The black bean burger was delicious! Waited about 15 min to get it but it was during lunch time and there were a lot of people here. Other than that the food was great!

These days they can’t turn out a sandwich in less than 40 minutes. Especially on weekends, this place is insufferable. It’s been over an hour and I’m still waiting on an order. The food is mediocre to boot. But the strawberry lemonade is good at least. Bring your own straw.

Just don’t even eat here honestly. Worse than airplane food, very inconsistent, and honestly just downright disgusting sometimes.

Fast and good food. The indoor seating is not well lit so go outside when its warm! :)

My sandwich was never freaking hot

The price is the only saving grace. Nearly no Vegan options expect the one day a week they have a 12 veggie soup. Ive frequently found hairs in my product (that are definitely not mine, given the length). Service can take a while even during down times. Get food from somewhere else.

This is not a generalization of all Au Bob Pains. My review is specific to the one located inside Carnegie Mellon. The staff are far more interested in partaking in their own gossip (or whatever it is that they talk about) than serving customers. I must point out that they are not rude or anything, but they simply dont care about running the store.

Takes at least 15 minutes to make an ungrilled grilled cheese. Which is also supposedly classic but different each time.Never go doing popular times. That grilled cheese will take 30 minutes or more.Only nice thing is how absolutely huge the fountain drinks are.

Sometimes hit or miss but when the its good its good. The sandwiches can be unbelievably crunchy and tasty. Good value for meal blocks too

Takes about 25-30 minutes to get a warm sandwich like warm chicken and avocado. This repeatedly happens and is the norm. After 4 times. No More. They are just too slow. I am very dissatisfied with their speed.I asked why and they say that they only have 2 small ovens and thats the reason for delay for warm sandwiches. Then fix the bottleneck? If you want warm sandwich and want it in less than 20 min, do not go here.Next time, I am either getting a cold sandwich or a to-go prepared sandwich.

For what it is, abp is a decent place to eat at. Even though their sandwiches do get repetitive, its variety, convenience, and pastries makes it probably the best place to get lunch at. Theres always 8 soups ready to grab and cookies and pastries everywhere. Honestly the food isnt bad, but the wait is the worst part. Some times Ive had to wait 20 just to place my order and pay. There definitely needs to be a better way to check out.

Its alright. Lines depend heavily on time of day, and service depends heavily on which employees are working. Some are super nice and efficient, while others forget parts of the food I ordered.

Love the Thai Peanut Salad here. Its a nice place to finish homework given how close its to Gates. Used to get lunch here before heading to class.

The slowest service Ive had anywhere. Food is significantly more expensive than its worth and staff is not the most competent. Right now Im waiting in line behind 20 other people and there is one cashier. İts unacceptable how bad and slow they are for how much were paying.Edit: everything about this place sucks. Their credit card machines dont work properly, they dont even stand upright? I once had a machine fall to the ground while I was trying to pay and had to wait for a good ten minutes. Also whats up with their pastry boxes that dont keep their shape? Like I couldve gotten a bag and it would be the same...

Service is always spotty and I have never had a check out staff member who was in a good mood, let along concerned with customer service. Quick and easy place to get some soup after a cold walk across campus.

Do not eat here. Most disrespectful and rude employees. I went to order a sandwich and the employee looked surprised that I expected them to work. There wasn’t even anyone in line. Then after taking my slip to pay for the over priced sandwich, I get handed the 2 pieces of flat bread with a piece of cheese. I went to the counter where the horrible staff wouldn’t even let me speak on what the issue was. I wasted my whole lunch break and didn’t even get my sandwich or my money back. Don’t eat here!

Its ABP. U get what u get, this one is pretty stocked, has veggie options, next no no vegan options. Employees are nice:)

I really want to like it here because the food is pretty good quality but the sandwich/salad making takes FOREVER and, even when theyre not busy, they usually get the order wrong (receipt says No Field Greens, so dont put them on there!), Cold iced coffee is almost always empty if you go after 3pm, soups are almost ALL vegetarian options and repeated a lot and the layout is such that there is nowhere to stand while you wait 20 minutes for your sandwich without being in someones way. A few minor fixes and this place could be awesome. As it is, meh.

Although CMU dining in general could use some improvements, Au Bon Pain is the top of the crop.

Popular among students in CMU, but the prices are expensive for the product which theyre serving. Not my first choice (nor second choice really) of food in CMU.

Full service Au Bon Pain inside CMUs Cohon Center on rhe 2nd floor. Great soups, sandwiches, and pastries. Open to anyone, you dont have to be a CMU student/staff to eat here. Nice staff and good seating too.

Most of the staff seem like they couldnt care less about serving you. Also the convoluted buzzer system doesnt work if nobody is around to take your order. Good food, really lazy customer service overall.

Very good for students to grab a meal on the go.

The CMU ABP is the worst one out there. Stay away.

Roast beef sandwich extra meat

I rarely go here. On my most frequent visit I stood in front of the counter and waited to be helped for 5+ minutes. It wasnt busy and the employees werent occupied helping other customers. When it is busy, however, they somehow pull it together and get people out of there in the same time as when its dead.

Abp is my favorite place to eat on campus! Good prices and good food

The spinach and cheese croissant is to die for. Unfortunately I though Panera bought the company and closed this location and the one on Sixth Ave. Across from the Heinz building.

The caesar salad are great and so is the bread, but I had a wrap order messed up and the coffee isnt my favorite

Slow regardless of the time, crowded and hard to navigate. Messed up an order so badly that it was inedible, and since I had just waited 30 minutes to order I didnt even have time to ask for a refund.
