I really appreciated that the service staff was willing to work my car into a busy morning- not only did they get me in, but they got my service done quickly. Cynthia communicated with me throughout the process, and the video walk around/ check up that Aidan did for my car was great. I’ll definitely being coming back for all of my service needs.
Our 2019 CX5 had a bad battery. My wife called the dealership and was told to bring it in and they will take care of it. When I got to the dealership, I was told that it would take at least 2 hours to test the battery and replace it if it was bad. I explained to Justin that I lived 30 miles away and i didn’t really have time to sit and wait. He totally went out of his way to personally get our car on the tester, get it tested and the battery replaced in an hour. What great customer service.
Tonkin Mazda went above and beyond to help me out of a difficult situation to repair my transmission. They gave me better service than I could have imagined! I’ve spent the past month in Portland and drove my 2016 CX-5 from LA. My Mazda dealer in LA made a huge mistake during a repair on my car and the transmission burnt out. I brought my car to Tonkin and they told me I needed to get a new transmission, which normally takes over two weeks to complete. Peter was able to overnight a replacement, get the repair covered by the warranty and finish the repair by the time I had to leave town (less than a week). The team was honest, kind, and so helpful, which is rare in the car repair world. 10/10!
Very uncoordinated service team. Drove an hour one way to drop my car off for a scheduled service appointment and was told that yes theyd have a loaner car for me. When I was dropping it off the service attendant said they didnt have any available. Im beyond frustrated. I had a 2 hour round trip for nothing even when I scheduled in advance. Dont waste your time here

Leon was our sales representative and he was awesome. He was genuine, patient and not pushy at all! He let us take our time without pressuring us into a sale. Went in today and ended up buying a used car. Mike Kasper was the salesman who helped me and he really went above and beyond to ensure that I got the best deal I could. If you are looking for a Mazda I recommend you ask for him by name. Many years of experience and a passion for the product make him a great resource on the car buying field.
I made an appointment with Alex to look at a brand new Mazda CX-5 yesterday afternoon. When I arrived at the time of my appointment he was ready to go waiting for me outside. After test driving the CX-5 I realized that wasn’t the car I loved. So after test driving about 10 cars I decided that the car I wanted wasn’t at this location. Alex was patient, helpful, nice, professional, and not pushy at all. If I decide to get a Mazda in the future I will definitely talk to Alex! I highly recommend him.
Im really glad that I took my Mazda here. My concerns were taken seriously from the start and the technicians were able to figure out the source of the issues very quickly. I worked with Justin and Maggie and they kept me updated throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend coming here.
Great work but it is expensive
I didnt end up purchasing a car from here but the dealership experience was as expected, clean and organized. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.Im leaving this review because of Alex Simotas, the sales rep who was assisting me with the purchase. I noticed a vibration at 60-70mph with the vehicle I was looking to purchase and was planning to return the next business day after the shop had a chance to look at it. Come Monday Alex messaged me stating the dealership was closed due to COVID. Having time after work I went over to check out another vehicle at Ron Tonkin Alfa Romeo and Fiat, letting them know about my recent shopping history and targets. To my surprise they were unaware that Ron Tonkin Mazda was closed and offered to contact the dealership for me; proving they were in fact open and sent a message over to Arian Silver, Ron Tonkin Mazdas sales manager, about the situation. Arian contacted me the next day and we went back up to test drive the car again. Each time the service department checked the wheel balances but it was still present.In short, not a bad dealership. Im disappointed the car didnt work out and wouldnt do business with Alex again. Arian Silver and Roy Ramirez were great to work with.

Nikki was so very helpful. I had work done on my vehicle to my satisfaction. They checked other items for me. I was even able to use my 15% off coupon that Mazda mailed me. I will return here for future service.
