Love this place. Im a cardinal lover so my friend got me some for a gift. Im doing her wedding cake so I got a nice gift too. If youve never been here before plan on spending a couple hours. +at least. Their helpers are awesome as well.

This place is HUGE!!! When you visit, give yourself plenty of time to browse. It takes time to work your way through the store. If they dont have it, you dont need it. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer deliver throughout Central Florida which is very helpful. Every time I go to Southern Hospitality I find at least one item that I cannot live without.

I am a fairly new customer to this store. Its only my second time here. Always have at least an hour to spare before you go in this store. You dont want to miss going down each isle to eyeball a new item. The choices for creativity are endless. The staff is always present and ready to assist. I travel 45 minutes to come here. Its worth the drive when I am working on specialty projects.

We LOVE our furniture. The customer service could be better. They seem to be understaffed or something because we felt as though our purchase was inconveniencing them.

Big shop well stocked with home decor. They dont have the electric carts for handicap walkers but do have wheelchairs.

I went with my oldest daughter and youngest grandson. As we traveled through the store I saw many seasonal items, items for special occasions, and alot of craft supplies. For me, the prices were quite reasonable.

Awesome store, a definite must to stop and check it out, even if you dont like to look around (me) youll look around...

So many things to look at, fall is out and also Halloween, many things that stimulate your creativity.

We stopped in to buy just a few things and to look around, store has everything. Beautiful furniture, candles, wedding accessories. Store was very clean, not to busy at time we went. Met Linda who helped us out with getting a price changed on similar items that we were looking at. They also have Kylie Jenner nail polish on sale for 6 at 4.99. Nail polish remover for .69 cant go wrong with that price.

Took my kids here, I always loved going as a kid. They have these candles that smell amazing and are in cast iron skillets! We also picked up some gator decor for my son!

A little disappointed. They advertise a big event and did not have working bathrooms. The employee I spoke to was very friendly though.

For a place named southern hospitality not a single person greeted me how ironic is that? I entered on the furniture side and could not find a single shopping cart which discouraged me from shopping did not want to disturb the employees to busy discussing their vacation plans

Amazing stuff can get lost in here for hours

It has great stuff for women to shop for. Some stuff like planters and furniture is juice but on the pricey side.

When I first went in there I was amazed by their large assortment of artificial flowers, furniture, special event items (party/wedding), outdoor garden items, and premade flower arraignments. I was helped by an employee named Christine who helped navigate me through the store to find what I wanted. I highly recommend this place for anyone who likes to do crafts or who has time to browse. When I need to I will be back to shop at this ultra friendly store.

Lots of choices but too expensive

We have purchased many craft items and a few pieces of furniture from this store over the previous decades. Our most recent purchase was the sofa and loveseat shown which is made by Southern Motion. We saw the same brand in another store for a much higher price. The sales associate was very friendly, courteous and helpful. In addition, the delivery fee was a no brainer. We will definitely be back with any future furniture needs.

They have all the silk flowers and supplies even a pro needs. Very helpful staff as well.

Great merchandise, however many of the employees and guests were not wearing masks and I spent half my time trying to dodge those people. I will not return here until after either a mask mandate is enforced or the pandemic has passed.

We walked in today and saw a few employees with their masks under their chin, figured it was people just not using common sense. But then over the course of maybe 10 mins there were about 6 employees without proper masks 4 of which just didn’t have them on at all. Multiple customers were shopping without masks and the store didn’t ask them to put one on when they entered. I understand there are reasons to people don’t/can’t wear masks but that is too large a percentage.The part that bothers me the most is I called ahead of time because I came from out of town to confirm this county’s mask mandate and I was told I had to wear a mask and that the employees did too.I wasted 2+ hours and gas to be disappointed that this store and it’s employees aren’t taking the safety of their customers (and themselves) seriously.

Southern Hospitality is a great family owned mega store of southern furnishings, decor, nick-nacks, and country living trappings. Some of their prices seem a little high, but the selection is incredibly large and well kept.

This store has two signs at their entrance stating masks or social distancing is required. We walked in with our masks on only to see a group of employees talking to one another and not one of them was wearing a mask OR standing 6 feet apart from one another. We ventured further into the store only to see customers and every employee not wearing masks. Given the narrow isles and crowds this store commonly has how can anyone social distance while shopping there? During the 15 - 20 minutes we spent inside we were passed by a family of 3 within 2 feet of us not wearing masks and a couple of employees walking through within touching distance, again without masks. This store is way too loaded with merchandise and shoppers to believe anyone could possibly social distance in there. No thank you I will shop somewhere else that takes the safety of their customers and staff more seriously.

Bought a sofa . Was told it would be put in the back, went to pick it up after we closed on the house three weeks later, it was still sitting on the floor where we bought it from who knows who all sat on it after it was purchased ? Not the way it should be. Especially at the prices you pay!

Today is August 18, 2020 and according to the Hillsborough County ordinance businesses like this should be requiring masks for Covid19. We went into this store and saw virtually no employees nor shoppers wearing a mask. Having both been through Covid, we were wearing masks and asked about why they were not wearing them. One employee behind the the counter was snickering as the other lady said they were not required. Then a man that was standing not 2 feet away from me stated that because they could social distance, masks were not necessary. Interesting that he was neither wearing a mask nor could I see one in sight for him. This experience makes me wonder if they are taking any precautions to protect shoppers from Covid in their store.

The staff is great very helpful so much to see good PRICES love shopping there for gifts.

Went there yesterday for the first time to see what kind of inventory they had. Weve been looking for a nice bedroom set and some other furniture for the living room. Weve already looked at other places from Rooms to Go to Ashley. The associate we ended up speaking with was related to the owner, and we asked about the price for buying the full bed set, and possibly another piece of living room furniture if we liked the price for the bed set. Wasnt thrilled when she came back with a barely $100 difference. We asked if that was the lowest shed go, and she immediately started looking around, as if we were a waste of her time. We offered $2,200 out the door in cash (the price of the whole bed set without the discount), but I guess that wasnt good enough for her because she said no.Thanks to this associate, this family owned store lost out on a $4,000 sale, all because of a $100 difference. Im always looking to support private businesses, but I guess well be taking ours to a corporate chain instead. Real shame, because they have really nice inventory. The associate needs to realize they are located in Plant City, so the expectation for negotiation is much different versus being located in somewhere like downtown Tampa. The youre wasting my time attitude doesnt work everywhere, and in some cases, its quite rude. Like this one.

Had been here before..many years ago .. didnt know it was still there. Was very pleased to accidentally stumble on it. Still very nice inside...good quality merchandise. Like anywhere..some prices were good..some not so much. Overall ..nice😀.

Today my husband and I went to Southern Hospitality looking for 2 dinning room sets. I found lots of tables chairs and China hutches that I liked and decided on 2 sets but needed help. Well the lady at desk really had no desire to help us and she rudely handed me a catalog and said I could look thru here and see if I found matching hutch for another table I had in mind. Well my husband politely asked if we could sit at a table while looking and she said no sit at this table. She actually argued with another man there because he asked why we couldnt sit at the first table. I figured they must be related by the way she spoke to him. Anyways long story short she made me feel extremely unwelcome and I let her know I appreciated her Southern Hospitality and that we wouldnt be buying anything from that place!! They probably lost about a five thousand dollar sale today!
