Ive been here many times and have never been disappointed. The smoked maple latte is amazing and I love their blueberry hand pies.

Um yes! From what I know they are newer in the Portland area but their coffee is awesome! The lattes are crafted with care. They use fresh and homemade ingredients like their caramel for lattes. Their current seasonal honey lavender latte was also really good.They also have an assortment of pastries to choose from that are filling. I would go get a cinnamon bun if I were you!

The ratings are legit. Everytime Ive been to the Proper Cup Ive left as a satisfied customer. The salted maple latte is my favorite treat and hands down one of the best flavored lattes Ive ever had. The employees are always really welcoming and lovely, I would definitely recommend stopping in and grabbing a coffee if youre in the area!

Can’t understate enough how awesome this place is! The Baristas are very professional, nice and efficient. They serve some of the best espresso and coffee in Portland, hands down. They even remembered my face after a month of not coming by, thanks friends 🥺

Wow!!! My favorite place from my Portland trip. Breakfast sandwich was great and coffee was amazing! Their mask policy is the greatest I’ve seen since this pandemic started and they enforce it! If you’re anti mask don’t bother coming here.

I don’t like black iced coffee but this is the only place where I would get it. Highly recommend. Super nice staff. Always gets orders right.

Best coffee I have ever had, usually I have to add Expresso to all my coffee beverages when ordering out but this time it was perfect without. I tried the cold brew and reg hot cup. Def a proper cup of coffee

Their coffee is seriously top quality! Each drink is made with special attention and care to ensure the best taste possible. The flavor is amazing! I got an iced mocha with oat milk today and it was so perfectly balanced and creamy. The taste lingered in my mouth, making the experience even more satisfying. Dont come here if you are looking to slam a coffee back for the caffeine. Come here and savor every sip.

Hands down the best coffee and customer service around! Drinks are made with so much care and attention-- Milk is frothed to perfection, lattes are hot without being scalded and there is always a lovely person handing it to you with a smile. If you appreciate good coffee, you will notice the difference here in how much they love coffee, too.

When I write a review and give it 5 stars I mean it and this time its for the coffee. The espresso was dialed in wonderfully to bring out the bright fruity flavors. Its worth coming here for your cup of joe. My husband and I drove from New York to Maine and we are picky to begin with when it comes to espresso. The 4.9 stars dont lie.

I am 99% an espresso drinkers and love me some gooooddd Espresso. I Ordered a Honey Lavender latte. This was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. If you love coffee come here!

This is the most pretentious, classist coffee shop Ive ever seen. You can smell the privilege a mile away. They dont even serve iced coffee because apparently only commoners still drink it. I go in once in a while just to scare the rich folks and remind them that poor people exist.

The spinach, feta, artichoke croissant w/pumpkin seeds was delicious, moist and flaky. The coffee was perfect.

Decent coffee but they require a mask, even if vaccinated, but the cashier handles cash and then goes and touches the lids of your coffee cups without any cleansing.Sanitation is sanitation.

This place is a true gem! I love getting an almond milk mocha with half the chocolate—its perfect! Really cozy, and the perfect spot to settle in and get some work done. My favorite days are the ones when they have norimoto treats in stock.

The space is open and beautiful and there are plenty of places to comfortably sit and work. The man behind the counter was also very friendly. Low key. Free parking available and WiFi.

Stopped in for a simple cup of coffee. They offer free WiFi and have a nice, peaceful atmosphere. The customer service was excellent as well, if Im ever in the area, I would definitely stop in again. Sidenote, supporting your local businesses, rather then the big chains is the way to go!

Great place. I had a great cup of blood orange hibiscus tea and spent some time with my sister. Food and coffee both smelled and looked phenomenal. Believe the high ratings here. Its worth the trip.

The Proper Cup lives up to its name; Ive had multiple excellent lattes here. The baked goods are solid though nothing special, and the seating is plentiful though not especially comfortable, but when it comes to coffee, these folks know what theyre doing. If your top priority in selecting a coffee shop is the quality of the coffee, The Proper Cup is a great choice.

My new favorite place for a great cup of coffee in Portland. Its a little outside my normal orbit around town but worth the extra steps. Very comfortable. The coffee is fantastic. Quiet enough to work, private enough for a job interview.

A great little cafe.I quite literally stumbled upon The Proper Cup by accident, and Im glad I did. It has quickly become my favorite coffee spot in the area, due to the prices, atmosphere, and quality of product.I usually get the mocha latte, which is delicious and packs a punch. Ive also tried a few of their pastries, which always look delicious and always seem to be rotating. They do a lot of tarts and fruit pies, as well as cake and even a few savory items.Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this place. Definitely check it out.

Just started going here. Great spot off the crowded peninsula. Nice job with the coffee here. The space is well laid out, comfortable and not overdone.

The staff was really nice and coffee was good. I didnt love that they didnt have any reading material. I know most people are on their device of choice, but some people still want to relax with a magazine or paper with their coffee. All they had was a motorcycle magazine. Not exactly a crowd pleaser. With all of the local free papers available, it wouldnt even cost anything to offer them. One of the baristas kindly gave us her Smithsonian mag. :)

Really liked the lattes and raspberry coconut cake. Easier to find parking in this neighborhood. The crew there made us feel very welcome....

Love this new spot in Portland. It is comfy, nice decor, coffee is good, service is great. The parking isnt great because its right on Forest Ave but I havent bad problems with this the last two times I parked.

This was a short walk from where I was staying and Im so glad it was. Their green tea was perfect for a sore throat. And their coffee is amazingly delicious .I had an Americano with a little whole milk, a mixed berry pastry, and a piece of coffee cake and all of it was fantastic.
