We came into the store close to closing, wanting to transfer 4 phones from 3 separate carriers to a new business plan… that’s a lot to ask for! Not once did either employee turn us down or tell us it was too much to do that late in the day. They worked so hard, solving multiple issues and staying late, with smiles on their faces. I’m so impressed with the staff at this store!!

I walked into the Verizon store in Portland, Texas with a huge problem that was not the managers fault. I was in this young mans store for two afternoons and he was diligent in his resolve to correct a problem created by the third party cell service sales company in Walmart.Eric is professional, caring and smart. Eric at the Portland store was multitasking he had three accounts going at once. There is always a line of 8 people at this store but hes well worth the wait.
I haven’t been here in a few months. Whenever I was there, 2 woman were working, one white, tall, and young. The other Hispanic, short, middle aged. I noticed the older woman treating her poorly. I received great customer service from the younger one. The review would be 5 if just for her. The older lady gave me very bad attitude and was not willing to help and even got mad at the younger woman for helping me. Apparently that lady is the manager. She is so horrible!!

Eric was awesome. he patiently helped me with an urgent problem caused by Verizon Wireless corporate customer service. He went above and beyond to help resolve a totally messed up order from them and make it right!
Customers are required to wear masks. Staff doesn’t. That is the least of the issues at this store. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen. They both sit behind their desks and won’t get up to help customers. Every question is answered with, “ummm. I think...” and then they go on to provide information that is wrong. Terrible terrible customer service! Drive into Corpus to be treated better and get correct information!!

I have used this store with my wife for 5+ years with no complaints. My entire family uses Verizon and are all on my plan.Today my wife went to the store to activate her new phone, There were three people working in the store, Krista? was the rep working with her. She kept yawning and talking about how tired she was, my wife should have asked for someone else. The service was lackluster and she failed to handle the transfers and said the wifi signal at the store was weak. She told my wife to go home and do it all there!Needless to say, we pay a high monthly, I will start looking at the Spectrum pricing.
They were courteous and knowledgeable. Helped me with setting up my new phone, and making sure everything was backed up. Shout out to Saul for helping me out with the process.

This is more of a review on the overall appearance of the store. None of the display phones work and some of the display models are several years old like the iPhones for example. The store is eerily quiet and does not present a modern image with the use of the old Verizon logo very prominent. I get that its a 3rd party store, but even the local 3rd party at&t and t-mobile stores look a lot more lively!
This years visit to the Portland store, like our last few, was excellent. The associates there were friendly, more helpful than I could ever dream of, and professional in every way. Nathan asked for assistance with a troublesome task from his co-workers and they all jumped in with thoughts on how to get the problem taken care of. Will return too the Portland store for all my Verizon needs and phone problems.

Traveled 30+ miles to get assistance with setting up new IPhone after talking with Justin. Tried myself, disaster!! Old dog, new tricks😩 He was very patient and set me up effortlessly. I asked for his contact info knowing I’d have more questions yet to come. He is the greatest!!
Justin was absolutely wonderful. He was so patience switching over mine and my daughters service from ATT. He took his time with us, And had the best character I could of asked for. He made the transition easy and painless. Both of our phones transferred over without losing anything. Double thumbs up Justin. Sending mom my to you next.. you’re a Godsend.

Dont ever buy a phone from this store. Poor customer service. No knowledge of what phones they have. When u need them to help u they wont. I would rather drive to corpus then go to this store. I returned the note 7 to this store and I am fighting to get them to clear my account. They charge to put all your info on your phone. If u have problems with your account they can only do so much then they have to call to get it done if they want to help. Better off going to corpus. There all about selling phones but not helping.
My wife took her phone in and they had the problems fixed in just a matter of a few minutes and we were on our way great service

I would give them 0 stars if I could. This place literally lied to me face and tricked me into purchasing a phone. I was told by the manager that I was getting a awesome deal, he was selling me a COP phone? He said because the box was damaged and already opened that I could get the phone for REAAAAALLLY cheap and just buy it outright. So I did, I dont know who wouldnt have. I didnt want a contract with the company so they told me I could buy the phone outright and pay as I go. I would never sign into a contract with a phone company. A year has passed and we went to the corpus store to have my line put on my boyfriends account. Turns out! Ive been in a 2 yr contract this entire time! I never signed anything and definitely never agreed to this. Not to mention! I ended up paying FULL price for the phone! (Almost $400) . Please dont ever go to this store! It is a 3rd party store so if you go to the Corpus one and request refunds etc. they wont do it because this store is run independently and they are worse than car salesman...(no offense). These people have very little knowledge and will do and say almost anything for a sale. Absolutely sickening to see companies like this take advantage of consumers. I WILL be reporting them to the BBB as well as filing a complaint with Corporate in hopes they are in default of some sort of business agreement, I mean after all, they are representing Verizon. Until then! Please take your money elsewhere.

I dont know if it was a manager, owner, or family member, but even just walking into the store was unappealing. It was like he didnt have the AC on and it smelled gross in there. Then, to have to walk up to the guy who looked like he hadnt showered in days and his grease stained T-shirt, I first wondered if he even worked there. He didnt bother to look up anything on my account and was super rude just giving me a random guess on a deductible on a phone he misidentified while his toddler ran amuck. Trash everywhere behind the desk, I mentioned the bad service at the store in Kingsville, to which he responded, oh yea, we own that too. Id rather drive the extra 30 minutes to the real store in Corpus Christi from now on. At least they have clean and friendly staff that actually want to help their customers.

The people who work here know nothing about customer service. The manager is a compulsive liar who lies to customers in order to give this friendly we are family impression when in reality the only family here is a bunch of family members who work at and run this place who protect each other and lie, and dont care about people. Sell used and refurbished phones as new ones. The manager went as far as to tell me about him living at the golf club and putting on a fake smile.. turns out he actually lives in a tiny duplex behind one hour Ac. This place is filthy, mice all over the place. Manager would rather stand outside smoking a pack of cigarettes than to help a customer. the young woman who was working there is very rude and is only there because she is in a relationship with the managers son apparently because his son is always in there with them as well. I used to come here all the time.. I will never go in that store again. Ive switched service providers and I hope this place gets shut down.

Hated it their prices were A lot higher no new phones were out trying to get ride of yesterdays news.. I was told they were a premier retainer and itd be an hour wait to look at the phone Verizon wireless already approved me for purchase..Bottom line they are a middle man jacking up prices.
This store must have bad management as the employees are rude! We stood waiting for over an hour and never even got acknowledged! 2 other customers come in and then left after 15 - 20 each, frustrated that they couldnt get service. Not even a we will be with you shortly, the girl looked up a few times and just rolled her eyes. The man finally waited on us and said he couldnt help us, he doesnt know how to do what we needed yet so we would need to wait for the girl.

Traded in two phones when I signed up and was supposed to receive a bill credit. Two months later I find out my phones were never sent in so the bill credit was never applied. I was never informed and now Im two months behind and my service was shut off.
