled games as new.

So, my xbox decided not to work today. I called Microsoft and was over warranty, so they were unhelpful. I called gamestop and spoke to Jaime (spelling?). She was super helpful and let me to bring my xbox in and see if it was just the power cord going bad. I dont think thia is a store policy, but it worked. My Xbox is working now and Jaime made my day. Would definitely recommend this gamestop in the mall just because of her. Super helpful and nice. Give this excellent employee some bonus points for helping me out, and making a sale.

This place is great, Sam is the absolute bomb. She goes above and beyond, as does her staff. If ever you need a game, console or just general gaming info, this is the place to be!

There was a line but not too long people went through quickly

#1 the worker was great#2 never again will I shop at gamestop, I will not reward their new system. They purposelfully do not let you know what they have in stock so you have to go in to their stores to up traffic and sales. Do I like beimg manipulated, no. Never again will I shope at/through gamestop. Fools.

Just but it online. They will sell you games you still have to get ea or whatever pass for that you would have gotten the game for free anyways. Why buy a disc that can scratch and then you try and trade it o sell it and dont get nothing for it. Let this company go under. Its not like its cheaper than just buying online.

They usually have what I am looking for online or in the store but the store reps can be iffy. Alot of new hires without a lot of training.

Store is hard to move around in a wheelchair. The aisle leading to the registers is too narrow making it difficult to get the attention of employees if they are behind the counter and impossible to get to the registers.

I went in to buy a used PS4 right before closing, the store was packed with only two employees. Both Jamie and Sean were handling it like troopers, even under stress, they were both very friendly and helpful the whole time I was there.Fast forward a few days and Im realizing the PS4 I got is having general technical issues. So I bring it back in and Sam was very understanding, got me a different system and even cleaned it off (she mentioned dust might be the problem.)All around excellent customer service and an awesome experience where the employees made all the difference to what might otherwise be a pain in the a**.Thanks guys! Ill definitely be back!

I dont know how I always end up here but I find myself in this GameStop more often than not. The employees are always friendly and very knowledgeable regarding new and upcoming games. The only problem is that the store can get a little busy. Such is life!

Its not the employees fault corporate forces maximum profitability and ruins customer experience. Its generally better to go online and get a better price because its just not an enjoyable experience here. I hate the constant up selling. And the shelves are designed to force you to hunt and seduce you into impulse shopping. We have better game stores in town.

One of my favorite Game Stops. Lloyd Center is one of my favorite shopping ventures when I come to Portland from Tacoma. But I only wish they had more options for a food court.But it really doesnt matter because they have so much fast food within 2 miles of the mall and restaurants.

Good place for new and used games. You can usually find the game you are after if the timing is right. Then you can save money! Which gives you money for more games 😂

I like their game selections and their prices are fair, for the most part pretty on par with the market.The store is always clean.If its busy, it may take a little while to get rung up...they only have 2 registers.If i had to think of a con, i would say the place is too small lolWill definitely keep coming back.

Did not give me the bonus item that was suppose to come with the game I bought telling me I had to preorder it despite having a poster on the wall advertising bonus pins with purchase, no where did it say you must have pre ordered the game.Will not be shopping here again because I felt cheated. Rather take my business to Best Buy.Another thing is they constantly hound you to pre order stuff, or buy a protection plan on a game which is very useless.

This location always seems to hire terrible people who dont know what customer service truly is. There was one nice lady who was fairly quiet but the one that helped me was unfortunately rude, rolled her eyes and spoke in very belittling manner. Once it came down to asking me if I needed any sort of warrantys she perked up though.. Just left to go to the other one across the town. Dont hire kids that cant handle basic work.

Found some games I was looking for & staff is very helpful with my questions, & showed me where to find what I came in there for.

They have a good staff right now. No one hovers over you. They know why youre there and they let you look.

I was told by Microsoft that GameStop could help test a power cord for my Xbox. I came into this location and they said that they can’t do that. So I left and I called the GameStop on Barnes road and they said they absolutely could test the cord for me. I called this location back and the girl, who claimed to be a manager, said they still can’t do it. So if you want help don’t waste your time going to this location because they obviously don’t care about their customers!!!!

Its... Kinda redundant these days.All the major consoles have downloadable games and big hard drives. Cheaper downloads than physical copies.However...If you want to check out a good selection of sightly older games, this might be heaven to you.

I came here during the Black Friday rush with a complicated return and Sam was so helpful and kind to me. As hot and hectic as it was in there, the entire staff was charming and willing to help and made it such a pleasant experience.

I called back the third time and was told to call back at least he said call back he is busy he just didnt hang up on me this time. I give 5 stars for customer service alone. Katie was super understanding about my situation and worked with me. I got the wrong game for my kid because I dont know one pokemon game from another but Katie was super helpful and didnt make me feel like the clueless mom I am. Very professional and upbeat. Katie is awesome!!!

Its gamestop. Why is Google asking me to rate chain stores that run by major corporations, and are all over the country? Are you near Lloyd Center, and want a video game NOW!!!!!? Get your tuches over here. If they happen to have what your looking for (more likely if you own a current gen system unlike myself) you will be playing it as soon as you get home. I will admit I added a star because the last time I went there my Queenie roommate told me that the woman behind the counter was flirting with me, and I was flattered.

Employees Ive come in contact with are generally very rude. I get having a bad day or not enjoying your job but when I get hung up on after asking one question and having an answer instead of them waiting or asking if they can assist further is just plain rude. In-store is no better as they often dont like answering questions or being talked to.

The staff here is great. Space is a little cramped, especially when it is super busy. Can usually find an obscure ds or vita game. Used games cycle pretty fast, so there is usually something new. Always has the newer, big name titles. Prices are a little high, but sometimes you can find some killer deals. Its my go-to gamestore based on the convenience of the location. Its right on the max and streetcar line.

Great place to go if you want to save on consoles games, merch and accessories! Amazing service too! John is incredible. Really high energy and focused. The people here are fun to talk to and very knowledgeable. If something isnt in stock, they can check inventory online and at other stores for you, and even call the other locations to make sure the item is in stock, and put a hold on it for you.If youre making a big purchase, I would highly recommend becoming a member of the Powerup Rewards program. There are two versions currently, the free one and a paid one. Its kind of like Safeways or Fred Meyers program. You get points for everything that you buy, except you can use the points to buy anything in the store and online, including pre-orders.
