Stopped by to put air in my tires and was disappointed when the card reader on the machine wouldn’t work. I managed to scrounge up quarters to get the air going, but even after putting in the $1.50, the air still wouldn’t turn on. Tried to go inside and talk to someone only to find the doors locked. As I returned to my car, I watched a truck pull up and the doors to the station were opened for someone getting out of the truck. I really don’t recommend this station as they are perfectly content stealing your money.

The guy who ran the register is pretty rude, doesnt talk much, and will let you wait at the counter for 3-5 minutes. When Im in a hurry and just want a quick snack and drink thats frustrating. I prefer chevrons because they have friendlier staff and quicker service. This place is run down on the inside and could really use a revamp, not to mention their sketchy gift shop that takes up over half the store. I feel that space could be better ultilized for things that are actually helpful.

My tire went to low pressure and I pulled over to check it out. The attendant was really nice and turned on the air for free. When I went to fill my tire the air had leaks in multiple places so I was unable to check the pressure or fill the tire. I told the attendant and he said yeah he knew because everyone told them that it was broken and leaking air. Great, so fix it! California law requires gas stations to provide air and water - it’s a public safety issue so motorists are not on the roads with flat or low pressure tires!

They are out of compliance with ADA regulations. They deny the use of the restroom, even to individuals with disabilities. Dont go there expecting to buy something and then use the restroom like you can at most places. If you are from out of town like I was, they dont even care. You are just SOL if you dont live there and need to use the restroom. Also, the individual working there on 10/3/20 at 12:40 PM was incredibly tacky and trashy looking. Not a great customer service experience.

Going south on 101, the access, though through town, is easier than the map shows. Getting back on, like getting in and out of the station, is 26-foot truckable. My friend did the filling as I just sat in the truck. In spite of that, I consider that my always desired stop at Pismo Beach.

Consistently out of receipt paper. Most times I get gas here after the lil shop has closed, making it impossible to obtain a receipt for my records (very important). Will update rating when I notice they are actually doing this basic task that should be pretty easy to stay on top of. Prices here are 65 cents more than my usual station in SLO, so I think its fair to expect better maintenance than what they are providing...

Just stopped in at 11 PM for a bit of gas and because my grade schooler needed a bathroom stop. the attendant behind the counter was super friendly, which was the last thing I expected so far out of town so late at night.

The fact I come here almost daily I start to see a difference in treatment. Their best employee is mark he is always so welcoming and friendly. I wish I can say the same for the other two gentlemen by far worst service. Smart like attitude and really seems like they hate their job. If it wasn’t for mark I probably would not come there.

This gas station is pretty good its got everythingGas and oil, snacks soft drinks you name they even have a souvenir shop. I think your best bet. Is shell gas @ the Spyglass Ext in shell beach

Why don’t they have a restroom? What happens if we all need to go very bad? That is so inconvenient, they should have thought about making a restroom before they opened that place up

Happy to find gas as need to fill up before heading home. Gas was almost one dollar more per gallon than home, but it is Christmas week travel after all.

Nice gas station with fairly clean bathrooms. My car (and my kids) enjoyed the fuel stop :-)

Shell Beach is an incredible place. Small strip of town to enjoy. Cliffs and beaches to walk.

Regardless of any other reviews that dont pertain to prices I offer you this: I have lived within .2 miles from this station for 38 years and have found their prices to always be the highest prices in San Luis Obispo County with the exception of the last station before entering the Big Sur Coastline. They are usually .10 to .30 per gallon higher than other Shell Stations in the area. More often than not, they raise their prices on the weekend, especially during the summer and if its a holiday weekend...forget about it. They are usually at least .50 to .60 per gallon more than the lowest price in the area. I have only bought gas there 3 times in 38 years and 2 of those were for a gas can to use for my lawn mower. Their prices are shameful. I cant honestly speak to other aspects of their station and service because I wont contribute one penny to their price gouging profits.

Pretty typical for a Shell station. Restrooms are in need of a good deep cleaning and restocking.

No public restrooms access after getting fuel or shopping in store. Fuel price higher fuel prices than normal, recently updated led sign.

Clean and friendly station with a decent selection of food and drinks inside.

Girl who was working there said I gave her a $10 bill and not the $20 that I did. She refused to give me my change and basically stOle my money. Skip this place and go to another store.

So overly expensive....they get away with it because of their location. Had to because HAD to get gas. Would never return again by choice. Even with my Ralphs Rewards it was more expensive than other Ventura, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria locations.
