Great place to purchase any book you can imagine! Organized clean and friendly….the only down side is you make nothing off of selling to them! I took two large totes of books, Blu-ray’s,and cds (new seal tv series) etc more than 100 and only took home $7 even though they wanted everything that I brought in! Great place to shop though!

One of the final brick n mortar bookstore hold-outs, but despite the market prospects this store is standing tall and proud. A meticulously organized healthy hodgepodge of topics and titles in a smart & simple layout thats effortless to navigate. Super friendly and helpful staff, which itself should merit 5 stars in this quasi post-pandemic period were in (of thats what were calling this). Respect. 🤜🤛

GREAT store to buy and sell books!! They have an AMAZING selection of great quality, like new books (a lot are) for every reader!!! They also have a wonderful selection of like new/new other goodies such as gifts, stationary, mugs, moon lamps, CDs, records, childrens interactive items, you never know what you will find!!! Everything is reasonably priced well. This place is also a great place to sell your used books! I sold mine the other day and walked out with almost $80.00 in cash!!

Always loved this store. The ambiance is very relaxed. They have a little bit of everything. I tell a lot of friends about them. Only negative comment is the prices have really gone up. But still less than youd pay in a typical book store. So much to discover here.

Definitely the best bookstore in the Pittsburgh area. They have a huge selection of books from a variety of different genres that can quell the thirst of reading for any booklover. The store also contains a decent selection of movies/tv shows too. One of the things they could improve on is being more varied in their tv show prices. Everything hovers around $10 even when it should be less or a little more. Same with their movies.

Great place to find new reads at a cheap price. Massively selection. I always find something good here to add to my bookshelves. Wouldnt recommend giving your books here as they give you next to nothing. The shopping is where its at.

More like full price books, half price service. Not entirely their fault though, because Im not sure they have much control over their inventory. The pulp paperback selection is good, though.

The selection of books was fantastic. It was organized by category and alphabetical, so easy to follow and find what you are looking for. I also got some non book items as well that Im excited to use. My friends mostly got fiction and I got non fiction. Ill definitely be coming back and exploring other books and subjects.

Manager is exceptionally rude and confrontational. One of the employees actually apologized to me for their managers behaviour before I left the store. That is extremely sad. I will stick to the Monroeville location from now on even though it is a further drive.

Best half priced book location we have been to in Pittsburgh. We are clearance section shoppers, and their clearance section is always loaded with great finds. We have also found a plethora of reasonably priced new books at this location that we haven’t found at some other locations. If you are looking for a great price on books, swing by!

They have a great selection of books dvds cds records and board games.

The amount they offer to buy books for is pretty insulting considering they have no problem gouging people on their listing prices. 👎 I recommend Facebook Marketplace, Amazon, eBay, or just donate them to Goodwill.

I brought in a stack of new cds and books and they offered me $3. they will rip you off here. avoid at all costs. facebook market place and mercari are places you can sell your own items and actually get what they’re worth.

Always a great place to find a book you didnt know you wanted

Who doesnt love a good bookstore? The staff are doing an excellent job keeping everyone as safe as possible and still working hard to get through all the drop offs.

I took in about 20 books and movies and they gave me $3 for all of them!!!! They have a nice selection but they buy used books and movies and then sell them for wayyyyy more than the price they pay you for them, way more than triple the price! Ridiculous and such a rip off!! The money they give you doesnt even cover the gas to get there.

This is one of my favorite book stores in Pittsburgh. The selection of books is good, the staff is nice and helpful, and its hard find better deals on books. I have been back to this place many times, and I always walk out with more books than I first intended to buy.

We like supporting used bookstores like half price to promote recycling resources and to generate a greater interest in literacy. The staff are friendly and helpful. Sales are really good too. It would be nice if they paid more for selling books and such but I understand the need to cover overhead especially when sometimes they have sales with major discounts. They take a risk every time they buy something so I get it. This location has a great selection and one can often find real gems that might be hard to find at least for a reasonable price.

Theyre a little expensive for used books, but they have an extensive, well-organized selection. Their process for selling used books is also really easy and convenient. We dropped off a box and duffel bag of books. They priced them out while we shopped, and then gave us a receipt for store credit or cash. Couldnt be easier.

There should be more places like this. The staff is friendly and knows their stuff. If they cant help you, they will either find someone who will or straight up drop what theyre doing and Google it. The book selection is great and diversified. The prices seem honest for what you get. They run some frequent deals where I find myself buying more than I can read.Overall a great place to stop by and have an actual book buying experience without feeling like youre being extorted for your money (Im looking at you Barnes & Noble)

This is the greatest place on earth for book readers. Found several old hardcover books that I collect. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful cant wait to come back.

A good place to get rid of books but dont expect even reasonable compensation. Money cant be your motivation. I brought a number of books and at least two of them were rare and comps on line for just one was at least five times the total they gave me. I didnt care. I just want someone who want the books to find it.

Great place! Me and my brother visit almost every other weekend. They have tons of books for great prices too! Some books even down to $2.99. I recommend stopping by if you have a chance.
