Car X is full of awesome people. I walked into their shop about 20 minutes before closing and told them I didnt even have the vehicle on site. Micah is an amazing person and didnt want to leave me stranded in a nearby parking lot. He walked to my vehicle carrying all the necessary parts and equipment and got the job done quick, and done well while I paid inside. Honest and genuine people that care about their customers. Cantt recommend Car X enough, especially Micah!

Dropped car off for a simple brake service. Waited in the Lobby for 15 minutes before anyone came out to help, despite several employees passing me. None of them even acknowledged my presence. The general manager was in his office on a personal phone call and did not even nod when I peeked into his office. After 15 minutes of waiting, I was curtly helped and told I would be given a call with an estimate for any other work that needed to be done. I explained I only wanted a brake job completed and not interested in an estimate and went through all the things I knew were wrong. After waiting a day and half...with no phone call I called and talked with an employee. After several minutes on hold, the employee came back and stated two people tried calling me but got a different person on the phone. As the mechanic went through the estimate, another phone call came it. I ignored it to finish the estimate. they quoted me 1100.00 over the cost of the brakes to fix knuckle bearings or something of a similar nature. I said no -- just get the brakes done. I hung up the phone and behold...I received a voicemail from Car X wanting to discuss what they found. I picked up the car, paid for the service. The girl verified my phone number which was correct -- so the person that initially tried calling misdialed and did not try again. I went out to the car (which was washed and detailed prior to dropping off), and noticed dirty boot marks on the door frame and the carpet, greasy hand and fingerprints on the steering wheel, both arm rests, door panel and seat. The side door panel had been removed for what I do not know and two of the plastic clips are now broke. The drivers seat was reclined all the way back like they were cruising in it. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason for the car to be in this condition, especially moving a car about 100 feet. I took the car to Big O in Brownsburg for new tires. For the cost of tires, a bracket, alignment and bearing replacement, it cost less than what Car X was going to charge for the bearings alone. Car rides like a dream now. I will never take another vehicle to Car X in Brownsburg again.

Ive been going to Car-x for 35 years and will never go anywhere else. Car-x Plainfield provides amazing service at a very reasonable price. Theyre friendly, honest and totally professional. Their managers and mechanics are top flight and they will bend over backwards to ensure your complete satisfaction. They rock.

I wish there is a zero star as those guys are dishonest with their customers. They dont and wont admit their fault. I owe 4 cars and I have been a regularly customers with them for more than 3 years. They have informed me on the phone they will install my new set of tires with alignment. The service took 4 hrs. Now After driving my car for an entire year my car start shaking on the highway. When I called to schedule alignment they told me we dont do alignment on your car, and they keep telling me that I was informed about it. Why I drove my car from Greenwood all the way to you to install a new set tires without alignment?!If they have just admitted their fault I wont be disappointed and will still trust their service but not anymore, what a shame

I have been using these guys for years and have continued to send friends and family to them. They are honest, friendly and fair! I never have to worry about me or my family ever being taken advantage of when we need services. Im telling you now if you are just still thinking these guys are just the old brake guys from the past you are missing out. These guys can pretty much do it all now and do it well!

This specific CAr-X was (in the past) very efficient in getting tire work performed. The employees behind the desk were friendly and customer focused. That has changed as two of their top desk employees are no longer there. They continue to be professional, however, over the past year they have not been able to keep their promises in tire rebalance / rotation and repair.I had to drive 50 miles to an appointment for tire rotation and rebalance and the repair of one tire. I arrived 30 minutes late but still had over 2 hours remaining to do the jobs scheduled. I chalked my tires so I confirmed they did not rotate the tires nor did they rebalance them.....they repaired and rebalanced the single tire.On subsequent times when I wanted to get the tires rebalanced their tire balance machine was broken on two separate dates(over the past 5 months). I am tired of dealing with this Car-X as they can no longer perform any work that one receives when you buy a full set of tires. I had to get rebalance work done at Belle Tire last month (at my additional cost) after calling the Plainfield store and the store telling me they could not fit me in ! Im tired of Car-X not delivering. The store has too few stalls for tire and brake work. So think twice about buying tires from them and then collecting on your follow up work with the tire purchase. One of the Continental tires purchased are now witnessing tread delamination. I will attempt one more time to get the work done that is owed me. If they choose to not fit me in then I will be taking my money elsewhere.

Uncle Joe (who is movin kinda slow) has an excellent CarX team. Robert, Ryan.and Bri are always friendly and they know their job. Ive been doing business with this location for many years. They will never sell you something you dont need. I have the utmost confidence in the repairs they make. I have been referring people to this business for years.

I have chosen Car X to be my repair facility to go. I find them fair in price and do good work.However, I was not pleased to see that no employee wore a mask when in contact with a customer. No apparent cleaning or sanitizing of cars after repairs, and lack of visible distancing in the showroom. Only one customer of 10 while I was waiting wore a mask not including myself. Business may be back to 100% but this virus is not gone and I do not want Indiana to reverse as is happening in other states because of very relaxed guidelines.Come on you can do better!

Everytime I go there I am met with a smile and an energetic aura that makes me feel welcome and happy. Zach, Devin, and Bri in the express lube portion always make sure Im taken care of without fail and if something goes wrong they act and fix it. Ryan and Rob at the front desk always come and check to make sure things are going smoothly and make you feel like you are family and ask how I am and hows life been. Luke on the repair side has always gone above and beyond as well to make sure I understand the problems found and how to notice signs to listen and look for to ensure I can get it to them before any more damage is caused. The are fast and they dont overcharge a single damn dime. They truly look out for you and dont break your wallet. I will always return to them no matter what. Excellent place for honest feedback on your vehicle. I took my car to the Plainfield location expecting to get new brakes all around. The mechanic checked my brakes and informed me that I still had plenty of wear and would not need to replace them. Not too many places around now that provide honesty and great repairs. You can trust this place for both!

Great service

The price was not was quoted. The technician forgot to plug in my cam sensor all the way in. I drove around with my truck backfiring and it wasnt doing that before I took it in to be serviced. I have a 20 year old truck and I know it has tons of issues but I shouldnt have more problems than I had before I went in with.

2yrs later and car x is our go to place whenever our car needs anything.Went in this morning for an oil change on my Chevy equinox and then my check engine light came on. Oil change was done quick. Anthony worked our car in to see why the light was on .came back in a reasonable time, anthony took the time to explain everything to me and even took the time to explain over the phone to my partner what was wrong. Anthony quoted a great price and had it fixed in no time. Kyle the technician did an awesome job. This shop could have overcharged us but anthony was honest and only charged for the 15 minutes to fix it. If your looking for reasonable prices and car repairs done in a timely manner go to this shop.

Quick a d friendly service, good discounts (coupons come out regularly). The only downside is that Id already left before noticing the reminder sticker wasnt replaced at this visit. Just an oversight. We regularly recommend Car-X to others.

The new guy that was hired a few months ago named Steven, I believe, ended up breaking one of my air intake clamps, which they replaced, & dented up my front fender a lil bit after laying on my fender with all his weight trying to get the clamp to work. I will continue to have my oil changes done here but will request another service person to do any & all work on my 3 cars that I bring there from now on. Was very irritated with wat happened & very disappointed in the service I received on June 8, 2020.

This is a great Car-X. They tell you their honest opinion when things need to be fixed. I thought I needed rotors but I just needed pads. While I was waiting, I just heard a mechanic tell an elderly gentleman his brakes looked like new even after the old guy insisted he might need work because its been two years since he got the car. Luckily the mechanic was able to convince him that $0 was all he needed to pay today. Good people still exist. Thats why Ive been coming here 10+ years.

Okay this is my last shoutout for the day. BUT this crew is fantastic. My Husband and I have gone to them since they opened. They are quick and efficient and honest with pricing. Tonight my van is not working. I had it towed to them. They called right away and informed me they could not fix and drove my vehicle to another dealer AND THEN drove it back to them after they told me they could not see me until December 16th. For FREE. Amazing customer service does not go unnoticed ever to me. I adore all of the people here.

I just had to get new tires unexpectedly because mine were very worn unknowingly and they were so hospitable and helpful! Got it done very quickly and researched all my options for me. They always give you direct information about your vehicle issue at this spot; good news or bad news. They handle their business very professionally and are within industry standards for pricing on their work, often times significantly lower than the competition. A highly recommend place to have work done.

I enjoy sitting in the waiting room here because I get to hear these guys help so many people out. They take the time to explain the options to everyone and it always seems like they have the customers best interest at heart. They spent a long time troubleshooting something and then almost as long explaining what they thought was wrong. This was for a customer whos second language is English. This is a shop that cares. I come here from Martinsville. I have for years. You should too.

I went to get a morning run in only to find a nail in my tire when I got home. It was losing air fast so I drove it over to carx ASAP and what I thought was a day of plans ruined for my birthday only to be fixed fast and treated really well. Super reliable place, been going for years.

Went there for an alignment for my Ford Expedition. Car X was the lowest price in town. The alignment was correct and quickly completed. I have had other services done at this Car X and have returned time and time again. Some prices are high here as always... buyer beware shop around and be an educated consumer with that said Car X will stand behind their work. I also appreciate that Car X is the only place in town that collects used antifreeze and oil for free! They are a win - win I do many repairs to my vehicles on my own but when I need help my Car goes to Car X.

I love this place. They always do right when I go in for a oil change. Not too pricey and usually they have a running special going. If you bring in a canned food item then its like so much money off. They always treat me with respect and get me in and out fast.

Great people, great price! They do honest work here and ensure your vehicle is safe to be back on the road without giving you the runaround like every other shop I have been to. They repaired crappy work I had done at another shop and my car has been running better than ever! This is the only shop I will visit from now on.

Joe and his team have been taking care of my car and I for at least a year now. I have never had to wait longer than I was told, and have often been able to get in right away. I have had a couple more significant issues with my car and I always felt very confident that they were taking good care of my care, and mostly not over charging me or adding on services that I didnt need. The mechanics are really nice and always take the time to explain what is going on. Its a quality, honest business and I would never take my car anywhere else!

Had my muffler rust off from behind the converter. They inspected it all from the converter back and stated nothing was salvageable even my converter and gave me a estimate on paper of $1205.00😡I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH CAR X IN PLAINFIELD, IN.Work too hard for my money, to let a person with no Integrity take it!!!!Went to Ralph Mufflers and got all replaced from the converter back for $295.00 total😁 Yes my converter was good after they inspected it, now this is being honest. I will do more business with them and refer other people anytime for them!! What a blessing they were to me😊

Today I was trying to turn around to avoid nearby construction and my Pontiac got stuck in mud and got dug pretty deep. When a Good Samaritan couldn’t get me out by himself 7 or so of the mechanics at this shop didn’t even hesitate to come right out and push me out. I couldn’t push the car as I’m disabled and just had knee/hip surgery. The fact alone that they came out and risked falling in mud just to help a stranger with no money speaks volumes. I’ve also heard good things about the mechanics from acquaintances of mine. Thank you guys again.

Fit me in early and fixed my A/C before a road trip. Despite customers in front of me, they moved us through quickly and were done with my car in about 30 minutes. Reasonable price too, less than anywhere else that I called. Road trip was more bearable for my friend with health issues.

Ive visited the Plainfield, Car-X service center a few times in the recent years when visiting my wifes parents, bringing their cars in for service on almost every visit. I never write reviews but I feel compelled to do so after todays visit.Im extremely impressed with the professionalism, accurate knowledge and friendly service Ive received from Car-X. I live in California and only visit your service center when Im in Indiana, but I wish I could find a similar service center for my car in California. Keep up the excellent service!

Once again I have received great service from Car-X at Plainfield. Subaru battery died Friday evening. Took vehicle in Saturday morning and presto a new battery was installed in no time. My thanks to all!

Fixed my air conditioner. The oil change was short on fluids but they made it right by giving me a free oil change.Fast forward to April 2018. I needed a new condenser because it was leaking. They put a new one in and the air conditioning wouldnt work. They spent a couple of days trying to figure it out and did get it working for me. They didnt charge me for the extra time, parts, and labor. Very good men who work there and I highly recommend this business!

I live on the south side but I love this place. Michael always does my oil changes for me. If I have a mechanical issue they check it out for me and usually dont charge a thing for just looking at it.Pro tip, I dont read the fine print and as with most oil change places, they dont check the break fluid. Well, they dont fill the break fluid. They did check it for me because I had a light on and found it was low. I simply ran across the street and filled it up. Light went away. (Ps they accept Longs Donuts as tips lol)
