Great service, great work. Unfortunately I’ve been here more than once, but every time the work is great. Last time was for major hail damage. My GMC Yukon XL came out looking like new. Now only that, the truck was detailed inside and out. Tony and his crew do fantastic work. I would highly recommend.

The work seems good so far and they said has a warranty. Will tell over time. My complaint would be thier effort to resolve a problem. We took our car there as weve had work done at a differ gerber and liked the experience. They were kind and friendly but the negative are experience started on when they started playing games with timing and the work that had to get done. When they were going through the quote, they called back and found another 6000 in additional damages. Example, One item was a 700 light with a cracked tab. They said it had to get replaced because in a year or two, the tab would rot and it would fall out. Seems a bit scetchy and way to cash grab from our insurance. I get to replace to make it like new but I feel for people who are paying 100% out of pocket to be cornered into stuff they likely dont need. To tell me that the light would fall off due to rotten plastic is deceptive. Also, as our insurance wasnt 100% quick to respond on 3 of their added in quotes, they waits days and sometimes over a week to get a response. It moved because I called and talked to someone to move the quote. I kept telling gerber to pick up the phone and call but they said they preferred email. Well, if youre sitting on a car for 2 and a half weeks, have an upset customer, you would think you would do a bit more to get it moving. They were responsive to me, but frustrating that they wouldnt call insurance. When Id call, it would be a 10 mjn call and then miraculously, the quote was approved and forward they went. My final gripe, would be that theyre deceptive on their communication. My quote agent at gerber told me that theyre waiting on insurance to approve the final bill in order to release the car. what they didnt want to tell me, is they out in for more items into insurance but my quote agent said repeatedly the work is all done. Only for me to call and talk to someone else and they tell me my car is still apart. Why lie? All in all, ok, friendly staff, they did try to accommodate, but the deceptiveness and lack of urgency on the repair follow ups to keep things moving is why I gave it a 3 star. ID 033d4ac4

We selected this location for repairs based on the great reviews. Sadly, this was a very disappointing experience. The Manager initially walked around circling areas for repair and non-repair on our vehicle... saying pretty much nothing and then gave timeline for repairs and that the vehicle would be completely gone over and tested when completed. We did get very prompt text messages explaining the status and changes during the process. When the vehicle was ready, we immediately noticed that the hood was not even and there was space gapping on one side. That was immediately addressed and taken back to work on. After departing my wife noticed a shimmying and bouncing in the front end. We immediately called back and the manager admitted they never drove or tested it mechanically! Really? He agreed to bring it back and they would have to send it out as they do not complete mechanical repairs. That would have been nice to explain up front when we were told the vehicle would be completely checked out. We agreed and had to get yet another rental car. They had the car for another 3 days. When we called to see if they had heard anything from the shop they were sending it to, they admitted they never sent it anywhere... but kept insisting any damages non accident related would be on us. Then they went so far as to say that our vehicle was never in any type of speed accident. It was in fact hit at 45 mi per hour brakes applied impact. How unprofessional to make a judgement call and insinuate we dont know what type of accident our vehicle was in (we were in it!) and not follow through on sending the vehicle out for further checking. We absolutely did not feel safe knowing something else could have been knocked loose or worse. When we picked up the car it was covered in thick ice, no attempt at even having it ready. While my wife was scraping for quite some time, a polite technician did come out and offer to help her, but she declined. And if that is not enough ... a month later as we were driving at about 50 mph, a large plastic piece in the repair area flew out and started hitting the side mirror and body of our car! Must have never been glued in/down properly. Sorry Gerber, you dont get the great review we had hoped you would show you deserved.

Back to new. Quick and efficient collision repair. They were able to get my vehicle in quickly. Arrange with insurance for adequate sized rental car who even came to shop to pick me up. Gerber staff did an incredible job on the repair. Were through on fixing everything, and made sure it was all out back together completely. There have been no operating issues since pickup. Considering all the damage, I was very hesitant I would want the vehicle back, but still love every drive. Thanks Gerber!

Hard to imagine a better experience and service. This was the second time my Explorer was in for repairs (someone backed into us once and another rear-ended us this time). All of the work looks great and was done in the timeframe they originally quoted me. They arranged everything (rental car) and kept me updated throughout the repairs.What sets this apart however was the thoughtfulness on the first day. When I dropped my car off the estimator asked if my kids were in their car seats at the time of the accident. When I told him they were, he recommended we contact the insurance to get their seats replaced. Neither my wife or I had thought to ask this question. I contacted Erie and got new seats for my kids. I was blown away by a repair shop having this level of care. This was well outside the scope of repairs and what they were being asked to do. This was personal.A+. Could not recommend more highly.

I brought my car in because my passenger door was smashed in while my car was parked in front of my daughters house . The pizza delivery guys insurence paid to fix it. They delt with the insurance company n gave me a done date n it was done on time even tho the door they order ed came in damaged n had 2 order a second door. It looked great when i picked it up. An a plus was they detail the inside too. I highly recomend them. Thanks eddy n team

Fixed two cars here minor damage and the staff is very friendly and patient and the work is top notch. Ive come in both times through my insurance as they were not at fault fender benders but I dont know if I would come here out of pocket. I think there are placed that have cheaper prices for the work they did in both cases.

Ive had my vehicle repaired at Gerber Plainfield several times and the quality and service are second to none. I cant say enough about the experience from start to finish. Everyone I encountered was extremely helpful and sympathetic to my unfortunate situation; Tony the manager, Laura at the front desk and Eddie my service adviser. Ive never had any issues with the repairs but I know that if something did come up, Tony, Eddie or Laura would go above and beyond to assure things were taken care of. Thank you Gerber for getting me back on the road and making a bad situation (the accident) into a pleasant experience.

He was on time and went far far beyond My expectations . While he was working on my car Tony took me around the business to show me the operation and made me feel like family. While he was tending to another customer Laura at the front desk chatted me up like an old friend . I was offered coffee or a ride to anywhere that I would have liked to have gone . After the work was completed they even detailed my car inside and out .....Tom, the paintless dent removal guy was amazing ......thanks to all.

I was hit in the side of my vehicle with extensive damage. The paint work looks great so far, but numerous other issues still left unresolved. Have to make another trip to discuss all of the issues and then probably another trip for them to fix them. Would be nice to have it done the first time around.

Good service my car was hit by someone else tgey did a good job. Car rental was next door real convienient. I didnt pay anything due to insurance claim.only negative was car didnt run properly and check engine light came on they fixed the problem right away but not really sure what happened. Car is newer and ran perfect whdn i brought it in.

Does Gerber Collision & Glass discriminate based on a persons race?

Had front end damage on a Town&Country repaired here, The new hood had swirl marks on it, a bunch of paint drips under the hood. They burned up one of the power window regulators and refused to fix it. And now a few years later, my hood is already rusting. Do not go here if you want the job done right.
