This is a more infrequent but regular coffee stop of mine. I go for the breakfast burritos, YUMMY, and a tasty mocha. AND sometimes indulge in a delicious baked goodie. I notice some baked goods are gluten free but Ive never tried those. I still only eat outside...limited 3 picnic table with umbrellas. In rainy weather they have canopy up so you can order outside but be covered from the rain. But inside is now open. I love to browse the books, which you can check out!

I adore this place !!!!! i come in frequently and order a custom drink and the staff & the books ALWAYS makes me feel so at home :)on my most recent visit, I forgot that they werent currently accepting cash and i had no way of paying, but, without judgement, the barista created a tab for me and said I could pay for it the next time :) their kindness made my day !!!!(the house made zucchini muffins are a MUST TRY!!!!)

Love love love this coffee shop. I always thought I didn’t like coffee. But an iced vanilla latte from The Stacks always puts a little pep in my day. Get a mini zucchini bread! You won’t regret it. They also carry Jen & Bee’s pastries which is one of the best bakeries in town. Their cinnamon rolls are fantastic. The people at The Stacks are friendly and efficient. Just a really lovely local business that I’m happy to call my neighborhood coffee shop.

This place is my favorite coffee shop in all of Portland. Not only is the coffee great (and highly recommend the breakfast tacos) but it’s a chill space where I can sit and work on my laptop for hours at a time. I’m so glad to have found this gem almost a year ago!

We came because we always see a line out so wanted to see what the rave is all about. Coffee is not bad but the operation is really chaotic and no real line so people are just scattered on the side walk. When asked when our online order will be ready, the cashier went back to ask the barista and she rudely told him a time. Instead of coming to inform us, he texted us and left us waiting at the window...just really weird behavior and I personally felt very much that they don’t care about our business. Bummer. Had high hopes. I guess we will be supporting other small local business near by.

This place is a gigantic walk in Free Little Library. Comfortable says it all. I went in to see if they would accept books... they do.... ended up having tea.... then an egg taco. I wish I stilled owned the house around the corner, but it is a nice walk from my grandmothers house.

Nice coffee shop. As the photos show, theres tons of books, donated by the neighborhood and bought at library sales. You can borrow them too for free.Coffee is really really tasty. The tables are small and tight, but plenty of seating. Theres one long table for large parties, and plenty of small ones for people looking to work on their laptop. In a 20 minute session, I overheard 4 customers buy tacos. I havent tried it. But seems popular.

I often visit The Stacks as it is in my neighborhood and thats exactly how it feels - a neighborhood coffee shop were you can get a great cup of coffee, get to know people, and spend some time together with your community. The best part: exploring their book shelves and finding a good book to sit with or seeing what others are reading around the shop can be a great conversation starter to meet new people.

Stacks Coffee shop is among one of my favorite coffee shops in Portland. The house made baked goods and hand crafted coffee concoctions are lovingly tailored to make your day. Not to mention the playlist is always on point, coupled with their massive collection of take a book leave a books, makes the vibe just right for any day rain or shine.

Quiet, charming, open space. Youre surrounded by stacks of books you can browse through. Solid hot chocolate woth ample whipped cream. Cannot wait to try more from the simple but fulfilling menu. They also have small bites if youre on the hungrier side. Great place to both be alone and meet with people quietly.

Been to the coffee shop a bunch of times.. until the last time. After listening to the barista have an obscene conversation with a customer for 45 minutes, I realized I am quite tired with unprofessionalism. Its too bad because all other things considered, its a great place. But last I checked, Im a customer and its a business. If youre so oblivious that youre servicing customers and have such blatant disrespect.. its surreal. Truly surreal and sad.
