We took my new Rad Mini here on the advise of Rad. The owner came out adjusted the derailleur, checked the breaks, made sure all was looking right and said - “I guess it’s just like Christmas! Have a good day!” Will be definitely going back for any of our bike needs in the future!!!

Jeff at Portland Bicycle Emporium really took care of my concerns plus he went above and beyond! My bike is in working order again and she feels brand new! Highly recommend this place. If you’re going during the nice weather you’ll have to wait out a week to get your bike fixed(because you’re not the only one with the idea of getting on your bike again or getting that tune up you’ve been meaning to get, Duh)I’m getting work done on my bike here whenever I need my baby fixed.

A small neighborhood shop. I had been getting my bike serviced at another nearby bigger small biz, but their calendar was all full for the month and have to make advance appointment. Lucky to have found Geoff. I stopped by to inquire about flat tire tube. He seemed to be swamped in the late afternoon but said my bike will be ready before closing. About 90 minutes and a cocktail later, I was back on my old road bike, flying in the wind. Thanks Geoff!

Geoff is a great guy and also a top notch bicycle mechanic. He rebuilt and had nos parts for a 1941 bicycle hub. It now rides like a new bike. Very reasonably priced as well.

So glad I chose this place when trying to figure out fixing my bike up. The guy here is extremely helpful, friendly, and really knows what hes doing. Ive been to a few shops around town over the years and this was one of the rare times where the service was totally courteous and genuine, not to mention very fair in pricing. Im thrilled about my bike now (which was a literal death trap before) and without a doubt will come back here if I ever need anything else. 11/10 recommend, for real.

Great and prompt service here! I couldnt find an appointment anywhere local less than three weeks out but at the Emporium they took my bike same day drop off. It was ready the next day and less expensive than I was expecting.

Ive been going to various bike shops in Portland with my dad since I was old enough to sit on a saddle. This is hands down the best shop Ive been to. For my last repair, I took my bike in, they told me they could get it done in half an hour(!), and so I got to play pinball while I waited and talked with the owner about bikes. If you are looking for amazing value and craftsmanship coupled with a friendly, fun atmosphere, look no further!

Repair shops are kind of a conundrum. Generally you’re only there if something has gone terribly wrong. That being said, whenever I’ve taken my bike in to Geoff he has been kind and thorough. Repairs done right the first time and for a very reasonable price.

Great small bike shop with a lot of soul! Cracked a pedal off an old Peugeot bike, owner fixed it on the spot and had me up and running in 20 minutes. Solid used bikes at budget and mid range price points. Its true, owner is very knowledgeable about vintage Schwinns. Great vibe, thank you!

Geoff KNOWS bikes, especially Schwinns. He got my newly purchased vintage Schwinn Suburban riding like a dream. It turned out the fork/steering tube was bent (Its amazing he caught that as the bend is imperceptible until you hold a straightedge to it) and Geoff quickly found replacement parts in the matching spicy chestnut color for a great deal. Ill definitely be going back here for any and all bike repair needs. I also appreciate that he tries to carry American made accessories when possible.

Im so thrilled with the work and customer service. I bought a vintage bike that I was excited about but I didnt have the know how to get it back on the road. In less than a week the bike has a second life after decades in someones garage.

AWESOME PLACE. Im new to portland so wanted to find a place to for my bike needs, the owner was so nice that im not going to go anywhere else . I only popped in for a bike helmet and lock but the owner was so nice that when he saw the one of my bikes wheels had been put on crooked he fixed it for free he even checked my breaks what a legend .10/10 a place that is friendly and inviting.
