Super friendly staff, lots of good products for whatever youre looking for. Owner chatted with me a bit and you can tell he loves the job and the industry. The store is welcoming and has a great atmosphere. Check them out
Cozy game shop with a solid selection of Magic the Gathering singles and booster packs/commander decks. They also had Pokemon and I think some miniatures, but I dont know much about those. I found the prices on MtG singles to be really good, and the person behind the counter was friendly and very helpful. Overall an A+ experience.
Love this place. Went in with my s/o and daughters and had a great experience. Guy behind the counter (owner?) was really nice, answered our questions, gave great service, and offered some background on the place. Great experience, made a purchase simply for the good time, will be back to get more! Check it out! Looks like they were possibly broken into also which is a shame for a local business so make sure to support so they can get more products
Absolutely PHENOMINAL card shop. The owner was super friendly to me, finding a card I needed in a booster and giving it to me (free of charge.) Had a great selection of cards, I got almost all of my cards there I needed for my deck. Was super helpful and friendly with me, Id love to go again. 10/10, I would love to go once I come back.
This place has the best deals ever i went to plotter store and it was 9 bucks for 2 pokemon cards here it was 5 bucks for three better pokemon
Pretty cool place... The guy I spoke to was nice enough. He didnt particularly treat me badly, or well... He was kind of nonchalant about my presence. I tried sparking conversation, and expressed my interest in the game or Magic The Gathering.. But he either wasnt interested in speaking about it, or... I dont know. Maybe I smelled funny? LolMy reason for being there was to present the Magic cards I had and see how much u could get for it... I know nothing about the game, other than the basics.. And I especially dont know anything regarding value of magic cards. I excepted the first offer he told me.. And I left.Theres not a lot of stuff inside the store. Its been there for more than a year now. I live very close by. And I expected them to have more stuff in the store by now. But no.. No shelves with merchandise, other than the simple glass cases.. Very open, and empty place. Nothing to really get you excited about. Its also dimly lit.Anyway, if you need a place to go in a hurry... Come here. If you want super friendly staff, welcoming interior, and lots of stuff to look at and spend money on, dont come here.
My favorite LGS in Portland. Zakk is amazing - super friendly, great prices, encyclopedic knowledge about cards, and fun to chat with about history and camping. Check it out! :)
Have gone here several times in the past year for YuGiOh product and my experience every time with the guy behind the counter has been weird. It’s like if you don’t play Magic, then they’re not very interested in you being there. He’s not very friendly and he’s not very helpful. After calling today and inquiring about product, I thanked him and said I appreciated his help. He replied with utter silence and I ended the call on that note. They must do most of their business online because there isn’t very much product in the store and lots of empty space.I’d happily support this business more, since I play multiple TCG’s, but the people there just aren’t the community building type of people. Because of that, I’ll continue to drive out further East and West to do business with The Yu-Gi-Oh Outlet & Guardian Games.
This has become one of my favorite neighborhood places. Really welcoming, helpful, and all around excellent customer service.
Stopped into the shop for the first time yesterday just to check it out and had a very pleasant experience. Owner seemed pretty down to earth, lots of MTG singles for sale and fairly priced. I’m trying to support my local game store more now just trying to keep them open threw COVID so the when this is behind us they will still be here and we can play together again. So I bought a couple cards and a pack of Sleeves. Was surprised when he told me the price of one of the cards was $2 LESS then listed on C.K. And no shipping. Definitely coming back. Hope your around for years to come.
Terrific knowledgeable service and reliable stock. Small, to the advantage of its customers. Great atmosphere cultivated by the owner.
Super friendly owners who are extremely knowledgeable!! Would definitely return, they were fun to talk to!!
I like this place cuz its owned by good people that are helpful and honest, the prices are the same or less than other places (MTG packs are cheaper than anywhere else in town last I checked). Parking is usually fine on Broadway.
It’s a pretty nice place but his elite trainer boxes are overpriced and the guy wasn’t mean but wasn’t nice
Stellar local store to buy and sell cards
Not much in the way of games.
Do you have the pokemon booster box and if you do how much is it.
Friendly local game shop that hosts well-organized events on a weekly basis. The owner/manager is a really great guy who just likes to see others enjoy games like Magic: the Gathering.
So helpful. Takes the time to make sure you get just what you want, and unlike most card shops in Portland does not make you feel like youre bothering them when you feel like help. Did not have all the cards I wanted but helped me find good alternatives. Great little shop.
Experience Points is the best. The owner is always patient with middle school kids who shop at his store. My 11-year-old plays Magic there during pre-release events and is treated with respect and kindness.
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Nice place to chill and play a few rounds
The staff is great. Only place I know of that you can sell off trading cards in Portland. You can just sit down at a table with friends and play a game. One problem is there isnt any free water, so you can get very thirsty while there, so bring water. Prices of products are cheap.
Great little magic shop (MTG). Best prices on singles in the Portland metro area, if they got it, plus best trade in value. Cards come and go the way they do at this neat place to sling spells. Friendly staff.
My fiancé and I just visited this store on a trip to Portland and we had a great time at Experience Point! Great case selection, lots of open tables for gaming and a real cool owner. Would recommend to anyone looking for a store to play/shop at.
Cute little shop with good prices. WAY too hot in there, though, especially with the summer months approaching. I wont return until they install an air conditioner.
This place is great. The most knowledgeable people Ive met on Magic: The gathering. Everything is a bit cheaper then others stores.
A Small but Nice Little Local Neighborhood Gaming Store
Don’t let the small store fool you - Experience Point has incredibly knowledgeable staff, as well as draws in a broad and engaged community. They’ve been phenomenal with my 5 year old as he’s picked up Pokémon, and have been patiently helping me as I’ve picked up both Pokémon and Magic The Gathering alike. This place really does offer something for both beginners and enthusiasts, players and supporters. Definitely check it out!
We love this little store. They are very nice and have a variety of Pokēmon cards. Good prices too.
Great little shop! Been a patron of this store for close to 4 years. They have a great selection of magic and pokemon singles, fat packs, and boosters. Also one of the few places I can find miniatures for D&D and Pathfinder. Ive enjoyed watching this business grow, because the owners are just amazing. My first choice nerd shop in portland.
The dude with the ponytail in there tried giving me 11 dollars for $70 dollars worth of cards. No paperwork no asking for my ID like you would expect I think he was trying to rip me and the store off but the other employee the chick one is alright
Unpretentious and friendly with plenty of space for new and veteran magic players to gather and play.
Great shop if youre searching for a small-scale community feel. Great selection of Magic singles and products, as well as Pokémon sealed product. Seriously, the best prices of any local gaming shop!
Great people nice intimate space.
Staff is friendly, helpful, and kind to new players. A nice quiet atmosphere where I have never felt judged or looked down upon for not knowing something.
Friendly environment, quiet little corner card shop that sells miniatures, Magic the gathering cards, packs and decks, as well as Pokemon trading card packs and decks. Even saw a few miniatures in there. A great place to chill and nerd out for a few hours.
Very nice but small gaming store. Lots of Miniatures appropriate for D&D at the store for reasonable prices.
Nice staff, support this store in the Hollywood district.
Good store. Nice people. Fair prices.
Super small, but has a good selection of MTG singles and tcg accessories. Priced better than bigger stores
Always friendly when I have gone in and the prices are very reasonable
Love this place. There owner in nice and pleasant to deal with
Locally owned shop catering to Pokemon & Magic the Gathering players.Friendly, helpful Staff!
Small but I had fun here! Went for DnD and that’s what we did.
Nice selection of Pokemon cards, friendly staff.
Super friendly community here. Great place to go have fun.
Small store but nice, engaged staff and fun mtg game nights.
Had a great time there!
Small but excellent shop. There are tables, cards, and people to play with.
Awesome owners, great place to pick up Magic the Gathering cards
I love it, low prices and lots of freindly people
Small store, small selection, chairs were super uncomfortable. Staff was helpful though.
Events! Games! Fun place to hang out.
Great store and the best prices in town!
MTG card shop. A variety of singles and packs for sale. Most inventory competes with internet prices. Check em out!
Best place in town for limited Magic.
Theyre literally just sitting around playing games. Asked to see some cards, owner told me to wait so he can finish his Hearthstone game, ended up leaving.
Amazing place just amazing has some cards stolen and this place received them called the police and I was able to get all of them back couldn’t be more grateful speechless!!!!!!!!!!!!
Helpful and friendly staff
Owners kinda just sit playing video games. But they sold me cards, so it ended up aight
Kind, helpful and generous
Staff is very friendly, they humored me by playing some rounds of magic. I have stopped in a couple times and it did not seem very busy. Probably picks up when there are events.
Lowest prices for Magic and Pokemon cards. I go here every week and wouldnt dream about going anywhere else.
Staff are amazing.
Small store with friendly staff. Limited selection, But I miss little neighborhood gaming shops like this one.
Five stars!
