The counter I bought was garbage and doesn’t clean. The sales person tried to sell very ugly ones for cheap. Price was good but not worth it due to how awful the buying process was. Constantly arguing is required if you want to buy something reasonable but after a year you will regret the purchase

I have used Alices services for many years now. Be patient when working with with them as they are very busy and worth the wait. If youre planning a kitchen, granite countertop, wood floors or tile then youre going to find it pretty hard to beat this quality. Ive looked for years for a quality cabinet maker who doesnt use particle board and theyre rare and hard to find. Her cabinets are made with plywood, hardwoods, soft close hardware and finger joint millwork.Give her time to get her A team, theyre worth the wait, if youre in a rush she reluctantly will dispatch the b team and thats on you.

This is the best place in town to get stone or cabinets!!! I have been a contractor for the last ten years and Quality Home Building Supplies Company has the very best prices and service in town. I came in after getting a couple quotes QHBS gave me a better price and a faster install date by two week. I love this place!! it is the only place I will ever go to from now on. Alice is impossible to work with. The installers did a horrible job. one of two vanity sink is over 1 off from the center off the cabinet. She argued for well over an hour saying it was centered. Her installer even install a shelve after I told them it wasnt how I ordered with out fixing it first. (I was unable to be there the whole time they were there to supervise there work) She said she would provide material to redo but wants me to pay for labor again.

Alice is good at what she does. She is good at making things cost more.. the slabs in store are cheap and decent but her installers are terrible. Poor quality work and will even try take back any left over granite that you paid for after install.. my advice if you want to buy granite from her find an installer and buy the granite an have your installer pick it up. Thier installers are horrible with seams,friendliness,and quality

I am a contractor who sent some customers into pick granite tops. They picked new tops and cabinets and scheduled work. Then the supplier trued to talk customer into letting them do the tile i had bid on. Lucky for me the customer had a bad experience before and refused. This is not food practice. If you are a contractor i would buy my products elsewhere.

This is the most dishonest and unprofessional business Ive ever encountered. My wife and I ordered full kitchen cabinets and granite which included a spice rack. They basically sent cabinets that fit what measurements we had but wasnt at all what we ordered. The whole reason we went with this company was because they verbally said that they would include handles for the cabinets. When they showed up they denied that commitment claiming it wasnt itemized in the paperwork. They had to come back out several times to fix their shoddy work. The cabinets we ordered included a soft close feature and maybe half of them work. Also, were stuck with two of our cabinet doors and shelves that arent even the same color as the rest of the cabinets! Stay away from this place! Worst consumer experience ever!

So I just recommended this place to a friend. In fact my entire family uses her when they need counter tops. Im not sure if the reviews are based only on people who had an extremely poor experience but due to the fact that Ive been reading the reviews - this place deserves better reviews. From our experience, Alice was extremely kind. At the beginning she had a few clients and her daughter made sure to help us the best she could. Alice would come and check on us and help us out in between working with 2 other clients. Anyways, we bought granite for our kitchen and quartz for our bathrooms as well as a total of 4 new sinks and faucets AND plywood, her installers came in right on time (the day and time we expected them) and took their time to install every inch of the counter tops and sinks oh and yes they installed the plywood too. They did a fantastic job and spent about 14 hours installing everything and rechecking everything to make sure its leveled correctly. Any additional cuts needed they made on the spot. They took their time and we really appreciated that. Taking your time and moving slowly to get the job done right the first time is what they did and what we like to see done. Anyways, for all you folks out there who havent had a good experience - you honestly have to know what youre buying - you cant say her cabinets are cheap when YOU chose them - if you dont like them move on - her counter tops YOU HAVE OPTIONS you dont have to chose the cheapest option they have (we didnt) ANYWAYS the work they did turned out like a million bucks and our house sold within 24 hours and we had raving compliments on the countertops and bathrooms all thanks to Alice.We recommend her to anyone. Just a friendly advice - have patience and if you pay with all cash it helps! Oh and if you buy sinks and faucets just grab them the day of so you have them on hand.. it makes things so much easier.Oh and always sign documents (we learned that the hard way from another transaction we made with another company... but Alice has paperwork and everything she had on the paperwork she made sure we were happy with and that we had everything we needed)

Alice will drive you CRAZY! She is the only clerk so you have to wait a LONG time then she makes it so confusing that you dont know if you got a good deal or not. The average visit is 2 hours unless all you want is one thing that she has handy. Her invoices are confusing.

Alice is a stupid owner, so is her daughter, they dont know how to treat customers well, stay away, the street has many flooring suppliers who will give you good experience.These people are cheap, unprofessional, and they cheat in the materials they give you. If you try to return they will rip you off and charge you 50%. They always ask you for cash so they dont pay taxes !They could be talking to 100 customers at the same time, whoever has cash they will leave you and run to them. Very very bad people that will waster your time and energy and money.stay away from these jerks and find yourself a nice place to shop.You worked hard and you need a nice work and nice marble for your house, go for professional people that can help you improve your house not steal your money.

By far the worst service ever! if you want to be insulted, ignored and pay more than other good companies this is the place to go. The location in NW Portland is the worst and though the one in Beaverton is more pleasant. It is also owned by Alice Lim the same witch I encountered.

Alice knows more English than she lets on. Takes too long to deal with her. She quoted me a real good price when I came in to create my budget...When I went in to order the granite she claimed the back splash was not included, nor the bathrooms...long story...she yells too much...the price was double my budget amount. I am buying custom fabricated slabs from a local shop for less than her price. I am a builder, If you are going to buy pre fab Chinese counter top the price should be significantly cheaper than a local fabricator. By the way her cabinets are crap, compare hers to custom boxes. If you still want pre fab cabinets buy them at Parr or one of the big box stores. You will get more for your money. And I bet no one will yell at you.

We are professional flooring installers .We buying her wood flooring products for years and i know at least 15-20 contractors who purchasing here regularly. .Her flooring are very high quality .Her prices are very reasonable, i may even say the best in Portland metro area .Yes, you may wait for long time in line, customer service sometimes could be better .The same time a very most people who complaining, returning back and buying more .In case of some problems, Alice may argue but always take care, As for many others, they may smile, but either charge you money or do nothing .If you want to get high quality and save hundreds or thousand dollars and do not care about waiting 1-2 hours in line or limited English it is perfect place to buy .If you do not care about money but want to have nice customer service probably it is not a best place for you . The same time it will be very hard to match her quality even if you pay twice more money in other places . So far i buying from Alice for 14 years, never have any quality issue, i saved something between $50,000 - $80,000, never quality problems, average waiting time about 1 hour, average saving per deal $500 - $1000, when i needed some reducers nobody have it she got from China withing two weeks for more than reasonable prices .I do not know about others but for me it is well worth it .Cabinets. We made high end custom cabinets in our shop and of coarse we do not buy it from Alice . How ever i have seen her cabinets a lot .Of coarse it is not high end custom stuff but quality is better than in many places and much better than from many big retailers. A most of her cabinets made out of natural wood or plywood .That is much better than low quality particle boards covered with paper like film .At least it will stay for many years and repairable . The prices looks like very reasonable .The same time once i have seen she put on sale some broken boxes for $20 each.When i mentioned why you are put this boxes in front of everything she said she want to get rid out of it because it has been broken during transportation. I mentioned if somebody buy it for $20 each and did not fix properly you may have more complains than it worth .I guess it is what happening from time to time .Despite absolutely most of her cabinets are good because she has a very big stock it is always there are something discontinued, broken, left over and etc.If you are handy and can use it, it should be really good deal, other wise pay little bit more and get her regular stuff and you still save a lot of money.Summary . Despite it is not high end custom stuff but they are quality products .The quality meet and and exceed the quality from others legitimate suppliers, and usually higher than from most big retailers . As for prices it looks like you can not find anything better except it will be garbage like products . I may say for houses under 500 k the products may work fine, of coarse do not buy $20 per box broken boxes if you can not fix it .Thank you for reading.
