Very responsive, took great care of my car. Film was added to my front driver and passenger windows. They matched perfectly with my other windows that were already shaded. They had my car finished in under 2 hours, were very friendly and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

After owning my Lexus here in Texas a few years and passing all inspections, the state of Texas decided that the tint on my two front windows were too dark. Alta Mere did a great job removing the illegal tint from both windows and replacing them with legal tint. The whole process from start to finish with Alta Mere was very no-fuss and everyone I spoke to was very nice and helpful - plus their work came with a lifetime warranty. At my last inspection, the same Lexus failed another inspection two years AFTER the first fail because the state of Texas NOW noticed/decided/whatever that the windshield has tint! Grrr... Annoying! Back to Alta Mere. Once again, the experience was simple and everyone was super helpful. I was able to make an appointment to leave my car so that I didnt have to wait in the lobby for four hours. (but you can wait if you wish) They also replaced the passenger side tint under warranty no questions asked due to a small line that started to form where the window meets the rubber seal. I really appreciated that I was able to get both things done at the same time and that Alta Mere didnt give me a hassle about redoing the passenger tint. All said, I have no complaints with my two experiences dealing with this company, so 5 stars! I recommend this company. Thanks guys!

Reached out to a few business for a quote for a window tint on an Audi A5, this was the only business that actually gave me the price of each window tint they offered and not just a range for all their tints. Super helpful explaining how the heat rejection works and what to look for in a window tint. In-store, Dakota helped me out and he was awesome. Got Polestar 2 electric vehicle a couple months ago and since no dealer in Dallas, took delivery in Austin. While Alta Mere is better and cheaper than most dealer tint, I definitely didn’t want to hassle with a dealer in Austin if something went wrong on tint.Got the car back to Dallas and hit up Alta Mere first thing next day. They were able to get me in and out same day, even though schedule was pretty full already and the car model is new so it was the first Polestar 2 they’ve done. Can’t remember the tint name, but darkest legally allowed and most heat/UV blocking. Very satisfied.Also my wife just bought a new Telluride SUV and will be making appt soon.

Went to Alta Mere on a chance by looking at reviews. Dakota was very kind and straightforward with me about my Lexus IS250. I was wanting dark tint all over, but didn’t need it. I only needed the windshield dark and my moonroof to match everything else. Prices are extremely reasonable. Job well done! My wife will be getting her BMW 228i done there soon as well.

What can I say, Alta Mere is hands down the best tinting place in north dallas. They have done a couple of my vehicles over the years and I received the same quality work. My first job was done in 2010 and the film lasted for five years until I traded my vehicle in. Second job was done recently and its perfect. I am particular about this Tx heat so I generally get the top of the line and as dark as legally possible. I opted for the SolarCeramic and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The price was within my budget. I was expecting to have to wait for a couple days to get in but they were able to get it done the same day I called and in only an hour and a half to complete the job. The staff has always been friendly with me and always explained all of my options. As long as they are in business Ill bring my vehicles to them. Overall Alta Mere is the place to be, dont look anywhere else.

Sean provided me an excellent tint recommendation, about 6-8 months ago, on how to effectively protect my car that sits outside in the Texas sun everyday.But what really sent me over the moon, was how he handled my unexpected repair request — after my dad accidentally scrapped the tint off in attaching my new car registration sticker. They were able to cut away the scrapings and re-attach my new sticker to cover the damage. Problem solved!I’m so grateful they had my back in even the most “predictable” requests. 😉

Weve used Alta Mere in Plano for many years across many vehicles and they ALWAYS take stellar care of us at a fair price with quality materials and work. PLEASE dont fall for the cheaper competition. You usually get what you pay for. Is Alta Mere the cheapest around? Of course not. They also are nowhere near the most expensive. I assure you they are among the best at what they do though.

I was refused service for simply asking questions, doing my due diligence, shopping around for the best company for the job, and researching to try to find the best window tint for the best price. I reached out to this company because I wanted to find the best company to install my window tint for my new Mercedes C63 AMG. After just a few basic questions, it was clear to me that the individual I was chatting with just wants people with dumb money as customers, that he wants customers to just give him the money and trust whatever he says. The person was condescending, implying that Im not worthy to be educated by him and that he doesnt want to deal with me as a customer. I was never disrespectful to him or his staff. Nevertheless, he banned me from using his services. Honestly, with that attitude he most likely sells substandard window tint anyway since he cant stand the scrutiny of questions. I ended up going to Bonnie and Clyde window tint and got ceramic tint for a significantly lower price anyway. Please see a screenshot of our conversation attached and note that nothing in our conversation warranted such an extreme and disproportionate action by Randy.

I made an appointment and was told they were really busy since it was summer and they wouldnt do a walk in but I missed the appointment was 6 tried to make another one but the guy that answered was rude about me missing the appointment so I just went to another place that just took 20 minutes to tint the front two windows, Ive used them in the past and actually had really good service but lately it seems like they dont wanna work much so Ill just take my business to other places that arent rude

Scheduled an appointment to get my front two windows stripped an re-tinted because they were too dark to pass state inspection. I got there at 8 and I was gone before 8:45 with everything completed. They had several different choices of tint but I went with the highest quality with a lifetime warranty and including the strip of the front windows paid around $170, which is less than I was finding at other shops. They were always friendly and courteous when I call with some questions and to schedule an appointment. Im sure there are shops out there that I could have gotten a cheaper tint at but I dont mind paying for good service for a good quality product that they are going to stand behind.I would gladly recommend the Plano location to anybody look to get a tint job.

Had my windows tinted and speakers installed. Randy was awesome! Very upfront about cost, picked my Chrysler 300 up and it was exactly what I asked for and it was done fast, about 2 hours each time I dropped it off.

Went in around noon, was told it would be finished in 2 hours, but they finished it in 1 hour. Service seemed pretty good, they were very friendly and even had a dog in the back! I was told that I would be able to start rolling my windows up/down after 2 days, but even after 2 days, my driver side window still has a bubble and a line. The bubble seems like it should be going away probably after another day, but the line will probably remain there forever. Although its not too noticeable, its still a little bit annoying.

Is there a button for 0 stars??? This shop is horrible. I am a dealer/Sales Ford Motoring Group of Dallas, by way of McDavid Lincoln Plano. This shop is on the list of authorized tint shops that my dealership uses. Ive always wondered why we used other vendors that are far away, when this shop is literally next door to the dealership. Well now I know why. I took one of my personal vehicles there to get tinted. First of all, the job was totally horrible. I had spots in my window as if someone shot buck shots from a shot gun in it as there was a lot of dirt under the tint. I brought this to Randys attention and his reply was yes, this is totally unacceptable, we will get it fixed . Not until I showed him 3 other windows and the rear glass were the same, not to mention the front windshield tint wasnt cut properly and covered the frit which is the small dot pattern around the edge of the windshield which blocks heat.So Randy advised that he wasnt going to strip all the tint and re-tint...He advised that he wanted out of the deal and wanted to just strip the tint and refund me the money. I advised, that was the smartest thing he had said all day. Very rude guy. If your not going to acknowledge your work is less than average and make an attempt to fixed the issue, why be in business. However, this was totally my fault. If I had read the reviews prior to taking my vehicle, I wouldnt have had this issue. In addition to this, they took my door panels off the front doors to the the tint flush, however both panels on the front were placed back wrong. I have attached a pic below as you guys can see how high this inside door panel sticks about my window. Needless to say, You guys do the math......

*WARNING* DO NOT GET YOUR WINDOWS TINTED AT ALTA MERE. I got my windows tinted here and after 5 days I noticed little bubbles on all my windows which my back window had over 30+ bubbles. I took my car back to Alta Mere and talked with Randy (owner or manager) and he said theres not much he can do its normal. I got my previous car tinted and there was no bubbles in any of the windows so I even took my car to 3 different car tinting places to verify and they told me my tint was done “half ass.” Randy refused to give me a refund or redo my tint. I paid almost $400 for the job. This is the worse service I have ever received. I just bought a 45K car and now the windows make it look horrible. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE TO GET TINT.

I have a 15 year old car on which I had the windows tinted at Alta Mere in Plano, TX when it was new. The tint has lasted quite well during that time.About a month ago, I noticed a large bubble/delaminated area on the back window. The tint was listed as having a lifetime warranty, so I went back to Alta Mere to investigate. Randy, the owner of the store, couldnt have been more helpful.They no longer routinely stock the tint I have on my car, but Randy ordered in the exact same product and replaced the tinting, under warranty, not only on the back window, but on the 2 rear side windows as well.He really knows how to treat his customers and when I purchase a new vehicle, his store will be my first stop after driving it off the lot.

I called back later the same day and made an appointment for the next morning.When I arrived the next morning, I met with Randy, who apologized and informed me that they were out of the tint I wanted and that they were waiting for a shipment to come in. We rescheduled and he promised to knock some money off. People who run their own businesses, pay attention: apologize for your customers inconvenience and try and make it right with them. I cant even be mad or upset, especially given that it was out of their control.The next day, Dave (who I think is the owner?) called me and told me once again, their shipment still hadnt come in and that if I rescheduled again - theyd knock some more money off. At this point I had already had to reschedule a few other appointments, it was a bit of an inconvenience...but again, offer to make it right, give me a discount...anyone reasonable cant even be mad about it.Dropped my car off finally and they stripped the terrible tint that Honda Cars of McKinney had put on and tinted it again with their superior quality film.
