Dresses are beautiful and very reasonably priced! The associate that helped us was so great. She really listened to the bride, made great suggestions and offered a lot of insight to possible alterations that would make the bride more comfortable/happier. We went to several well known/highly rated local bridal shops that day and this was by far our best experience.

Gorgeous dresses. I got my dress there and two years later my sister in law ordered hers. They dont have a wide variety of sizes to try on though. They have a 4 and 14 on the floor, I mean considering they go up to 26- I would assume they would carry a floor model to accommodate. That is my only gripe because besides for that the dress and bridesmaids/mother of the bride selection is so on trend. Would recommend as a place the place for your list.

I got my bridal gown at BHLDN several years ago, so I was excited go with my soon to be sister-in-law to try on gowns at the salon this past weekend. I highly recommended BHLDN to her as I have many friends over the last few years. However our recent experience in the salon was mortifying!!!! I contacted management after our visit, but they did not reply to my email concerns. Im writing this here because the business doesnt seem to care about the issue and I dont want anyone else treated the way we were. Heres the issue. We came in as a group of 7 women. 6 white woman and one Chinese women with bells palsy. The Chinese woman in our group was singled-out and spoken to completely different from the rest of the group. She looked different and was treated as though she didnt belong A stylist told her youre hovering you have to go away in an extremely rude manner. No one said anything like that to the rest of us. She was so uncomfortable she left the store. Honestly, this was the most grotesque display of Ive seen in a long time. It was just so obvious to everyone in our group that she was being treated differently and so rudely. I will not be recommending BHLDN to any future brides, and I hope shoppers will take this as a caution of their corporate culture and priorities. I dont write this lightly and am not about trashing businesses online through reviews, but its unacceptable to just brush things like this under the rug.- Sara OBrien

Fiest of all Kelly was great to work with (and she deserves all 5 stars) but a lot of the sample dresses were broken so it didnt give you a great idea of the fit.

On a whim I looked online for an appointment after spending hours looking at BHLDN dresses online. I swear I read every review. haha. To my suprise there was an appointment available the very next day. I booked it quickly and easily. When my appointment time arrived the stylist had already pulled the gowns I mentioned in my booking and let me peruse for some others that might catch my eye. I wasnt sure how this would go in general, or with COVID precautions on top of that. I liked every dress I put on, LOVED the last dress I tried on and Cassandra was so kind and helpful the entire time. She took several photos for me to send to my friends/family. The whole process was fun and effortless. I cant wait to order my dress!

Well... I wouldve have given a higher review if I had received my dress before my wedding date. So disappointed. I ordered in April, was told itd arrive in March, then June, now August. It wont be here in time for my August 15 date. When I called, they offered a 10% discount, which frankly is nothing. I do not recommend them at all.Edited to add: afterwards, they offered a more significant discount. When I received the dress, it was absolutely stunning.

Meredith was an amazing stylist. She allowed me to browse and pull the dresses I really wanted. She gave me honest opinions when I asked and did a great job taming my group of about 10 family members and friends. She also was very knowledgeable about what alterations I could make to the dress to make it exactly what I wanted. I would recommend BHLDN to anyone. It was a great experience.

This was an incredible experience. First of all watching your daughter put on a wedding dress and try it on is an emotional experience especially from the one dress that made me cry. Im so happy for these individuals and a manager who helped us select this dress.. great location great service and we purchased a dress here.

I had such a great experience. Emily made what was originally uncomfortable and intimidating into an unforgettable experience. She found a dress that was within my budget that I loved! She also gave me other ideas for accessories, so I left with my full look for my wedding. Thank you so much for the fun memories!!

Small shop inside the top floor of Anthropology. I loved how all the dresses there are guaranteed to be under $1500. They have a very small selection of dresses though and they dont allow more than 2 people at a time to look at the dresses and shop around. I felt like I couldnt help my friend shop for her wedding dress and that really bummed me out. I also felt like they were rushing our group out. They offered us water but there was no one to come pick up all of the mini plastic water bottles after. It would have felt way more classy and caring if they served water in a glass. I just cant stand all that plastic waste that is effecting our environment. Being a place in Portland, Oregon youd think they would be avoiding plastic water bottle when such large groups are involved. I also picked out a dress for my friend to try on but the lady said we were out of time and had to move on. Being that it was the last dress to try on I wish she would have just pushed the appointment just a few more minutes. Anyway I think this is a great place to get bridesmaid dresses or prom dresses but I dont think Id book myself an appointment here for my wedding dress. Ania bridal is close by and better in my opinion!

They advertise free returns but when you send items back they take a $75 return fee. would not recommend unless you know you want it

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! First stop for my daughters dress and by far the best out of all we visited. Melinda was our associate and we absolutely adored her. The entire staff was excellent. Prices great. My experience at BHLDN was amazing! And I believe that to be true because of my consultant, Taylor made me feel so comfortable. She was professional, so kind, and was honest with me about every dress that I tried on. I did not feel any pressure whatsoever, and I ended up buying my wedding dress from BHLDN! I highly recommend working with Taylor if youre paying a visit to this establishment!

Well priced wedding dresses. Made an appointment for bridal try on, it was my first time trying on wedding dresses at all. They offer you rose or water, you get a private corner for you and your group. The employee was nice, patient, and helpful when trying on

Bought my wedding dress last night and Cassandra made it so fun and special! This was my 3rd time at BHLDN to find the right gown, my second at the Portland location. I had Cassandra for my first appointment as well and she remembered details about me and my wedding specifically which shows her commitment to finding the perfect dress for each customer. She’s also super patient because I FaceTimed like 5 people (bridal party + mom + MIL, all of whom live back home in Texas) back and forth to get opinions/show them dresses and she was never pushy to sell. So yeah special s/o to her

I looked everywhere for a dress for my son’s wedding and couldn’t find anything anywhere that looked nice! I must have tried on 100 dresses! My daughters made me an apt. with one of their stylists, who had a dressing room waiting for me and some dresses picked out for me to try on. They even serve wine! She must have got my sizes from my girls! I found one that was a perfect fit and looked nice and only had to try on 3 or 4 gorgeous dresses! Felt like a little girl playing dress up, and I wasn’t even the bride! They have so many beautiful dresses! They even offered my daughter a job. What a difference having a stylist made! I was discouraged looking myself and felt fat and grumpy with the dresses I was trying on. There I felt like Cinderella! Highly recommend this hip and trendy store right across the street from Powell’s books! They whole store has cute clothes! I know someone who ordered a table from here and it was awesome too! Must see this place. Their bridal shop was an experience! My oldest daughter bought her wedding dress from here and it was beautiful on her! One of the stylists even remembered them from a different fitting/wedding they were in. Ask for Cass!

Marissa helped me find the perfect dress and was so amazing to work with. She was incredibly helpful at anticipating dresses that would be a good match and she made my friends and I feel so welcome and at ease. I had so much fun at BHLDN and am thankful I got so lucky to have Marissa as my wedding expert!

While I didnt end up finding my wedding dress at BHLDN, I really enjoyed my experience and would recommend BHLDN to anyone looking for a dress. The staff was very friendly, never sales-y. They really helped me identify what I wanted in a dress so I was better informed the next time I went shopping. Thanks, BHLDN!

Had a great time trying on dresses and was able to try on pretty much all the ones I had wanted to see from the website. They provided champagne, and my friends had a great time meandering back and forth shopping for themselves and helping me decide on dresses. The only drawback was that the dresses were all much too large, to the point where after clipping them I couldnt really tell what the back of the dress was shaped like (and that wasnt because Im too skinny). Otherwise great experience!

Melinda.... ask for her, she was the best! So patient and helpful... I would definitely recommend coming in, especially if you let them know ahead of time which dresses online you are interested in checking out.

I went to several places for my dress but hands down BHLDN was the very best! The selection, the service, the prices, the atmosphere all make this place fabulous. Do yourself a favor and skip the low end chain stores and head straight for BHLDN. Oh and if you can select your stylist ask for Melinda. She was amazing. Im an older bride and was a little nervous, but she worked so hard and was so sweet and knowledgeable, a true gem and a joy to work with. Thank you Melinda!

I went there for my wedding dress and I scheduled an appointment online. I received a confirmation email and phone call. It was very easy. I also looked at dresses they had online before I went and they made sure to have the one I really wanted to try on when I came to my appointment. The day of the appointment all the staff there were great very friendly and helpful. I didnt feel pressured to buy something or rushed. I loved the very first gown I tried on but I tried on a lot of others before I bought it. My family and I both had a lot of fun and loved their service. I am very happy I went there to find my gown! Also you get cute cans of wine while you are having your appointment, I think that is such a cute idea.

I recently went to BHLDN to find a bridesmaids dresses and LOVED this shop! Jade helped me and she was incredibly knowledgeable about which dresses come in which color and was efficient and getting gowns that I asked for. She had great suggestions and made the whole experience wonderful! If anyone I know gets married I will send them here for their dresses!

Not only did the woman start out by saying everything she couldnt do for us, she made it clear that the gal trying on plus size dresses wouldnt have anything that looked good...really uncomfortable, and we had to wander around a bit to find someone despite the fact that we had an appointment. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This was my first real wedding dress boutique shopping experience. BHLDN is located on the second floor of the Anthropologie store in downtown Portland, OR. There are beautiful displays and a small area for dress viewing, so I recommend not bringing too many people- one to two would be perfect. By appointment only which was easy enough to book online. This was from a few months ago, so if I recall correctly, there is a tiny consultation as to what you are looking for, some quick measurements so the consultant knows your BHLDN size, or at least, asking what your street size is and they convert from there, and then youre free to wander about and point out dresses that catch your eye. I like the selection of separates that you can customize to your taste, as well as the full dresses in a variety of lengths and styles. Since I was going to be having a courthouse wedding, I was thinking something shorter/funner or at least something more lightweight and not too bulky. I was able to try on around 5 dresses/combinations in the hour long appointment I had, that I was very pleased with. I was sent home with a lovely card with the two favorite options listed, the Hampton skirt in size 12, I am a street size 8 normally, and the Valdis dress also in size 12- a tea length style dress with a good weight and swing-iness to the skirt that I enjoyed. I did not end up purchasing my wedding dress from BHLDN, but I had such a good experience trying on styles and getting a feel for what I wanted. Emily was my consultant and she was very sweet and helpful, and I felt comfortable with her assisting with the dressing, which was something I hadnt been expecting. If you can, bring the undergarments or shoes that you would plan on wearing- just so that gives you a better idea of how the dress will fit, and hang.

I had a wonderful visit to BHLDN. Althought I am an untraditional bride I found a great selection in a pleasant price range.

They have THE most gorgeous wedding dresses at BHLDN! I shopped at a couple other small, local boutiques in Portland, and no one had the variety of dresses nor the incredible prices that BHLDN offered. Take a look at their online collection or go check it out in store, they will not disappoint! Seriously could not recommend this place enough. When you do go, ask for Kate - shes a rockstar :)

I wanted so badly to love bhldn. My ‘stylist’ seemed very rushed. Nothing about my experience felt special. The stylist insisting that she be in the dressing room with me to assist with getting into the dresses made me feel extremely uncomfortable and self conscious, which is NOT how someone should feel while trying on wedding dresses. I would understand if the dresses were being sold off the rack but they were all sample dresses with stains and rips so I was confused as to why I need help getting dressed like a child. My sister and mom even felt rushed, the whole experience was just a huge bummer. I was honestly almost in tears by the time we left.

Great Service! I wanted a very informal consult to try on different silhouettes to figure out what I liked. I went in solo knowing that I probably wouldnt be picking up anything at this visit since I have friends/family coming into town to help with actually choosing a wedding dress.The atmosphere was very low-pressure which I very much appreciated for the experience I was looking to have. Ive been apart of other Bridal Consultations and this was by far the friendliest and most relaxed.Jill was my consultant and made sure I was comfortable the whole process - she even picked out the dresses that became my Top 2 favorites! She talked me through everything, made sure I was aware of any back orders or soon to retire dresses without being pushy, had me trying on silhouettes/designs I would have never picked for myself (but truly ended up loving) & she even took some pictures for me since I was there by myself in case I wanted to show people.A genuinely great experience - cant wait to go back!

I shopped at the BHLDN shop for my wedding dress, and was met with some of the kindest and most helpful girls! Additionally, the dress styles were so much more of what I was looking for than any other places I had shopped at. I would 100% recommend shopping here both for the service of its employees and also for the dresses and accessories that they have available!

What a great experience! I loved pouring over the website then having an opportunity to try on the beautiful gowns at the gorgeous Portland store. As a bride in my 30s Im not interesred in being a princess or a hippie flower child, nor spending a fortune on a dress. Bhldn had exactly the cool chic styles I wanted at a price I find very fair. Moreover, both my appointments were fun and super low pressure. I found a perfect gown and cannot wait to wear it this June. I would recommend BHLDN Portland as a MUST for all bridal and formal occasion shoppers. Thank you!

I was shopping here for my wedding gown. The attendant working with me was horrible at listening (i.e. I was describing my wedding and specifically said I do NOT want it to be rustic. She wrote down the word rustic, double underlined it, and proceeded to pull everything she described as boho or rustic. I could not shake her from that, no matter what I said). All the dresses on the floor were tattered, pilled, and frequently stained, which really said a lot about the cheap quality of their products... But they offered to sell me floor models anyway. The attendant also kept putting me in these hideous, ill fitting dresses, and couldnt understand why I didnt want to go show the party I brought with me... I especially cant figure out why they sell the skirt/top separates. Not a one of those looked even remotely flattering, and the fact that the attendant failed at properly sizing me was only part of the issue.I would never recommend this place to any bride-to-be.
