Love this place. Great selection, fair prices, friendly staff. Just the cutest little bookstore chugging along in a tech-overloaded, digital world. Im so glad to see it thriving. Awesome collection of older books as well. Love it!

Beyond Bedtime Books is my favorite bookstore because it always has a feels like home vibe when you walk through the door. Within walking distance of my home, I often stop in to see which author box Ill be drawn to. Also a great place to pick-up a gift for anyone youre shopping for. They also sell beautiful greeting cards at the register. Gems like this Shop survive because people consistently think SHOP LOCAL.

I absolutely love this book store and try to support her before going elsewhere. Jamie is an absolute jem and will always do her best to get you the book that you are looking for. She will also assist in making suggestions in books to read, if your are unsure.

Stepping into this bookstore is like entering a magical world. There is a large selection of books in so many different categories, it’s very organized and the owner, Jamie, is passionate about her work, friendly and always willing to make a recommendation. Check it out once and you will yearn to return again and again.

A gem to the neighborhood. I walked out with 3 novels and 2 field guides and it was under $30. The owners are very kind and helpful. Highly recommend supporting this local shop.

As soon as you walk into the bookshop, they make you feel so comfortable! The place has such a cozy vibe with a very large variety of books to browse, newer and older. I will definitely be stopping back... more than once :)

This is such a good bookstore. I always try to support local over going to Amazon or B&N if I can and this store did not disappoint. We found a ton of good childrens books for our upcoming child to read when theyre old enough and found a ton of books for ourselves as well. You could easily spend hours in the store just exploring and finding gems and treasures of books.

Was at the location on 5/17/21with a friend. The two workers spoke in a loud tone about “the two girls in the back” and said some embarrassing and rude things about us. We were the only people in the store at that time. I’ve read nothing but wonderful reviews about this place, however the lack of respect I was shown made me never want to patronize this location, nor can I recommend to friends.

Proprietor was very kind and interested in what I was looking for and had purchased. The selection was top as well, with multiple editions of most of the big name classics. Wish I had more time to browse. Will return. Thanks!

I called and asked if they had a certain hard to find book series needed for a little girls birthday gift, which she did. When I arrived, the owner was there and she spoke with me about all of the books and actually helped me to choose the best ones for my particular situation. She knew every detail about every book in the pile! It was so great to speak with somebody who shares the same passion for the story books that I was getting. She has a lot of books, well organized. The shop is absolutely cute on entry, and there is a childrens reading area downstairs. The price is good. If you want books from a lady who knows her stuff and cares about reading and fair prices, then go there.

Kudos for independence and Beyond Bedtime Books is a bibliophiles treasure trove. Give yourself time to poke around and find books you were not looking for and the ones you were. Customer satisfaction is #1 and if you dont see it, ask and they will find it.

This place is a diamond in the rough in Dormont, a classic bookstore that has whatever you need. If they dont have it, they will get it in for you. Do yourself a favor and skip Amazon/Barnes&Noble, pay a visit to Beyond Bedtime Books and support your local business!

My son and I have made a tradition of enjoying breakfast down the road from “Beyond Bedtime Books” on Saturdays (we go to the Dor Stop, by the way). Two weeks ago, we broke with tradition and decided to hang around this quaint area in Dormont; we wanted to see what it had to offer (we live in Mt. Lebanon, and it has a similar area with numerous small businesses). I know—get to the point! Well, this little book store, which was filled to the clouds with books (yet organized), just made my day. It was so refreshing to be in a store without any electronic devices with the sole exception of the owner’s phone and credit card attachment to process orders. With all of that in mind, what struck me the most was what all businesses should strive for: an owner with an exceptional knowledge of the product and a level of enthusiasm for what she does that just screams, “I haven’t worked a day in my life!” By the way, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if she’s read every book in the store! I failed to mention what’s arguably the most important thing that accompanied my visit: an owner with a genuinely friendly disposition who doesn’t mind making the time to talk to her customers on a personal level.I told her that one of my favorite books was ”A Walk in the Woods” by Bill Bryson, and that I wished I could find a similar book—one that was not only very well-written, but equally hilarious. Without pause, Jamie hastily made her way around the store, clearly knowing where the books that would satisfy my appetite were located. Minutes later, I had five books in my hand! I left with another Bill Bryson book, and it hasn’t disappointed. As an aside, I’m so glad my college-aged son was with me because as someone who also desires to be a business owner/entrepreneur post-college, he witnessed firsthand what makes a business successful for the long haul: the people. If you’re a business owner who wants to improve it in some way or another, stop in to “Beyond Bedtime Books”. Think about it: if someone can build a book store that can thrive in a world with virtual giants like Amazon, they’re not only doing something right, but something very special.

Increabible little jem of a place. I always find something very interesting to read when I walk into here. I dont know how but like magic, I will be thinking of something Ive been meaning to read up on and there is the perfect book right there on the shelf as if it was waiting there for me the whole time for that exact moment. Ive never had a bad experience here. You should check this place out if you havent already. 2 thumbs up!
