I had a great experience with Cape Auto Service Center & Tires. I just moved to Plymouth and chose them for my car inspection because of the many good reviews. It was easy to schedule an appointment. Cheryl was especially helpful during the entire process. (Much appreciated as I find this a weirdly intimidating errand.) My car initially failed inspection because my license plate was too faded, which I didnt realize was a reason a car could fail inspection. Even though this was not Cheryls problem at all she was very patient with my questions. I was able to go online on my phone and order a replacement license plate and email the confirmation to Cheryl. Then I was still able to get my car inspection finished and get a passing sticker even though the place was busy. She really went above and beyond to be patient and helpful and I really appreciate it! Glad I have this great place right down the street from my new home.

As a woman, it is sometimes difficult to find a shop that is truthful and treats you with kindness and respect. Cape Auto has always been honest with me about the work I need, and they are kind and respectful. They do great work and they stand by it. Highly recommend.

The part was no longer available for my older car which had me concerned since I have my late mom’s car and I’m not ready to part with it. The mechanic was able to save the damaged fuel line that needed to be replaced by soaking it overnight in a solution. This allowed him to be able to repair it. I am beyond grateful! I am always pleased with the skilled mechanics and the wonderful service. Herb and Mark are always courteous, friendly and patient with explaining the details for the necessary repairs. I took my car for an inspection, and they recommended I get my brakes replaced. Their quote was $1,400 for for 4 pads and rotors on a 2017 subaru. This is ridiculous. The parts cost $300. What could they possibly be doing that warrants $1,100 worth of labor for a routine brake job?!? They are either incredibly slow-working mechanics, or they were trying to hose me on the price.Others have said Cape Auto is fair on their prices. My experience differs. Theyve also tried to charge my SO $50 just to read an OBD light. Do they not know autozone will provide that service for free?

It all started with an axle break three years ago on the day we moved to Plymouth. They came through for us then and they have come though each and every time since then. This latest service occurred when we were returning from a trip on a Sunday night, heard a grinding sound and by Monday at 2 oclock the car was driven home, repaired and with a new headlight. What a turnaround.

Had an oil change and asked them to check my AC, hoping it was only a recharge. It was, and the cost was very reasonable. Excellent socially-distanced customer area, good people to deal with.

Can’t say enough good things about this local business - they are honest, provide service above and beyond what you would expect and, most important, know what they are doing and have the equipment and expertise to get the job done quickly and correctly!

I just moved into area after my car had sat undriven for a month. There was a definite noise when braking. Herb and his team diagnosed that the brakes needed replacement, but since it was late in the day, the car would need to stay overnight. Herb provided me with a loaner so I could keep an appointment the next day. Brakes now sound perfect, and I was able to keep my appointment. Wonderful service.

Only came with my son for a sticker but staff was friendly and attentive. He had a 1pm appointment due to Covid19 and we were not made to wait. They had multiple social distancing seating areas and again the staff was great and explained everything. I would not hesitate to use them for other car services.

I first went to Cape Auto last week to get a sticker for my new car, and this week went back for an oil and filter change and sticker for my wifes car. In both instances I was impressed by the professionalism shone by everyone I encountered. I was met immediately upon exiting my car, and discussed what I needed done. They have set things up to be as contactless as possible during this time of pandemic. The work was completed quickly and I had my car back quite soon on both occasions. I suggest you make an appointment, as they are popular in town and rather busy. Based on these experiences, I definitely recommend Cape Auto.

I got my 2017 annual sticker at a place where I was made to feel that he was doing me a favor. When I left on my way home I went by Cape Auto and noticed they do inspections and decided this is where I come next year. My only experience had been some body work in the sixties, which I was pleased with. I then got my 2018 inspection and was pleased with the atmosphere. I then made an appointment online for my 2019 inspection and also to rotate tires. I was taken on time and was told it would be an hour which it was. It was then while sitting in the nice, clean waiting area that I was able to hear the interaction between the staff and other customers. Unfortunately, Cape Auto has lost a customer today.I went in for a quick inspection sticker and they told me “rejected” because of the tiny lights above my license plate. I asked them, the first time I went, if they could install them and pass me. Their 16-year old-looking technician was “busy.” Go and get the lights at an auto parts store, bring them back, and they will install them and pass you.Um, ok.After doing exactly that and returning before 7am, as instructed, they then told me a few things:1) they don’t generally install aftermarket parts (though I was instructed to get them)2) it wasn’t an “easy repair” and I would have to leave it with them for hours to get it done, and it would cost me another $50. Could have had this information during round 1?3) I could go on YouTube and figure out how to do it myself and then bring it back for a THIRD time to pass inspection. DIY? Seriously?You know what I heard? “we can’t or just won’t help you. You aren’t valuable to us as a customer.”I guess with 1000s of businesses closing bc of COVID, and question 1 looming on the horizon, they feel confident enough to treat people this way and still survive. It’s ok. Mechanics have a solid reputation of caring anyways, right?Avoid this place.Find a trusted mechanic who thinks your ability to drive matters, and get your simple repairs done fast.Worthless way to start my day, guys. Good luck treating customers like that.

Before I took my car to Cape Auto, I read the reviews. All the reviews were positive so I felt confident in taking my car there. The reviews were right on! Cape Auto is an honest auto service shop. My most recent service experience was due to my car indicating that I needed Tire Maintenance and I also had a back tail light out. Well Cape Auto checked my tires out and they said I didnt need maintenance. I forgot that I had gotten my tires balanced three months ago and that shop forgot to update my indicator. Cape Auto updated the indicator and even gave me a visual print out of my tire pressure and tread. My brake light was also replaced. The total cost of the service was $11. Accurate Diagnosis & Timely Repair:The Cape Auto Team recently accurately diagnosed and repaired a problem with my high mileage 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe turbo-charging system.They listened to my description of the symptoms, researched the suspected problem, identified the source of the problem and corrected it in a timely cost-effective manner. I was quickly back on the road again.

Quick professional and super nice. Waiting room is a but small but the people in the office held great conversation were funny and as strange as this seems, considering its a garage waiting room, they gave it a comfortable at home feel. I only had a light and wiper replacement so I cant really speak to pricing. I went there simply because I had a light out and they were 2 miles away and could take me . I have sent 3 people there and every one has loved the place. You just get the feeling they are trustworthy and know what they are doing I cant explain why just check the place out for your self.

I had to have my car towed in. Mark was able to diagnose and give me a very accurate price to repair. Along with a loaner car to get to and from work at no additional cost. Service, and friendly staff made this unexpected break down very easy to manage. Within 24 hours I was able to pick up my car and be on my way.

As far as I can tell, they are pretty trustworthy, very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. They have been doing business in the area FOREVER, which is another good sign.Also, theyve got a very highly regarded collision shop on Sandwich St, which Ive had great experiences with after a couple of incidents with my vehicle. They are fair and easy to work with.I recommend these, especially if youve got GEICO for auto insurance.

Had a tire failure on Rte. 3 north in the rain. Pulled off in Plymouth and into Cape Auto Service. Am on oxygen and could not change tire myself. Cape Auto moved my front tire to the rear, replacing the failed tire there and mounted the spare on the front. In less than 15 minutes they brought me outside and said I was good to go. They would not accept any money from me!!I was stunned. I only wish I lived near Plymouth because they would get all of my business. I didnt think places like this existed any longer.Thank you Cape Auto. You are a world class organization!!!

My wife had a new Infinity from one of the very large multi brand dealers. After 10,000 miles she went in for her 2ed oil change and was told she needed new brakes. I was a professional mechanic, and when she called me, I said absolutely No Way. But she was scared by the Big Dealer and wanted to be sure. The waiting area is small and I like that. You can hear everything that goes on. Everyone has a different story going into a service business like Cape Auto and the people who listen to these problems day in and day out do it with a smile on their face which seems to be infectious. I arrived for an appointment I scheduled online. The computer system didnt show my appointment upon my arrival.. The girls at the front desk were so nice and accommodating. They took my car despite to mix up. The service is always exceptional.

My car would not start and I did not have a mechanic to tow it to. Fortunately I had AAA who recommended Cape Auto. I was a new customer and the staff Herb and Danielle treated me like I had been a long time customer. They gave me a loner free of charge. The staff there is very professional and very friendly. Cape Auto has done body work for me twice in the past decade, and has serviced my aging Tahoe for the past 2 years. While the body shop and service center are in different locations in town, they consistently have provided excellent customer service, and prompt and quality repairs. From the front desk to the service writers to the mechs and techs to the owner/managers, they all care about getting to the root of the problem in a way that is consultative (not going to nickel and dime you for unnecessary work like some places) and doesnt break the bank. Recently I had a subborn intermittent electrical problem that the dealer couldnt be bothered to try to fix, but Cape Auto figured it out and got it repaired reasonably. They also always have free-of-charge loaners available whenever you need them. Will be back, and would definitely recommend trying them!

This is a good review...The Galleranis and their team EXCEL at customer service. New wipers, tire rotation and oil change for my wifes vehicle. And, they even gave me a loaner car to do errands so I did not have to wait! Scheduled online, done before they said it would be. Who else does that? The wipers were buy one, get one free. $10 coupon from their website for the oil change too... Very happy with this experience!

Honest as the day is long. Ive been going to them for many years, and last weeks experience is a great example of how trustworthy they are. I had a slow leak in a tire. They were checking it out, and they punctured it by mistake. So they ordered me a replacement tire and installed it for free. Would other places cover it up - saying the tire exploded on its own (and have me pay)? Im betting yes.

Cape Auto is a mechanic and body shop I’ve been going to for about 4 years now. They are honest, and up front. The pricing is as fair as it gets, but the customer service is above and beyond. Whether weunderstand or not, they are completely transparent with me as far as what my car needs and doesn’t need. I’m never blindsided by a large repair, and when we do have a repair it sticks. They also use quality parts from NAPA that are backed by warranties which they keep on file for you! We know when Cape Auto is my “Point B”, not only is my car in good hands, but so are we and the people we refer. A++++
