We look forward to RSD every year and get there early to pickup limited titles. This place is a longtime valley small business and is definitely worth stopping in!!!

Really awesome record shop ran by super cool people. Great selection of old records, cds, books about music, with lots of neat signed posters hanging as decorations. I got a “grab bag” of 5 mystery CDs for $5 and it was a fun way to introduce me to some music I never would have picked out on my own! Definitely recommend shopping at and supporting this wonderful place!

I ordered a bluetooth record player for Christmas but Stinkweeds ran out. In fact, online sellers and big box stores were all out during the holidays. Lindsay said not to worry she would take my name and call me when it came into the store. She did. I was able to deliver my nieces Christmas gift as soon as Stinkweeds received the item and at the same price, despite online sellers jacking up the price to reflect the shortage and increased demand. For decades, Stinkweeds has delivered honesty, great service, and cool music. Thank you for always being there!

Independent Record Stores are my U.S. Cathedrals to visit. I am only interested in Alternative and Classic rock. So I am looking for Hope Sandovals Until the Hunter or Rapemans Two nuns and a pack mule. Not necessarily first pressings, but the pressing I would have bought when I was listening to that album or tape. I have been buying vinyl since I joined the Columbia Record Club around 1978. I worked in record stores off and on in Milwaukee, WI through the cd de-evolution from 1988 to 1994. Stinkweeds is tricky to park at, watch out for the Portlandesque drive thru line a Dutch Brothers Coffee (F***ing kidding me?). Much deeper selection of current alternative compared to Revolver or Tracks on Wax. I would choose this and Groove In before those two if time is limited. Purchases that day were: Swans to be kind, Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros Global A Go-Go, T-Rex Tanx, The Microphones the Glow pr. 2, Mogwai a wrenched virile lore, Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions until the hunter, Rapeman two nuns and a pack mule, Chelsea Wolfe Abyss, M. Ward hold time, Tom Waits bad as me. Worth a stop indeed.

Helpful staff and great selection. The nature of record hunting makes it a given you will find more or fewer used gems on any given trip.Stinkweeds is perhaps the most selective place in town for quality. This is the only used store that Im ALWAYS happy with the quality. If you want to check they have no problem letting you open a used album up, but if it doesnt say something like light scratches on the front, the quality is probably really good or most likely perfect. They always stock the new albums and re-releases I want, and cater to a wide range of music tastes, and mine is very eclectic.Lots of tickets for most of the best shows around town that arent at a casino. Ticket sales are cash only.My favorite record store. Great quality for the old gems you are looking for and great selection for all the new releases.

As the rise of digital media continues, stores like this continue to disappear. They have a huge collection of records and cds. They are a little more expensive than buying online, but its nice to support a local business when you can . The interior is hip and trendy (probably just dated myself), and the customer service is nice and consistent. Every once and while they have live bands play in the back, and if youre lucky, it will be catered by Short Leash Dogs!
