The service at this Plainfield facility on Route 59 near Caton Farm Road is excellent. Employees are all knowledgeable and friendly. Building has a clean, comfortable waiting room. Pricing is reasonable. They never do work you dont need, and I for one appreciate their honesty as does my wallet. Would highly recommend. Note: Do make an appointment for your work whether it is an oil change or other. The facility has such a high quality of customer service & care that they are always busy.

Brandon was amazing. Super sweet and cared. Just that is a feet in itself. Went through everything with me, never felt pressured and they were quick. Was quoted days from other places and they got it taken care of that day.

I’ve had my oil changed, tires rotated, battery replaced, and engine worked on here. I trust them completely for two very specific reasons:I had a part in my engine go bad (it would later be recalled) and took the car to Tim for the work. He said the part was on back order everywhere and could take a month or two to come in. I told him to place the order and I’d just have to wait. It turns out his supplier had been holding onto one of these rare parts and decided to give it, his only one, to Tim. I got my car back a few hours later. Tim has always been very friendly and personable with me, but this occurrence shows me that he is this way with everyone. That supplier knew it was a hard to get part and could have sold it to anyone, but he picked Tim as soon as he called. That tells me a lot.John helped me out one day with a door issue I was having. It was catching on the top of the back door. I had this problem previously and, left unchecked, it resulted it some pricy body work at another shop. He took a look at it, rammed a rubber piece back in with his hand, and sent me on my way. Problem solved, no charge. He easily could have took my car, tinkered around, and charged me for it. I would have had no idea what the problem was and just been happy it was fixed. Instead, he showed a tremendous amount of honesty and was more interested in helping me than charging me.I will always come here as long and Tim and John are around.

Finally I have my shop. I always hear people said they have a guy or shop for their car. For all these years I go from shop to shop, and never happy with any of them. A friend introduced me to this shop in 2019. I have been going there since then. They are truly honest people and they are patient and takes care of their customers.Just today, as I parked my car before I walked in the shop, I saw one of their stuff member were outside, under the hood of a car fixing something. I went inside and sit down. 5 minutes later the man came in and said to another man who sat in the waiting room, you are all set, you are good to go. The man asked how much, the Tuffy guy said, Dont worry about. Thats exactly the shop that I want to be in.If you are in the area, this is the shop you should go.

I visited Tuffy to have light bulbs replaced. The owner was very kind to me. They changed them quickly and were very fair and honest about the work. Ive had work done on my car by Tuffy many times and I would highly recommend them to everyone who needs their vehicles repaired.

Again Tuffys came through with amazing honesty! I took my sons 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a misfire code on cylinder 4. My son had tried to fix the misfire by changing the plugs and coils on all the cylinders. Well after he did the work it still had a misfire code on cylinder 4. He figured it must be a different problem. Tim worked on the car and quickly discovered that my son did not quite seat the coil on cylinder 4. Crazy coincidence! My point is.... this would have been an easy chance to claim something else was wrong. It would have been easy to claim it was something like the fuel injectors were bad because an air/gas problem could throw that code. But he didn’t, he simply seated the coil and told me the truth. I appreciate tuffys and Tim because this is not the first time they have been so honest with me! He was also very pleasant and thorough on the phone explaining what had happened. Great and honest service! You can really trust this place! Thanks so much Tim and great work ethic. I respect that.

This is far more the best auto repair service company that I’ve been to in all my years of driving . I’ve lived in the area for over 10 years and recently moved about and hour away. I still drive to Tuffy for my repairs reason being Tim and John have consistently went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and my truck was safe and repaired properly. They make me feel secure and feel safe driving, being a woman that knows nothing about cars . My jack had been misplaced due to me but when I called and asked if they could help me out there were no questions asked at all and he put my doughnut on in under 5 minutes. The guys here are very professional and know what there talking about and doing. I been going there for oil changes and other various issues Ive had with no problems. Recently I had my car towed in because it wouldnt start. It was diagnosed and came back that I needed a fuel pump and fuse block. I approved the repairs and the guys got my car running. I went to pick it up and moments later the engine light came on. I called them and tim told me to bring the car back and I did. They did figure out what was wrong but everytime I picked it up engine light would come on. So the last time I picked up the car the light didnt come on for 2 days so I call again and Tim says hes gonna find out who worked on my car and see what they did, that he would call me back. Its been a little over 2 weeks and I havent heard from Tim or no one there. I understand that there busy but I was expecting a call back.

If you are on a tight budget they will work with you to help you out and they will list all the repairs you need in order of importance. Over the years I have had all 5 of our cars and vans to this location. They are honest, respectful and compete the job on time. I do not spend a lot of time writing reviews because I just never been moved to do so for bad or great service... However, I wanted to express to Tim and his staff thank-you for all the years of wonderful service.

Absolutely the best service we could hope for! We found Tim and his team through a referral from a friend a few years ago. Their shop was 30 minutes from our house but we figured it was worth a try because of the referral. Its been over five years and we wouldnt take our cars anywhere else. Tim and his team are always professional, take time to explain things and offer an option if there is one, never overcharge and are reliable with estimates & when the vehicle will be done. Went to drop off my car for a tune up, as I called it in over the phone. Was promised it would be worked on right away. Went and grabbed coffee, came back an hour later to check on it. I was told it would not be done until the afternoon. I asked why he didnt tell me that earlier. Owner was rude and didnt care. Didnt try any way to help with my concerns. Horrible customer service and horrible people skills. More like 1/2 star rating. I took the car somewhere else.

Well over ten years experience with this shop and couldnt be happier. Tim and his staff are ALWAYS professional and answer all of my questions - even when Im clearly in need of extra explanation that would frustrate most. This month our truck needed repairs. Thinking it was not major, we let ourselves be swayed by a friend to have someone they know look at it - ONLY because we drive almost 45 minutes to get to Tuffy and the distance can get frustrating. (This will NEVER happen again.)When the guy told us it was going to be a major repair we ran it to Tuffy as quickly as we could. With my tail between my legs, and feeling incredibly guilty for having anyone else look at it to begin with, we left it with Tim and waited for the call. The repairs were pretty large. He did the entire repair for a very reasonable rate and got us tires at a great price, too. Tuffys pattern of quality business and professionalism proved true yet again.You cant put a value on being able to trust your mechanic. Their work means our safety. Tim and his staff know this - and continuously make the decision not to use that truth to extort people. There is never any unexplained or unnecessary repair work suggested or done. There has never been a service provided that hasnt been approved first. They have always been nothing but FABULOUS in every way.Through the years we may have spent enough to put a few children through college :), but in the end it has always been money well spent on NECESSARY quality service and wonderful people. Driving 40 minutes for an oil change is nothing when you look at the damage that can be done by trying to save some time with someone closer! Loyal for life!
