I’m not even a fan of tea, but an iced London Fog (earl gray tea latte + honey + vanilla) was an excellent choice! We also tried an iced Car-A-Van latte (house cardamom rich syrup + vanilla + house spices), though we got it iced it gave the illusion of a warm fall beverage with all its spices. Both drinks were excellent.☕️ The barista was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the coffee they were serving and even recommended some other stops to see while visiting PA.They have a nice selection of merchandise to buy, such as: shirts, hats, and super cool mugs! 👏 Gotta represent the places that are good 👍😋Located right on the edge of downtown, this industrial style coffee house is a MUST-SEE, while you are in Pittsburgh. 🗺Only one negative: they have very limited parking. It’s in the city of downtown Pittsburgh, there’s really no parking anywhere! 😂😭

Excellent coffee and breakfast sammy with a cool vibe. I got an iced maple brown sugar latte with oat milk and the egg/spinach/tomato/cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. Great bagel with chew. Would recommend.

Gasoline Street Coffee was an adorable surprise (my husband picked it out.) The store is quaint and very carefully currated with old gas station memorabilia. My plain latte was excellent with very nice foam and lightly roasted espresso with honey-nut notes. In the corner is an old-fashioned elevator that is still in use. As well, there is outdoor seating, breakfast sandwiches made-to-order, and bags of coffee beans from Commonplace Coffee for sale. I would highly recommend this as a stop for tourists or a place to frequent as a Pittsburgh resident. (By: The Traveling Barista)

I adored this little coffee shop. The decor was so cool and unique, the guys behind the counter were incredibly friendly, and the iced mocha was very tasty. Its a hip little casual place that I highly recommend to those in or visiting Pittsburgh.

This place was lovely – I had a rich, creamy decaf oat milk latte (sometimes decaf can be meh when it comes to coffee but this was excellent!!) and my fiance had a london fog, which was extremely tasty. Friendly and pleasant service. Well be back!

If youre stuck downtown for an undetermined amount of time, this is the best place to be. The atmosphere and decor is industrial-cool with super comfy seats and an open patio. The matcha tea is great, but the best part is the super friendly barista.

Amazing pour over! Coolest atmosphere for a coffee shop Ive seen. You want to come here trust me. Chatted with the owner for a bit. Super awesome and welcoming. They have a super cool patio too for those sunny days. Very modestly priced. Many different unique sitting areas break up the space. All the furniture is very unique. Im coming back and you should too!

Pretty good lattes, super cute space. Not a huge amount of seating, but it certainly wasnt crowded on a weekday morning. Not much going on in the area around, but really close to the train stop.

This place might not be a hidden gem but its off the main downtown thoroughfare and surely slipped under my radar in its two years of business. I came looking for decaf, but instead left a bit overcaffeinated and happy I didnt pass on the nitro cold brew offered by friendly staff. It was excellent, as were the vibe, decor and music. Im not usually downtown during business hours but should I be again Ill definitely aim to have another visit in my plans.

Tucked away under the Liberty Bridge on First Avenue, this gem of a coffee shop was an answer to a work-from-home prayer! The staff are incredibly welcoming and hospitable and made me feel right at home. Sipping on a maple brown sugar seasonal latte - delicious! Great job, guys!!

The most important thing: the espresso was good. Several non-dairy options. Friendly service. Being close to Duquesne, the younger customers give the place a sense of vibrancy

We LOVE GSCC! Its definitely a hidden gem. I love supporting a local business. They have unique beverages (all amazing!), reasonable prices, and wonderful baked goods-get there early! They have comfy indoor seating, a few tables outside, and theres a quaint park nearby. Head there soon!

This coffee shop is a great hang out spot that has a great selection of coffee, frozen drinks, etc. They also carry a selection of baked goods from local bakeries that are fresh daily! I would recommend the Cold Brew, its delicious! Great local business!

Coffee tasted like gasoline

Nice little spot for coffee and breakfast (served until 1pm). Had the ham egg and cheese bagel sandwich and handmade lemonade. The bagel was hot and soft, making it easy and delicious to eat with the scrambled eggs that tasted wonderful. The lemonade was refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Also worth trying a cup of the hot apple cider. Prices are decent at about $2.50 for the lemonade and $6 for the bagel sandwich.

Super local feel and great service. Very clean and quiet. And the Oat Milk Latte was phenomenal! Highly recommend for a quick cup of coffee before work, or sitting with a friend.

Have a taste coffee and a chesse beagle. They helpful but need more staff. I understand is COVID-19.

Super interesting place. Kinda of in an odd part of downtown (near the First Ave T stop), but had a lot of charm with some really awesome decor. Coworkers and I went in there on a Monday around 2 p.m., so there wasnt much of a vibe, but thats no fault of the place. Regardless, our drinks were good and the barista was nice. Definitely want to check it out again.

Love this place! They are really friendly. One morning I walked in before they opened up and the guy informed me they were technically closed but he had just made drip coffee if I wasnt picky. The brewed drip coffee was one of the best cups of coffee I have had ever. I love coffee And have tried tons of places, but only a few have been this good. The service was great and friendly, and my husband got the maple brown sugar latte which was super sweet but also very delicious!

Very eccentric decor and creative coffee drinks. Iced vanilla mint coffee was good, pretty sweet. Americano left something to be desired. Juices/smoothies tasted very fresh and balanced. Would definitely return!

Gasoline street was a hidden gem we found on First Ave n we loved it . Not just great coffee but the space has a real New York vibe. We had a great breakfast sandwich n then hung around just to listen to the wonderful music. It is now on our list of the best coffee in Pittsburgh. Just stopped in for a to-go cup of drip coffee. Reasonable prices in what seems like a great atmosphere. I’d like to come back when I have more time and try their other specialty coffee and food.

Gasoline Street Coffee is close to where I work, so I visit fairly regularly, especially when I need an afternoon pick-me-up. The decor is a cool mix of vintage filling-station and local art, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is always on-point. They also sell good breakfast sandwiches through the lunch hour, as well as Southside pretzels and a nice little selection of tasty pastries from 350 Bakery. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Definitely a great place to stop in and relax.

Was out and about downtown and wanted to find a hot drink somewhere unique - Gasoline Street Coffee did not disappoint! The atmosphere was awesome, lots of antiques and stylistic touches that made it feel like a hipster mechanic shop. The plain coffee was very flavorful and there were a lot of.unique drink options. I got Midas Touch, a lemon ginger tea with coconut milk and boy was it delicious. The shop seems a bit out of the way but its definitely a worthwhile place to fuel up.

Ive only been in Pittsburgh for an hour, and i already found my favorite coffee shop. GSC is awesome. Great coffees, friendly staff, cool atmosphere, a giant garage door that opens for light and air, and a nice little patio.Good pretzels too.

I hope everybody has a coffee shop in their lives like I have with Gasoline Street Coffee Company. Its funky while still being comfortable, quiet while still feeling energetic, and inexpensive while not being cheap. If your life ever takes you down to the extreme southern end of the Golden Triangle (right near the Allegheny County Jail), I highly recommend you stop by for an ideal coffee shop experience.

Their cold brews are A+++++.

I never realized this coffee stop was right off the trail! Now I have a mid-ride stop for cycling around town, and a rendezvous for starting on the GAP Trail towards Cumberland MD.A variety of seating options to relax solo, or meet with friends or for business, this place is how I image a coffee shop should be. The staff was super friendly, and not hyped up on coffee, two pluses.

Came in and tried to sit down for a bagel and coffee, after putting in my order I was made aware I could not park a motorcycle in their lot. I really didnt want to have to pay for parking to enjoy a coffee, and coffee isnt good on motorcycles so I had to just go with the bagel. The entire time I was there it felt like they were glaring at me. The cashier was speaking with another customer so not as to interrupt, I tried to let the nice lady making my bagel know I would need it to go instead. That caused the cashier to intervene like I was going to attack her staff.Idk maybe it was just this specific incident, but I didnt feel welcome at all. I just wanted a coffee. I got the impression of regulars only and also with the floor plan, dont move because I can see you from the guard tower/cash register. I really dont expect much from coffee shops, except coffee, so if the impression in my mind is just to not go back after the first visit, thats bad service.

I’m generally a Starbucks loyalist, but since I work nearby at the Municipal Courts Building I decided to give this place a whirl yesterday. I ordered a shot of espresso and bought a blueberry muffin and oatmeal cream whoopie pie.The espresso was unique. It didn’t give me the immediate kick I get from Starbucks, but I definitely felt refreshed and rejuvenated a few hours later. The pastries?! Divine! Fresh. Moist. Amazing!I saw they do breakfast sandwiches up until 2 PM and was disappointed I missed out because I got there at 3. Maybe next time!UPDATE:I have now become a regular at Gasoline Street. I LOVE their loyalty punch cards. Their mochas (iced or hot) really hit the spot for me, and their sandwiches?! Scrumptious (pro tip: ask for it to be made on a pretzel bun!) The staff is great, too! They do offer a discount for city (and maybe other?) workers, but I generally don’t ask for or mention discounts at mom-and-pop businesses.

I had a great nitro cold brew and enjoyed the convenience of the location, as there was essentially no other businesses in the area. Nicely renovated industrial space. Not cheap, but great quality which is a trade off I dont mind.

I may not have fully explored everything the place had to offer, but I find it very convenient for days that Im making first appearances in front of a magistrate; Ill take the client here for a caffeine fix to get us through our wait in the courtroom (magistrate hearings are usually something of a cattle call).
