I Heard about this shop through a friend but I had NO IDEA what I was in for... For starters Kurt was super helpful when it came to figuring out a plan that fit my schedule. I wanted to get my advanced without having any certifications and do it in 1 week. Not only did I get it done 5 days he also helped me figure out the most affordable way to do it which I really appreciated. As for my instructor and my lessons Tim was a PHENOMENAL, I couldnt have asked for a better instructor! He was great at communicating and super patient when it came to skills I was having trouble with, most importantly he made me feel very safe and always checked to see how I was feeling. We also dived some awesome sites and I had a lot of fun throughout the whole experience.Though theyre a business the whole time it felt like I was diving with a friend. We came from Arkansas. When I scheduled my original dive trips, Kurt stayed on the phone with me and walked me thru the whole process. Just got back from an amazing day with Tim! He provided us with the best, most personalized, and fun excursion we have ever done! We went to Blue Heron Bridge for a “Discover” trip. Neither of us had ever went diving before but Tim was a great teacher and guide and we wound up staying underwater for almost an hour. We saw amazing sea creatures and even got to hold a crab. After having visited several dive shops from Key West to Vero Beach, I‘ve experienced first hand why Scuba Dive it has the reputation for being the best dive shop in South Florida. I came a cross the shop when my gear needed servicing and looking for a shop close to me with great reviews. I called, explained the issues and was instructed to come by for them to have a look. I was not only impressed that they have the tools on site to get the job done, on the spot, but that Kurt made sure I knew the best practices for taking care of my gear and explained how it was being serviced. Kurt took his time to fix the issue and even switched out my mouth piece which he noticed had some tears. Kurt was patient, detailed and thorough. I am happy to have found Scuba Dive it and look forward to diving with them this summer.

My sister and I came down for a short weekend to do some diving in SE Florida. I went diving quite recently while my sister has not gone in 5 years. We were scheduled to go with a company by our hotel in Fort Lauderdale but unfortunately they made a scheduling error. My sister would not be able to dive since they had no instructor for her. We scrambled to find a scuba shop in the area that could assist last minute and SCUBA Dive It came through. From Kurt in the shop to Tim as the instructor the whole process was smooth and flawless. We both really enjoyed the dives and Tim was extremely patient and helpful for my sister. You can really tell he enjoys his job. Furthermore he even took pictures of our dive and personally sent them to us! Definitely worth it. That was my first time for dive in.My first appointment was cancelled because of the windy wheather with low visibility in the water, the Big Boss👍 suggested me to transfer this event for few days later. A great experience all the way around! We came in from out of state and didn’t have a single piece of gear. Tim met us at the shop and made sure we had everything thing we needed for an enjoyable dive. My whole family is certified except for my sister . Tim was so patient with her and got it done !! I even sat in with her and learned so much from him . Would highly recommend. Tim knew where to find the best stuff, and I’d say the animals loved him . We saw so much, including sharks and a turtle .

I love the ocean and always wanted to get certified in Scuba Diving and I could not have picked a better place to get certified! I spent two days of the physical part of the certification with my instructor in a controlled lake environment. My instructor was patient and thanks to his conservative approach, I got certified and went on two real dives following my open water certification 60 ft deep for over 30 minutes! I was confident and relaxed which made the certification process worth it! I will come back for my advanced certification.

I earned my open water certificate through Tim, the instructor. He’s a very patient man and let’s you learn the course at your own pace. He went above and beyond to do what needed to be done. Incredible place with incredible guys running the show. Took my open water certification here and couldn’t be happier with my choice. I had a bit of difficulty activating my Groupon and Kurt walked me through every step of the process and was beyond nice and courteous the whole time. Tim was better than any teacher I could’ve hoped for. He was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares for his students. Beyond that, he wants his students to enjoy diving just as much as he does, which makes the whole experience truly pleasurable. Great experience! Tim was very warm and friendly. Took us on the first day of January to dive. Gave us a very nice tour, showing us the marine habitat. We forgot to bring our gopro, he brought his, took several photos under water and emailed them to us same day without any additional charge!Highly recommend Scuba Dive It!

I was so incredibly nervous to get my Open Water certificate. I researched and looked at several places to go; after talking to Kurt I felt so comfortable and decided to come to Scuba Dive It and I am so happy I did. Tim was AWESOME. I needed to get certified before my vacation in Kona, HI. Scuba Dive It is the best! Tim and Kurt are really professional with top of the line equipment. Kurt was very helpful answering all my questions and concerns before getting certified. Tim is an amazing instructor! I did SDI open water cert with nitrox then went ahead and did the Advanced Adventurer course the next weekend. Their shop offers many different options in gear for all levels of experience. I could not have asked for someone more qualified or fun to learn from. I am certainly going back to get my advanced dive certification soon. As an added bonus he wont push anything on you to buy unless he thinks you need it (We were diving in colder weather so he suggested a wetsuit and I am so grateful I took his advice or I would have been frozen solid by the end. ) AND he has the best prices on gear. I took the open water dive course and absolutely fell in love with the store as well as how the Instructors treated and cared for the people in the class. My instructor was Tim and he was not only extremely knowledgeable about diving over his 40 plus years as a scuba instructor but he also cared about his students during the class and outside of the class. Absolutely phenomenal experience with this dive store/school.

DONT GO HERE. We were told we would go into a pool FIRST for an hour and then go to the sea. Didnt happen. Went straight to the sea and my mask kept filling up with water. Not a little bit half full. Instructor was impatient and I had to get out and couldnt go with my family because of mask issue. He didnt fix the problem nor did he have a spare. Got charged $150 to just get my feet wet.

Did open water certification. Highly recommend it. Kurt was a great instructor. Had excellent situational awareness during the dives and seemed to have enormous background knowledge for safely diving under all kinds of circumstances. Always made sure students were safe and felt safe. Great communication skills. I will probably return for more training in the future.

I ran into this scuba school while looking for different alternatives and the price looked better than most (if not all) of the other options I came across. Kurt was kind enough to reschedule for me several times due to an inconvenient that I had with my car that limited my mobility. My experience with this course was great. You are expected to read the books before the class and know what they are talking about, but he’s a great instructor who is patient enough to go through every section and make sure everyone understands before moving on. He’s knowledgeable and very serious about his job, all while being a very pleasant person to be around. Overall it was a great experience. I could tell you more but I invite you to go experience it for yourself. It is a whole other world that you do not want to miss on.

I took a refresher course and my son took his open water with Kurt. Great choice, Kurt is funny and is a great instructor. He really knows how to relay the material in a way thats easy to understand and genuinely cares about your experience. The two boat dives were amazing we had an absolute blast. Definitely one of the best father and son activities ever. SCUBA Dive It rocks.

After two years of not diving and in a new location, I was looking for a good place to get refreshed on my diving skills. I phoned many different diving companies and SCUBA Dive it was the one that popped out to me the most. Not only were the staff members able to answer every question I had, but were extremely friendly. In fact, the the workers (Kurt and Tim) treat their customers as if they are a family. Unlike other diving companies I have been to, SCUBA Dive It do NOT push their customers into buy things they dont need. I highly recommend anyone who is getting back into diving or is willing to further their education here, as the instructors are very attentive, friendly, and want to make sure you know what you are doing.

My learning experience with Kurt was excellent. I am 60 years old and always wanted to learn to scuba dive. Kurt was patient and respectful. He made the experience fun but always stressed SAFTEY first. I had some difficulty descending but Kurts expertise helped me accomplish my goal. I received my PADI open water certification last weekend from Kurt, AKA Aqua Man. The guy is a great teacher - he takes the time to make sure everyone truly understands what we are doing and why we are doing it, and makes it extremely easy to feel comfortable during the whole process. I was truly impressed with his patience and dedication to the entire group - we had a teenager that was struggling pretty hard the whole time, but Kurt slowed down the class and took the time to make sure that the kid felt comfortable and didnt feel embarrassed or rushed. You could tell he truly cares about the well being of his students. It was easy to see that Kurt was far beyond the skill set and training capabilities of most of the other diving instructors that we came across. If you have any interest in diving whatsoever, this is the guy that you want to go with.

I was quietly bit nervous thinking, will i really be able to learn this. Will i br able to learn to do this for job I am learning this for. Can I really learn this new trait. However Kurt, made the course so easy, so smooth, so exciting. Im truly honored to have such a great instructor. Tremendous and positive experience with this shop, rental equipment and in particular Kurt Schafer, my dive instructor. This guy was awesome. Excellent instructor, tons of experience, and made certain everyone in our group of 8 understood all training material and concepts for the PADI open-water dive certification. Once in the water I felt completely at ease with his guidance. He managed to keep his eye on all of us making certain we were safe and had fun. This guy is an great teacher, personable and real good sense of humor providing a great balance of instruction and fun.

This scuba diving school is amazing!Me and my wife flew to Miami from NY to get our open water certifications. We looked at couple of different schools and some of them were cheaper than this one but we still decided to go with Scuba Diveit because of the reviews and we made the right choice!Instructor (Kurt) is amazing! He will make sure you are safe and know what you are doing before moving on to the next step. He doesnt push you but he will not pamper you either, which is great because as a group you will not be waiting on one person whi can not complete a simple task just because you are not serious about this course.Group is small enough and the equipment is up to date.Kurt will give you small tips on a lot of stuff that will benefit you down the road.Overall this school is great and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for anything to do with scuba diving!We will be definitively coming back here to get our advanced certificates!

Totally exceeded expectations.... Perfect dive shop for kids.I was looking for a trustworthy place for my 10-year-old son Jaden to get his Jr. Open Water Certification. We visited every shop in the area. Scuba-Dive-It was the only shop that didnt make you feel like just another paying customer. I was certified in 1986, and know how most of the shops operate, so I was very surprised to find instructors like Kurt and Cameron that gave such incredible individualized attention to the students and were extremely patient and accommodating. The rental gear was all in excellent condition, and they have a wide selection of gear for sale at great prices.One of the best parts for us was that Kurt took photos and high-quality videos off all the dives so we will always have a record of Jadens first experiences in the open water doing an activity that he will continue to do and enjoy for the rest of his life.Since Jadens certification, we have also utilized Scuba-Dive-Its guided dive services for some awesome diving in Key Largo. Kurts patience and concern for the safety and fun of his divers, and his intimate knowledge of every inch of the reefs and all the secret sites really makes diving more fun and stress free.We are 110% satisfied with our experience with Scuba-Dive-It. They went well above and beyond the normal dive shop and we look forward to many more dives with them and helping to save the reefs with their Coral Reef Rangers program.

This weekend I had the opportunity to certify myself as a diver in open waters through PADI and with the help of Kurt Schaffer in his local located in Deerfield Beach, it took only one weekend from Friday to Sunday and we reached to have a dive In total, I thought I was going to have problems with so much information in such a short time but Kurt was excellent in all aspects, I explain step by step all the information to learn, he took his time explaining questions I had and always I felt very safe to be with him and my family in the water. Yesterday I completed the Open Water Diving SCUBA PADI certification course. It was a wonderful experience with my whole family. Our instructor Kurt is a professional with more than 15,000 dives. He speaks Spanish and offers to do the class in Spanish as well. Explain everything step by step, patient and motivating.
