BEWARE: MAJOR DELAY ON ORDER!!Found a recliner that we liked and sat down with the sales representative to place the order in March 2021. At that time we were told we would receive the recliners in 3 months and 3 months goes by and I do not hear anything, so I call La-Z-Boy in Pleasant Hill to check on the status. The person who picked up the phone checked my order and said ETA is in August, so I guess the sales rep did not know the correct delivery date or just wanted to make the sale. It is now late July and I still have not heard anything from La-z-Boy. I called today and the rep said ETA is now in late September! I do not know what is going on, but I figure they would have a better idea on when the recliner should arrive. I just hope that I do not need to call back next month to hear them say ETA is now October! I have already put down a deposit so I do not want to cancel. I will not be ordering from La-Z-Boy in the future and will share this experience with family and friends.UPDATE: 11/04/2021I called again to check on my order and am now told it should arrive by the end of November (order was placed in early March). It would be nice if La-Z-Boy keep their customers informed and up-to-date on orders small or big. It is poor customer service when an order is place and you dont hear a peep from the seller. I lost my faith in La-Z-Boy, I wish I had a better experience. Other retailers were able to provide updates and delivered as promised during these times and I would assume La-Z-Boy would be able to do the same. I guess they are called La-Z-Boy for a reason since the service I received clearly showed it.
They have some great but expensive furniture. I definitely enjoyed looking at their selection of chairs and couches also ended finding an excellent coffee table for my living room. I love that you can customize a lot of things there if you have the money. Service was good it was nice to see so many people that are willing to help. Definitely would go back
Looked at so many recliners! Thinking about it and will go back before the sale ends.. They have great furniture! Entire living room sets. Great end tables and lamps. The sales people are not pushy. I recommend you go check them out!

Delays in orders! Telling us it would be 8-12 weeks. Ended up being over 16 wks. And we had to do all the follow up. Now we are trying to find our part they said they ordered in the beginning of July. Was told it was in stock in San Jose. Now after multiple calls to Peasant Hill store they THINK it was shipped to Canada !!! Still no call backs from the store !!! Very horrible customer service!! Calling them again and again the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. Ugghhhh!
I don’t appreciate having someone assigned to me as an escort when I walk through the door. I only wanted to look around, see if they had an example of what I was looking for. I would then ask for more information if I found an item I was interested in.Some people will appreciate the escort. I personally do not.
I was very impressed by my visit today. They were not pressuring me they gave me space and time to figure out exactly what I wanted and they actually got a sale from me. Scott explained every detail twice so I understood.
The furniture delivery service called to advise of the delivery time frame and asked that I key in a number to accept the delivery time. In this current age of connect ability I had answered the call on my iPad because my phone was in another room. The I pad can act like a phone, but cannot dial. I could not confirm the delivery time. Might have caused a problem. The guys did arrive and set up the furniture. All was done very professionally and quickly.
They were very helpful. I actually changed my mind about the chair but the gentleman who helped me was very attentive and knowledgeable.
Well, they told us it would be 4 months to get the couch but now theyre saying 6. Who knows if theyll make that date. I paid nearly $4k for this thing. If your delivery dates are going to be so nebulous use a deposit instead of charging outright, please. 0/5, spent $3600 on a couch in October and dont have a couch.

Horrible customer service. Get nothing but run around after run around. Told 8-12 weeks for estimated delivery. At 12 weeks and not heard anything i called for an update and they said i was a liar and that i was originally quoted 12-18 weeks. Note that i have, in writing on my paper work 8-12 weeks. They then stated it would be another 12 weeks. This was back in july 2020. Its now march 2021. I still have no couch. And they keep giving me the run around. Also note that i have to call them everytime for an update. They have not once called me to update me on anything. The worst experience i have ever delt with. Im still waiting for my couch. If you wish to purchase new furniture i would stay away from pleasant hill lazy boy.
The store was neat and clean. The employees welcomed me upon arrival and that was the last time I was addressed. I was by myself so I wondered if they didnt think I was serious about buying. I did bother one person with a question, they gave me a answer and were off again to help another couple. I had additional questions but decided not to ask. I left the store and went to a local furniture store in town. I ordered my recliner and a couch after receiving excellent service from Gary at Three Brothers In Vallejo.
First time going here and we really was going in to just look at sofas and go and look at other stores . But seeing a sofa that caught our eyea and having help from Mr. Abe he sold us a beautiful sofa the service there was just nice people Abe was very helpful and kind and we are going back with my mom so she can pick our a recliner.

The staff followed Covid 19 guidelines by requiring masks and offering hand sanitizer. Judy, the salesperson, was present and checked on us often without being pushy. Overall a pretty stress free shopping experience and I would recommend them

I wanted to get myself a recliner so I went to La-Z-boy furniture. The sales person was very helpful in suggesting which recliner was best for a short person so I tried out a few chairs. The chairs are very comfortable. I purchased the chair today and the process went very quick and smooth. I cant wait to receive my chair and relax in it. I recommend La-z-boy furniture as a great choice for a recliner.
It took us a couple days to decide on recliners. Debby Knoll, at the Pleasant Hill store was very helpful. First class service and ensured we were able to take advantage of several sales. Why La-Z-Boy? Quality! We still have grandpas recliner from over 30 years ago.
I just love the customer experience in this store. Had to replace a recliner part - called the Concord Store - took 2 minutes for Karen to find my account, order the part and insure I will have it within a few days. No charge. Wonderful!

Helpful sales rep, decent price. My furniture had to be ordered, and was promised in 4-8 weeks. Naturally I assumed it would take the full 8 weeks. Furniture was received in 3 weeks and delivered a week later, so Im very satisfied that they under-promised and over-delivered. And the pieces (recliner and reclining loveseat) are much more comfortable than what they replaced, purchased from a high-end (read: expensive and uncomfortable) furniture gallery. The cat likes the new pieces too, which is a plus.
The salesman was friendly, knowledgeable and polite. He answered all of out questions. We were a bit disappointed that the love seat we were interested in was not on display.The only down side was the amount of waiting time while the order was documented, reviewed and signed.We also dont the 6 - 8 week waiting time, but we do understand why it is needed.
This is My 3rd time dealing with Lazyboy and I WILL NOT DEAL WITH ANYONE ELSE. Debby did a fantastic job showing Us the different styles of couch and love seat. She ask questions as to what We wanted most and then had us try out 4 different units until We found the one We wanted and then She thought it was in stock but NOT. Oh well We feel it is worth waiting for. Give that Young Lady a raise.
The only issue I have is that my wife israrely sharing the chair with me. Lots of rules to followbefore I can use it.The delivery was timely, well managed and staff was courteouswell mannered, helpful and professional in manner.The chair is a treat, what can we say.WE ARE HAPPY WITH OUR PURCHASE.

I found exactly what I was looking for at La-Z-Boy. The moment I walked in I knew I would be buying furniture there. My sales associate John Paul was very helpful and knowledgeable and helped pick out exactly what I wanted. Any furniture I buy in the future will be lazy boy furniture. The quality is great the selection is amazing and I’ll be going back soon to pick out my end table and coffee table. So far I’m happy with everything, now just waiting till the furniture gets delivered.
We’ve been La-Z-Boy customers for many tears. The staff at the Pleasant Hill store are pleasant and helpful. They spent time helping us pick out our new sectional and fabric, without being pushy. Very enjoyable shopping experience.
The shopping experience was very pleasant. I was allowed to take my time and try several items before making my choice. The staff was all helpful and even found some extra pillows for me at another store. They were great at helping to select he right materials and color scheme as well.
We had done our homework and knew what we wanted. The young woman who helped us quickly directed us to where they were located. Helped us sort through fabrics. Then, she gave us room to think our purchase through. It felt like our own decision. It makes the wait easier.
The showroom experience was good. The lady we worked with made things easy and worked with me to select a compatible custom fabric to incorporate in the rest of our living room. We bought 2 recliners. One was a leather power recliner and one was a custom fabric recliner with a pull handle to recline. It took 3 months for the recliners to be ready due to some sort of delay with the leather recliner. Due to this delay, they offered us free delivery which saved $100.The leather power recliner is working great and was a godsend as Ive had rotator cuff surgery and am using it to sleep in. However, the custom fabric recliner with the pull handle sticks frequently and is very difficult to manage. This was before my surgery. I should probably contact then while it is still under warranty as with what we paid for these recliners I expect them to work smoothly.

Lazy Boy is doing everything it can to stay in business. If you take a look at their inventory, their mfg process and the way they do business, it will make you wonder.. . The wife and I were just there and she remarked how much theyre prices have gone up. .
Store experience was good. Abe was very attentive, honest and generally helpful with the process. My one complaint was with the delivery. The chair was left unassembled at the place of delivery. We had to assemble ourselves day of the move. Otherwise, good experience.

The Lazboy sales women was very nice and helpful with our visit today. With her help, we were able to purchase two matching swivel rocker recliners, one love seat and one sofa with matching covers and styles. We were able to get raised recliners to make it easier for me to stand. She explained every detail as we were making the purchase and went through everything prior to our purchase. Without her help we probably would have gone to another furniture store.

I honestly dont understand all of the very negative reviews. We had a wonderful experience, beginning to end. On Labor Day weekend we went into the store to buy 2 La-Z-boy chairs. We were greeted by Joann, who showed us a number of chairs that she thought would work for us. We were then left to try chairs for as long as we wanted. We had many questions, which were answered quickly and professionally. We were under absolutely no pressure to buy. The store arranged for the chairs to be delivered at the earliest mutually convenient day. Then, after sitting in my chair for 2 days,I realized that the discomfort I was feeling was due to a problem with the padding in the seat. I telephoned the store, and wonderful Karen arranged a replacement chair for me to be delivered two days later at no charge. And now - ah - complete comfort. Thank you, La-Z-boy Pleasant Hill.
Nightmare of an experience! We were told the existing furniture would be moved for us, and have this confirmed in writing from our salesperson at the store via email. When the delivery driver arrived he refused to move the furniture, cursed at me, said he wasn’t my b^*%# and almost physically attacked me. I have all this on video mind you, so there’s no question it was done. While he was outside I locked the door and called the police. He was banging on my door demanding to be let in to get his clipboard. I refused to open to such an irate “professional” delivery person. The cops came, and all was settled for the time being. The store was aware of this entire incident as I had called them once the cops were on the way, and they never followed up or offered to do anything. I will never step foot in the Pleasant Hill location again, nor buy Lazy Boy furniture.
I am a long time lazy boy Customer....not any more**However, as of today that’s changed. 16 months ago I bought two very expensive leather chairs. Since January those chairs have started to peel, on the arms. Th color is coming off of them. It’s like they have a coating of color that’s now starting to disintegrate.I called LazyBoy today and talk to them about it and they let me know that for $450 they would fix it. As far as they’re concerned it’s beyond the one-year date of purchase and they no longer feel responsible for the defective product.I was polite but left messages with manager’s to reconcile this issue. No call back yet.My problem with this is that LazyBoy is made in America, with all of the hype about buying American, use American products, support American manufacturers, I do this and what do I get for it... Really poor customer service, poor quality fabrics and leather and no conscience from the company.I do have to admit I was shy of the one your date because of the COVID-19 issue. I had called in March and nobody was there and when I called back today they just won’t help me. They won’t even look at it.What I can say is, when I was looking for chairs I looked at a couple of different manufactures and Furniture stores and going forward I will not buy from LazyBoy again.RC Willy has a better selection, great maintenance contracts, 14 day return on anything no question asked, and stands behind their product 100%‼️Going forward, I won’t ever buy a La-Z-Boy product again. I think the company is neglectful, they don’t stand by their products, they have poor maintenance agreements and the one that they give is no good..I guys La-Z-Boy is just what they are....Lazy on all fronts!!!!‼️

Pleasant Hill staff was friendly and informative. The July 4 sale offered a good price. Main problem was that the item was not available for a 4-8 week window. This recliner is needed for a person who has mobility issues and could use a (nearly) prone sleeping position. Staff was told, but the company could not speed up the process. So the person can not take advantage of the product as soon as it is needed.
Horrible Service. f you are in the market for reclining chairs DO NOT stop here. If I could give ZERO stars I would.We worked directly with the store manager who promised us that everything would be perfect, but that didnt turn out to be the case. She was great at making empty sales promises and shes been in the business at that store for over 30 years.The furniture you receive is nowhere near the quality, fit and finish you see in the showroom. And once its in your house, good luck getting them to do anything about it.We bought two designer chairs. Upon delivery, we immediately noticed that the legs were scratched and that the quality of the workmanship was sub-par - parts were not aligned, and overall it just did not have the quality that drew me in when I looked at the chairs in the store. I immediately went in and spoke to the manager - she made lots of promises - Ill get a tech out right away to address this etc. Were now 6 WEEKS out and still have scratched legs and sub-par furniture that we paid full price for.Bottom line is, this place specializes in bait-and-switch, takes advantage of your desire to buy made in the USA and then sticks you with poor quality merchandise that they dont stand by.
Very friendly, got a new chair, though getting that chair to this location is $50+, only way to get out of paying that is to drive all the way to San Jose. also they dont seem to check the furniture before giving it to you when they get their deliveries. the first chair we were given was broken so we had to return that one and then wait an entire WEEK for a new one with nothing for the inconvience, not even a Im so sorry this happened. getting deliveries only one day a week is not fair to the people who this happens to. luckily nothing was wrong with this new chair and we absolutely love it. though it would have been nice if they could help getting the chair into your car which they DO NOT do. they wont even touch your chair or whatever it is being gotten.
Love the chair and delivery was quick and easy.Not happy about the post sale service.My chair had a bad smell to it and I called, was told it was probably just the residue of the wrapping, etc and it would disappear in 1-2 weeks.I called again after a month (because the smell was still there) to get recommendations on how best to treat it and no one ever returned my call. They just disappeared—or I disappeared on their radar.
Sales person was not knowledgeable. Recliner Selection was good, except colors were not available for 6 weeks. Delivery is $120, but you can choose to pick up for $50!!!!Wayfair offers more selection and free delivery. Delivered to my door, assembled, for free. Cost is about 1/2! And they carry the lazy boy brand.

We were very impressed at the more modern designs of La-Z-Boys recliners and the ability to power adjust not only the back and footrest but also the lumbar support and headrest.Christy, who helped up was a delight to work with and very knowledgeable regarding the products. She listened carefully to our needs and quickly directed us to the best options to meet them.

We used to love their stuff. We bought a couch 15 years ago that is still going strong. Well built, good leather. We bought a chair about 6 years ago, and the fabric wore out. We replaced it this year with 2 chairs that just arent up to the old standard. The leathers thin, the fabric is cheap,b and they both creak when they rock. So we wont be back. To top it all off, there was a sales woman there we really liked who was apparently fired, and replaced with a used car salesman type. Too bad.

We had a very good experience at La-Z-Boy in Concord, Ca this past Sat. They had a Presidents Day sale which gave us a discount plus credit for the pick up of our old chairs when the new ones are delivered. Abe was great, he was around to answer questions but he didnt hover or bother us as we made our way around the store, which we greatly appreciated. Abe did not pressure us for a sale but instead was very flexible and gave us all the information we needed to make a final purchase.We purchased our old recliners from them 26 years ago, never had a problem with the mechanics, the leather was just old and worn.
The store is great but the furniture doesnt hold up like it used to. Had to have a recliner fixed at least 8 times and finally getting a new one for free. Thank god I bought the extended warranty.

The price was very reasonable compared to other big chain furniture stores, if not less expensive and quality of the furniture is far superior. The salesman (Jay) was very helpful and patient. The paperwork was completed while I sat in my new recliner. Highly recommended.

The main reason I purchased my La-Z-Boy Chairs is that I have owned La-Z-Boy products and have been very happy with them for over 20 years. I went in on the pretense of a sale. The prices on the computer and the store were completely different. The base price was not listed, only price as shown. The base price is in a binder, then by fabric. I was looking over the sales persons shoulder, the book said $1399 she wrote down $1499. Upon calling her on it, Fabric Protection was the explanation. This was never discussed until I pushed for an answer. The store practices seemed shady and I had to scrutinize the invoice carefully. Even when they stamped the fabric non-return caveat on the invoice for initials, it was done so over other print in a non legible way. The sales practices seemed worst that car salesmen. I still bought the chairs, even though there was a lot of pressure, youll lose the flash discount if you dont buy by X.... Next time I will think it over and probably go with Ethan Allen or a different more reputable less shadystore.I did receive my chairs and love them... The delivery person suggested I contact the service center and get new cushions for my old chairs, so there are firmer and more comfortable. Thanks to him, I did so and my old chairs are renewed and in our man cave. Excellent customer service from the deliver team.Customer service called me to let me know they were in and I asked to have them transferred to my local La-z-boy store. She let me that the store would call me when they were there. 4 Weeks later no call, so I followed up, the store operator started arguing with me stating that, They dont call customers for this type of order, I was miss informed!Really...you dont argue with customers.The Pleasant Hill store is hot and cold and customer service sucks. If it were for the quality of the La-Z-boy product, they would get a lot less stars.

We have been buying lazy boy chairs for years and they are the most comfortable chair you can sit in. Now we need a sofa! So were did we go?? LazyBoy!!!! I can’t wait to get my new sofa. It is beautiful and so very comfy! And my sofa reclines!!! Love love love lazyboy!!! And the prices are good too!! Not cheap but who wants a cheap chair or sofa!! This is our third purchase of a La-Z-Boy sofa and recliner and we are sold on the comfort, style, and quality of La-Z-Boy! This is a great store and JoAnn Davis is the most wonderful and knowledgeable sales associate...she is the best! Liked the lift chairs they had but very pricey and couldnt get financing and they dont have a decent layaway program if at all!

Abe met us at the door like a true salesman, but wasnt pushy, just asked what we were looking for and pointed us in the right direction, gave us a few basics and let us peruse everything at our own pace. We already knew we were probably going to leave having purchased a new recliner, having bought our previous one from this very store about 15 years ago. It was just a matter of finding the right amount of plushy-ness and the vast selection never fails to please. Yeah, prolly a La-Z-Boy fan here but the fanaticism is well deserved.

Love seat with console is nice. However the USB/inlet feature is not secure in the console.
