I had been a loyal customer of VIP Auto mostly for oil changes and other minor repairs. The last time I took it in for an oil change I was charged a lot more than before. I asked Drew about that and he said it was because he used a synthetic blended oil. I took him at his word because I had not had any problems three before and Drew act like he is your buddy. When I needed a complete brake job I let them do it shortly before I moved to another state. Five months later I began hearing a grinding sound from the right rear wheel. I called VIP and spoke with the manager, Drew, to tell him the brakes were already failing. He said it was probably a bad bearing and not the breaks but it was also serious and I still would need to get it repaired soon. I took it to a local repair shop and learned that it was in fact the brakes that were failing. The right rear brake had locked in the brake position because it had not been greased when repaired. The left rear brake had very little grease and would have frozen soon. The front brake shoes were installed incorrectly as well. The total repair cost was over $500.00. I called Drew and he said they would credit my card for that amount. I never received the credit and he gave me a new excuse each month. Finally, he said he would mail a check. That never happened. I called the owner and left a message for him to call me back but he didnt. No surprise there. They claim to have an industry leading warranty for defects in materials or workmanship. Dont believe everything you read there. Drew always acted like he was a friend but in the end hes just another TOOL around the shop. It looks like there are other bad reviews for similar problems.

I am actually sad to write this because I thought I had found a respectable auto repair location. I have actually gone here several times with very positive results. This last time was a kick in the groin. I was lied to about the availability of a part and the price. I dont even trust that they replaced the part they claimed or if the problem is now fixed. I used to deal with a gentleman named Drew but he seems to be gone and so does the quality and decent service. I will think twice before bringing my cars in there again. Like I said it is very sad to have to write this.....I did actually respond to the TEXT you sent me and there was no response back. I never said anything about my AC, it was working fine. Dont insult me either, I know where the fan is located and the module which is what you said needed replacing. I also needed to have my engine bay cleaned because it stunk like burning antifreeze so badly for so long. You explained it fine, the problem was in the lack of honesty and integrity.

VIP Auto is first class in my book. I had a coolant line leak and when I called, Drew was able to get me right in. Not really sure where to start. It is very hard to find honesty in this industry but stop looking and just bring your vehicle in here. Ive been using Plymouth VIP Auto for nearly a year because I was new to the area and didnt know better. Here are all the reasons why Ill never go back:Reason One: My car had battery issues and needed to be jumped constantly 10 months ago. I brought it in to VIP and they said that the battery was old and needed to be replaced but that nothing else was out of the ordinary. They replaced it and fast forward to the present annnnd the same issues are happening again. I call and ask if I can bring my car in, they say yes, I get a jump and bring the car in. I tell them my concerns that there has to be more than just a dead battery this time, its obvious. They call me an hour later saying there is definitly something drawing on the battery. But to look into it any further it will take 2 hours and cost $400 ... just to find the problem? That $400 wouldnt go toward the repair or parts. So my husband calls 3-4 other auto shops in the area and they all quote him $200-230 for the same work and say it sounds like we are being taken for a ride. He calls back VIP auto and asks if they can price match or at least meet in the middle because their cost is WAY above everyone else in the area. They say if you bring us in a paper quote, we can talk... so you want me to pick up my dying car, haul it to a different auto shop, get them to give me a quote... and then bring it back? Are you insane? Why not just call literally any of the shops we called and confirm that they are ripping us off? Anyways, I go in to pick up my car, with no new news and am slapped with a $54 bill for the same amount of knowledge and condition that my car was in before.Reason Two: This happened a few months ago. My husband needed an oil change and I suggested Plymouth VIP. He goes in and got charged more than triple the amount he has paid for an oil change EVER. Seems like over charging is the way they stay in business.Dont go here, go to literally any other auto repair place in the area.

Ive been going to VIP Auto for a few years now, and I can honestly say Ive never not been impressed. The staff are friendly and the technicians really know their stuff. Drew, the manager, has been amazing as well. He truly does put the customer first. I had a strange issue that was very hard to track down. I had brought it in multiple times, each time getting a loaner at no cost. After a little while and lots of research, we were finally able to figure it out and get it fixed. I was not charged any extra for all of the other times they spent on it. I have a few stories like this with VIP Auto, so as long as Im still in the Twin Cities I will only bring my car to them.

I had a screeching noise when apply brakes I browsed all showrooms which I have never been too most of them asked to dropoff the car or wait for a week for an appointment.I called VIP auto reading the good reviews they had, and it was all true. the person replaced my brake pad and rotors n 2 hrs and handled the car. The customer experience is really good and nicer, this local business definitely needs a more bigger chance and support from the community as they truly deserve it. I dont generally post reviews until I really experience some good vibes.

The people who work here are incredibly friendly. I dont know anything about cars but they didnt try to make me pay for any extras, and even gave me a huge discount on my oil change! Their waiting room is very comfortable and it didnt take them as long as I thought it would to service my car. They put my front license plate on for free, even though my car didnt have one before since I just moved here from out of state. I highly recommend them and Ill definitely be going back!

As a new mom with a 1 month old, any time you have out of the house is fleeting and a little nerve racking. I needed to wash my car desperately but only had about 10 minutes before I needed to be at an appointment. They got me in and out of the car wash quickly but had the most amazing customer service. They had someone pleasantly explain the options and hand wash the back of my car to make sure to get all the dirt off. Great service! I had my oil changed at dealership a few weeks ago and noticed all the oil leaked out of my vehicle this morning. Brought it to VIP Auto since they are by my house and they checked it out and realized it was a loose oil filter so they fixed it, put new oil in and sent me on my way free of charge. Highly recommend using them if you are sick of dealerships!

This is my second review of VIP Auto in Plymouth and I have nothing but wonderfully positive things to say!. I brought my car in to Drew today as I needed new brakes and an oil change. Additionally, my daughter dropped one of her airpods in the backseat and we could not get at it. Drew never hesitated in offering to have one of the technicians try and retrieve it, which they did! Drews friendly attitude and genuine customer concern is unmatched in the industry. While I waited for my new brakes to be put in by Todd, (who did a fabulous and quick job of installing them), I listened to Drew on the phone with customers and also talking with them in person as they walked in the shop. He treated every single customer with respect, kindness and shared his trustworthy knowledge of cars with them. Phenomenal customer service. Manager Drew is awesome. Went to get car washed. Some stains werent removed, so he let car go through the car wash 2 more times. Stain was less visible, but still there. Drew was worried that sending car thru another time would damage the paint, so suggested coming back next week. I showed up the following week. Drew was true to his word and tried once more to remove the stain through the car wash. You just dont see this kind of exceptional customer service very often.

Everyone is very honest and friendly. They are straight forward and dont beat around the bush. It was also nice that they gave me helpful advise on my car. I called on a Friday afternoon to see if I could get my car in, they got it in right away the next day and it was finished by the afternoon.

I highly recommend VIP Auto. They develop long-term repeat customers by treating people fairly, providing a friendly atmosphere and finding ways of keeping costs low. I got a quote on a brake repair from a chain store shop near my home knowing I would bring it to VIP if it was going to be expensive. Their quote was $1295 and that was best case -- if no additional issues were found during the repair. I brought the car to VIP and they fixed it for $460. I have the quote, VIPs receipt and my car to prove this is true.

This shop is amazing. Drew the service manager got the car in and had repairs done that day which no other shop could even offer. They went over all the options and were honest and did not try to up sell. I highly recommend taking your car for service.

My A/C unit stopped working on my car and replacing the whole unit would’ve cost me nearly half a grand because of the cars ridiculous front dash design.. but Drew hooked me up with a nice toggle switch which activates the A/C without replacing the unit! This saved me hundreds — will definitely come back again!!

Highly recommend. Very personable with great customer service. Offered to provide a loaner vehicle if necessary but they were able to get me back up and running within a half hour. Great place to go!

Drew and his staff had great customer service. Somebody dropped me off and picked me up from work and my car was done by the time I was done with work. He knew I was getting a new car soon and didnt want to put a lot of money into the car so he gave me $50 dollars off a $250 bill but was honest and had the car running great again. Gave me a lot of great advice about certain cars in my search for a new car as well.

Plymouth VIP has a customer for life. I always recommend them to my friends and family because of their integrity and outstanding customer service. I have taken my vehicle in several times with specific concerns and they have always been honest about what repairs need to be done and what repairs can wait. How many places out there still value being honest rather than making a buck? From their staff to their pricing, they are truly first rate!

Good place to buy non-oxyngenated fuel and propane. Terrible experience with their service in the past and will never let them touch any of my cars again. Not sure how they stay in business.

I originally came to VIP after multiple terrible experiences with the dealership. Drew took great care of me and the techs do great work. Every service I have had is done in a timely manner. They are very thorough. I even got driven back to work which was super convenient.Whenever I need something they get me in immediately. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

I cant recommend this team enough to anyone who is looking for a local shop that listens to the customer. I recently had a problem with a locked up brake. Other shops that I went to diagnosed it incorrectly and even suggested that I have $1500 worth of work done - that already had just been done. Long story short, after a consultation with them, they diagnosed a simple fix for a switch that wasnt functioning correctly. The brakes are now operating perfectly and I was out the door with only $100 repair charge and a nice car wash as part of the service. See these guys if you need help. They listen and they know what they are doing. They also offer a courtesy shuttle/ride which was super helpful. Again, I cant recommend these guys more highly than five stars. You will too.

Best customer service I have had with any mechanic. Prices are very reasonable and they get me in and out even when they are busy. Also Drew is the best!!

Drew is an awesome guy! He saved so much money of mine in fixing my car heater. Have just moved from NJ found a great mechanic shop right away.

Brought a 66 Mustang in for a front end issue. Drew and the guys in the shop did a great job getting it wrapped up in just one day! They had it diagnosed, called me to explain what was wrong, and fixed it quickly and reasonably priced. Id highly recommend VIP to anyone looking to have great work done in a timely matter!

Great shop! Drew and the rest of the team are friendly and helpful. I’ve taken one of our cars there for the past year and am consistently impressed by the work and by their level of attention.

Everyone is really nice.There is a play area for kids (netflix, wii mariokart, toys, books) with a window to watch the car wash. Free coffee and soda for service customers. They tell you whats wrong with your car and give you a quote and a loaner car if its going to be long. They show you pictures of what was wrong. They warranty their work.
