Great customer service!! Very helpful, very polite workers! Brenda helped me pick out my furniture and it was well below my budget! Randy helped me pack my U-Haul and let my use his iPhone charger! A few weeks ago I bought a dryer from here. Spent around $350. When I got home and set it up and used it for first time. It DID NOT dry my clothes. So I had to return it. Today I went back to buy a different dryerand spent $500. Even explained what happened the last time to the manager.( he didnt seem to care) only to have the same issue. Dryer not drying my clothes.Worst experience and customer service ever!!!!!!!

The cashier spent forever repeatedly trying to upsell me at the checkout after I told her multiple times I didnt want to upgrade the protection plan on my brand new refrigerator.When it arrived, it had 2 dents in the stainless steel refrigerator door. The delivery personnel commented they had seen those 2 dents in the same place on the same model of refrigerator frequently, indicating its probably an issue from the manufacturing process for that model. The dents were cosmetic in nature, and my previous refrigerator was already COMPLETELY disassembled in my garage. So I just made note of the dents on the receipt paperwork and took photos -- it was disappointing, but not enough of an issue for me to go through the hassle of finding a different way to keep my food cold for who knows how long. I called the store to discuss a partial refund for the refrigerator due to the damage (the fridge cost nearly $1000, and again it was brand new, not a cosmetic issue fridge from the floor). I was told a member of management would look into it and call me back. Someone called me and asked me questions, then told me again that someone else would look into it and call me back. Its been MONTHS and I never heard anything again. Wont be getting anything from here again.

Our freezer just died. With our beef ready in 3 days I was panicked to get a replacement freezer. We got a great Whirlpool model, unopened and 40% off! I was wanting an LG double convection oven. Imagine my surprise when I spotted the that very model. This was also 40% off. The manager even stayed open late to get me the LG! Such a score.

Went there on 20/09/2020 and purchased a sofa and love seat. Was told to would be in stock on 10/10/2020 and we could get same day delivery. I called the store to confirm our merchandise was in and was told they were still unloading truck and I would receive a call when it was unloaded. Called back several hours later to confirm it came in was told yes but due to the delivery guys running late may not get delivered today, only to be told a few minutes later it would. Never received a phone call confirming it was in or about delivery. So don’t believe in their so called same day delivery. Will be going to the store tomorrow when they open to get this resolved. Not happy with American Freight! Finally got call from delivery drivers at 9:40 Saturday night saying on there way. All they did was bring it in and set it down. I had to unwrap and put legs on both couch and love seat. Not very good service.

Joel helped my wife buy some appliances for one of our rentals and she came home pretty happy! We felt like we had gotten a good price, good coverage, and she really enjoyed her experience there. This was back on the 6th of January and we are still happy with the stuff we got.

This store gave us the best customer service we have ever received! We moved to the Kalamazoo area January first, into out new house. Unfortunately, our dryer broke the first week we were there. Tight on money, we decided to try Sears Outlet for another dryer. The store was clean and organized. After looking around and finding a dryer we liked, my husband approached a worker for assistance. Her name was Dorie, and she was such a blessing to us. She helped us find a better dryer, gave us an awesome deal, and helped us get assistance to have it installed! The dryer was installed the next day, thanks Mr. Ray, and it has worked great since! We are definitely going to return for future purchases and recommend this store to others! Thank You Dorie!

We saw their ads on facebook and decided to drop in a look at their refrigerators. They have a HUGE selection and we’re very friendly. We spent 45 min picking out the perfect one. It didn’t have dents in the front and looked great. We decided to go with the pick up option and save 100$ for delivery. The pick up spot is in the back and we rang the door bell as instructed. The guy opened up and said that our fridge went home with some one else because of a mishap with labeling. He told us to pull around front and we would figure out what to do from there. The employees and manager were very apologetic and offered us a different fridge. They sorted it out and were so helpful. Besides the mishap, that they made up for, it was a great experience. It’s nice to know that they take care of their costumer.

Positively the worst place you can spend your money

My friend got a fridge 2 days ago ! Absolutely won’t work, had a licensed HVAC come look at it nothing on it is from the factory all parts switched out !HVAC tech said it was not damaged during my friend moving it!There manager is refusing to acknowledge this is on them .

It’s not bad. They have a decent selection but the prices are a bit high for it being an outlet. What to look out for is the Clarence items and the home good section.

This place has some amazing pricing and the staff was great with finding exactly what I was looking for. Betty was patient with me and listened to what my needs were and hooked me up with an oven for less than half of the retail value.

We went find a fridge. They have a huge selection, mostly stainless models. We were looking for a white one and found one that was great looking and didnt have that many dents or scratches. Fast forward 2 days later when we went to pick it up. We waited at the dock for about 25 minutes then the guy came back with no fridge. They hadnt even removed it from the floor. He had to go look for it. Another 20 minutes. When we had it loaded there was WAY more dents than when we purchased it. Disappointed that just from moving it from the store floor to the dock it got that beat up. Probably wont go back here.

I’m in the Detroit area and the only location that had the items I needed was this location. And although over two hours away, I was glad I was directed to this store. More specifically Dorie. She gives the best customer service, by far. By a long shot of others. Be sure to ask for Dorie if you want comfort in your selection, help in your purchase an all-around great customer service. She makes the store worth the distance especially if your local store does not have your item or the customer service isn’t great.

I love this store and everyone who works there!Joel was extremely helpful when I arrived to Sears to shop for a king size bed.I have three preschool aged children and visiting large stores like Sears can be stressful to say the least! Luckily it was Joel who greeted us when we arrived - he was very efficent and patient with us as I browsed around. I also really appreciated the fact when I gave him the price range I was hoping for, he didnt steer me to beds twice my budget! He knew the answers to every question I could come up with. He was also very friendly and jokey with my kids which is a rarity with most sales reps who sometimes dont feel they need to acknowledge young children.When it came to the sale of the mattress I ended up choosing, he was very easy going and honest about all my payment options and made everything very clear and comprehensible for someone like me who isnt very savvy with sales lingo. I didnt feel pressured in the slightest which is how you might feel at other furniture stores!It was also nice to see the relationship dynamics at play with all the other employees. You can tell everyone working at the Portage location gets along well and theres an actual sense of teamwork (or better yet, a sense of family- something that you dont witness too often for big stores).Overall great experience shopping here, definitely will be back in the near future and Ill for sure be asking for Joel!

Today my husband and I stopped by to check out the Sears Outlet. I am in the market for a new couch. We had been to one place and it was too expensive for my blood and then another place and we did by a smaller couch that I liked. Well, I am not satisfied with the smaller couch. It looks nice, but it just isnt doing it for me. I am not going to return it because I can use it in another room. So, enter Sears Outlet. We had John Roach wait on us..a very quiet man, but very professional and friendly. He took our order and gave us all the instructions on when they would call to deliver and such. If delivery is half as good as John was, I will be very pleased. John deserves five stars for sure!!!!!

Extremely poor service, Over the past couple years we have purchased outdoor furniture, living room couch, and a bed. Each time telling ourselves great deal, service is just so awful we really shouldnt go back..but we do, however after this last purchase we will not be returning.

I’ve never had a worst customer service experience ever in my life. If I could give this place zero stars I would.It started with me wanting to go and get a treadmill. When I told him I wanted to get the treadmill the first statement the sales man said was. “I punch out in 45 minutes I’m going to go get some tacos.” I guess this treadmill has been on sale for several months. I told them that I wanted to purchase it and I would like it delivered. They said it was too heavy and it was too wide to fit in the door frames at my home. That’s when I suggested that it be dissembled so it could be brought in by pieces. After waiting for over an hour to see if the three men could dissemble the treadmill I purchased it. During the transaction the employee made several comments that he did not know how to use the computer and ask for my phone number over four times as well as having me provide it written. I asked what time they would come to deliver my treadmill and they said that they would call me the night before with a time. Well they never called me. I try to call the store and it rang for over 35 minutes.Since they were not answering their phone my husband went to the store to find out when my treadmill would be delivered. When he was there they said that the delivery would be taking place within the next 10 minutes. They didn’t call me the night before because they had the wrong phone number! They also said their phone lines were down.When the delivery arrived they said the treadmill was too heavy for them to be able to deliver inside of my home therefore I should get my money back and they will return it.So my husband and I went into the store for a third time to get my money back as it was not returned automatically. When we arrived we were not even greeted with a simple hello, just irritation from the employee because she had to do work. Well my money never went back on my card after she told me it would’ve. We have tried to call customer service as the phone lines are still down at the Sears outlet. Needless to say I still don’t have my money back and I don’t have a treadmill.I would never recommend anyone to come to this store the simple discount that was not worth the headache that I’ve had for the last few days resulting in a loss of almost $900. Something tells me this place won’t be around too much longer.

Sears is always a great place to shop. I remember my family getting the catalog every year and it being my dream book. Now it is reality. Sears has been a great place for appliances, tools, clothes, bedding, housewares, shoes, and so much more. They have real decent prices and is a great place to shop.

I went to every store in town looking for the right small-ish table for my kitchen. Everything was hideous or overpriced, or both. I did not have high hopes walking into the Sears Outlet. Doris greeted my husband and I as soon as we walked in, and was super thorough and got us exactly what we wanted, at an even better price than I intended on paying. I seriously cannot say enough good things. The worker who loaded my car was also incredibly nice. All in all, it was a quick, painless experience, and buying furniture never seems to be that way.

Sales associates are very helpful. However, you really have to compare prices to those at other stores. Sometimes the outlet can be more expensive than a sale at another store for the same model.

Scott is the BEST! We are new home owners and stopped into Sears Outlet - Portage Mi to price out new appliances. Low and behold we walked out with a sharp looking stove/oven combo under our budget with no interest for 12 months! We have more appliances to purchase and will DEFINITELY be coming here! I usually only leave negative reviews because I dont believe in Gold Stars for doing ones job, so someone has to go above and beyond for me to do this, and Scott did just that.

This store is not just a scratch and dent retailer, they also sell returned items without having them checked out. So, when I purchased a stand up freezer there I had no idea it wasnt really Sears I was buying from. I was naive enough to fill out a review for the sales person before I even got the product home. The freezer had a refrigerant leak and all the contents thawed the day after I loaded it. When I called the store they told me I couldnt return it and to call Sears service to have it fixed under warranty. After 1 1/2 months since I purchased it and 4 service tech visits, (1 no show that was rescheduled for over week later after taking the day off work to meet them) The entire cooling system needs to be replaced leaving only the (dented)freezer body itself that will not be replaced. Today, the tech was here to perform the work to replace everything only to discover the replacement compressor has a leak and has to be ordered over again. The cost for service (under warranty) is more than 4 times the cost of the freezer. And we are still not done. Long story short, make sure whatever you buy there is functional before you leave the store. It doesnt look like we will have a working freezer before Christmas and we have had it since Halloween.

After not having a refrigerator for six weeks I contacted this Sears Outlet Center to order a new fridge. Ordering from out of state was made easy with the superb customer service I received, first from Tim P. in the warehouse who gladly reviewed and inspected the unit I was purchasing. His thoroughness and kindness was only exceed by his manager Scott M. who did everything in his power to ensure a smooth, enjoyable, and efficient transaction.

Excellent customer service but Im not so sure we should of bought something from them .I bought a supposedly new dryer. Its a general electric. It does not dry good. We have done everything the manufacturer said but doesnt come close to my Maytag that was purchased in 2000. Good thing we got an extended warranty. Im wondering if this dryer was brought back for the reason Im having trouble with.

The prices are reasonable and their employees are not pushy.I would recommend to check out this store before paying full price ( if you don’t mind a few dents or scratches ).Had our refrigerator delivered within a few days and delivery crew hook it up.
