Had my car here twice for repair, both times my car was finished ahead of their original expected time. Theyre concise and accurate. Their towing partner is fair priced and quick as well. These guys have been a remarkable time saver for a fellow mechanic who doesnt have a lot of free time.

Normally don’t write reviews, but this place helped save our trip. We were traveling through Minneapolis and got a check engine light and engine misfires late on a Friday night. Dropped it off after hours and they were able to diagnose the problem (spark plugs) and get them swapped and an oil change by end of day Saturday. Communication from the staff was excellent and professional. We are very appreciative of the team for helping us get back on the road. Would absolutely recommend to others.

Our 2017 Honda Odyssey transmission was making jerky transitions between 2nd & 3rd and the check transmission light would come on intermittently . We scheduled an appointment for service a couple of times, but each time the check transmission light would be off again by appointment time. The guys at the shop finally told us to just drive straight there the next time the warning light came on and they would test drive it right away. So grateful they did, as they were able to assess the problem and identify a fix on the same day! Not only that, they came up with the most cost effective solution (per usual) and saved us a ton of money. These guys are legit, trustworthy, transparent, and truly caring. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Reliable and trustworthy professionals. John has helped us through big and small repairs. We tried to be savvy and compare prices... you can go all that work and maybe find cheaper for a small percent of them but in those cases it won’t come with all the expert advice and with John and the team, you’ll not have to sacrifice quality work. My husband used to do 85% fixes himself, to include replacing brakes, and some mid-level work. Now he doesn’t even bother. Go with Plymouth Auto Care.

Great service on that oil change for the M3 there & the car runs like a top now. Mike is the service rep I dealt with there, as well as Paul. Also a reasonable cost for diagnostics of a front lower control arm issue of $40, which I cannot afford to fix right now but will need to save up some money to deal with that at a different time. A pastor, Randy Herrala, truly is a marvel to hear in person. Insightful sermons that really touch my heart. Sheesh! The staff at Plymouth Tire & Auto are very knowledgeable and punctual. One of the best things about them is their honesty! I have seen other shops over the years recommend repairs that werent needed, that is not the case here! Paul and Mike have been great to work with and I would recommend this shop to be your go to for any general repair and tire/ brake needs.Finding an honest staff that will take the time to explain costs and benefits of a repair or service is rare, dont pass up the opportunity to work with them.Thanks Paul, for always taking the time!

In early June 2021 after owning my 2018 Yukon since Sept 2019, the ac stopped cooling. I was under 36K miles but 4 weeks out of warranty per the delivery date. I called the Wayzata Gm dealer 3 times, and each time they told me they were not going to help me despite my low mileage and barely out of warranty status. Frustrated, I began looking for another shop to fix this issue. My journey took me to several shops where they each told me my truck needed a special coolant/piece of equipment that was hard to find. My husband found one such shop in Plymouth Tire and Auto! When I arrived I spoke to Mike and eventually Paul Kottas - Paul explained to me that this could likely be an issue he had seen with a previous customer and that she found help at another dealership where it was eventually covered under warranty (he agreed it should be covered). Long story short, after Paul ran an inexpensive diagnostic procedure he was able to identify the exact issue that I was then able to take with me to Luther GMC in Brooklyn Park. Armed with this information as well as so much knowledge from Paul, I was able to work with Brookdale GMC to get GMC Corporate to cover the $2500 cost of replacing the ac coolant lines! All in all, if you are looking for a shop that you can trust, I cannot recommend Plymouth Tire and Auto more! They could have very easily added coolant and dye (a way to identify a leak), charged me several hundred more dollars and sent me on my way. But instead, Paul took the time to not only educate me, but arm me with the needed information to fix my truck during a massive heatwave. Thanks Paul - you have lifelong customers in my husband and I!

Amazing staff and a great Manager. Manager took extra effort in explaining each and every detail of the work thats been done on my truck. I got my lift kit and new wheels installed here additionally, got my wheels aligned.

This place was so awesome. Got me in very last minute for a tire install and oil change, and the whole process took no longer than an hour and a half. Price was very reasonable, they were very professional and not pushy (something I always fear as a woman at auto shops). Would highly recommend.

Jon Y. always does a great job getting us in (cars never breakdown at convenient times) Communicated what the code meant. Estimated costs and had the repair done in a little over the time estimated. He even took an extra minute to point out a concern that with regular maintenance we coild do on our own, would avoid another service visit in the near future.

Update: Paul reached out to me directly and apologized for the miss, along with the initial response I received when I contacted them. I was assured it was an accident and he ran diagnostics on my car to make sure that was the only issue, along with a make-good for the initial mistake. I appreciate the follow-up and may consider using their services in the future.Took my car in for a simple oil change, with air filter change as well. Seemed nice enough. Afterwards my car is running hard and the Auto LSD and Check Engine light comes on. I opened the hood and the hose from the engine air filter to the engine is totally disconnected!

I have been to Plymouth Tire and Auto many times over the last year and each time I am impressed with the speed of service and the kindness of the staff. I never feel as though they are trying to sell me more than I need and they thoroughly explain everything they do. They work very hard to get any repairs done quickly and get your car back to you as soon as possible. I am very happy I found them!

Went in for slow tire leak during their busy season, and had corroded valve stem and tire pressure monitors replaced. They brought out the damaged parts for me to see, and fully explained the work that needed to be done and why, even though they were obviously swamped. Was in and out in an hour and a half. Great service!

Purchased tires here and just came in for a rotation (free with purchase for the life of the tires I believe) and there was a complication and one of the lug nut studs was stripped. It was taken care of no hassle or extra cost to me and if that isnt 5 star worthy I dont know what is.They have always been polite, informative, and timely.

I can not recommend Plymouth Tire and Auto strongly enough. They do excellent work and are truly dedicated to top notch customer service. One of the things that impresses me the most is their honesty - unfortunately this isnt a common trait anymore - but at Plymouth Tire it is. On multiple occasions weve had one of our two vehicles there for an issue that I thought could be big and Paul (I think the manager) actually recommended the least expensive route. These guys are fantastic.

I cannot recommend this shop enough. I’ve been coming here for almost 5 years and these guys really know their stuff. They always give their recommendations and are always honest about the work that needs to be done, never making something out of nothing or upwelling any services. They do a great job explaining issues to regular folks. They’ve also more than once done a few small items for no charge while my car was in. Really trustworthy shop. I’ve moved a few times since I came to the Twin Cities but I still always bring my car out to Plymouth to know I’m getting good service!

Experienced a blown tire exiting 494 north at Hwy. 55 west and the first place to pull over safely was a bank. When I got out of the car and looked up to see that wonderful Goodyear building next door. The guys were great to lend us a wrench in place of my missing tire iron. (I know how precious tools are to mechanics so Im very thankful to whoever entrusted me with his Snap-on!) They sent out for the tire I needed and got it all done in amazingly short order. Very thankful for your services guys! Ill be back.

I always come here for the oil changes. They have the best prices around. You are allowed to bring your own oil and filter as they do not stock the brands I use. The professionalism, and great service keeps me going back. I highly recommend to anyone to bring their vehicle here to service!

Literally rolled in with a dead engine downhill from Hwy 55 into their parking lot on a Friday evening. To my surprise and delight, the mechanics came out and helped push my car into the garage and they were able to fix it as they closed and we’re happy to do so. I just started working down the road from here and needed somewhere to get new brakes while avoiding taking days off of work. I dropped off my car with them this morning and they not only replaced my brakes in a timely and cost-effective manner, but found a nail in my rear passenger side tire and patched that for me as well. DO NOT COME to this place. We used to change oils and do regular maintenance there for more than 10 years and were happy for the services. BUT, several years ago looked like the ownership/management was changed and new faces there. They charge you more every time. Have not been there for 3 or 4 years. Thought to try it again and see if any changes, but still the same. Called before sent car in and told exactly what need to do and cars year and model, and asked for the cost. After the work was done they charged more, just added on this and that reasons. They just want to charge you more. Thats it. Talked to some neighbors, all have similar stories. Never come to this place again.

After hearing that the dealer was weeks out for an oil change on my new truck Paul was able to get me in for a synthetic oil change same day. I have since brought in both my trucks for miscellaneous repairs and received straightforward, no-nonsense service with fair pricing.

Honest business & good service.I have been to auto services where you go for an oil change and they try to fleece you into buying more expensive services.Been to Plymouth Tire & Auto mainly for repairs - they are always been very reasonable, never tell a lie to fleece you into buying something else. And the work is always top notch.I was typically doing oil changes myself or going to mobil 1 - now that they have dropped prices for Full Synthetic oil - $59 - this will be my place for oil change next time.

I came here after getting some bad quotes for new break pads, and the guys walked me through the pricing and even took me back to my car while it was being worked on to show me what they were doing and why it needed to be done! They are fair and friendly. Would DEFINITELY recommend!
