This place has great freshly made donuts. You request anything on the wall and they make it right in front of you. I havent seen this type of freshly made donuts anywhere else I have been. The donuts are amazing and have a different taste because they are so fresh. While the donuts and atmosphere were good, prices were a bit high. It was $2.50 for each donut, and the donuts are relatively small. I think a $1.50 to $2.00 price point would be more justified.

This donut shop is amazing! The store is clean and you are greeted immediately upon entering the store which is great. The menu items are diverse with sweets from specialty donuts to shakes to ice cream. Recommend this place if you would like made to order and delicious treats. They sell Big Red’s hot sauce, and even let us try a maple bacon hot sauce donut with the hot sauce! Which, if you’re wondering, is absolutely phenomenal! 10 out of 10, definitely give this place a try!!

This place has the best doughnuts ever. I’m pregnant and I was asleep dreaming about eating the powdered raspberry jelly filled doughnut and so naturally I rolled out of bed, threw on my slippers and drove 20 minutes to get half a dozen! They are so good you’ll dream about them. Literally.

I just found this place a month ago. I try and take my kids every sunday. I really dont like donuts. I will not eat crispy creme, dunkin donuts and others like it. Visiting from out of state my kiddo said this place was the best and she was right! Warm soft fresh delicious made to order doughnuts! So many flavors it’s hard to decide! Quality ingredients and the doughnuts are made fresh in the shop! Endless toppings and boba teas like crazy! Fun shop for all ages. Owners/staff very friendly also. prices were great also! Found this place by looking for ice cream! They now have ice cream, gelato and boba tea. The donuts are fantastic and not made (cooked) until you order them. We got a dozen. Maple bacon, chocolate with sprinkles, lemon bar, cinnamon bun and Bavarian cream. Fantastic. Will be back. The new owners have only been there 6 weeks, so give them a chance.

Stopped in to Desert Donuts for the first time to see what they had. The owner welcomed us and went through menu, the secret menu, and some other options and had us pretty much ready to buy the shop. We settled on #TheCarlton and #Cookiemonster. The donuts a made fresh to order and taste Amazing! Its a little far for us but were glad we were out that way that day.

Absolutely the best donuts Ive ever had. Everything is freshly hand made. The creative flavors are fantastic. We had peanut butter cup, buckeye, apple pie, banana cream pie, churro, and banana bread.

Stopped in after dropping off a passenger around here and had no clue where I was at. Was coming in for a ham and cheese croissant but to come and realize this was not your ordinary donut shop. Was welcomed at the register where they explain how they do thing and was excited to try this out. They basically prepare a hot donut for you with whatever kind of toppings you want for it, or choose one others creations. I went with their Bavarian cream, because it looked so good. They then run it down to prepare for you. This donut was piping hot, it was so fresh. I waited for it to cool down and omg it was delish!! Dont know if Ill be back here since I live by Westgate but if I am around I sure will.

Had the Deluxe bowl. Toppings were precooked. Not very tasty. My Chunky Monkey donut was made in a hurry. Overall presentation was not good at all. Both employees did not have a cheerful welcoming attitude. There faces said it all!

While on vacation we looked at local restaurants to visit that were popular with locals not tourists. Desert Donuts was highly regarded. They have a wide range of amazing donuts. Whats better is that they are made right in front of you. The donuts were amazing. However, the best part of the experience was the amazing staff. They were friendly, funny, and very personal. A few regulars came in while we visited and everyone on the staff was involved with apparent on-going conversations. We WILL be returning to this amazing restaurant. Thank you Desert Donuts.

We searched Google for a place with donuts and coffee on our route and this place popped up. We went in just for a couple of coffers and a couple of donuts and ended up with coffee, boba teas, and donuts - almost twice what we came in for. The donuts are AMAZING. Individually freshly made as ordered and bursting with flavor - all sorts of toppings and fillings and even custom made. The toppings were very generous in quantity and he was happy to put it all on - and then some! Steve, the new owner is friendly and happy to try new things for you - he was so generous! We ended up purchasing a couple of hot sauces that he markets for someone else - there is a tasting table for it; they are pretty hot! If we come back this way (my family is plotting our route back to go this way on the return), we would definitely stop in again!

This place was great. Very large selection of cool donuts with quality ingredients. All of their donuts are cake donuts, so not the fluffy yeast kind. They as re very hearty and heavy and have an awesome selection of toppings. The inside is verywelcoming and has a good modern atmosphere. All the donuts are made to order so for half a dozen I had to wait a few minutes. Ill for sure be back to try more flavors and their breakfast bowls!

This is not your average donut shop. Picking donuts here is a lot of fun. Essentially, all donuts are your standard ring-cake type variety and you pick an icing from the list, plus a topping. This means that there are hundreds of possible combinations and the donuts are still warm when ypu eat them.The coffee is pretty good too.Picing is reasonable at $10 USD for a half dozen (or $2 each). Theres plenty of parking and seating and disabled access is good.The donuts can get extremely sticky so youll need get wipes. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! They dont make the donuts until you order them and you can get them with any toppings you want. They have a menu of fan favorites to help you decide what youd like as well. The maple bacon donut is mind-blowing! They also have gelato, sorbet, ice cream and boba tea. I had a boba tea with passion fruit and it was really refreshing. I highly recommend Desert Donuts, they are so much better than the other places in town.

This used to be one of the best kept secrets of North Phoenix. My review used to be 5 stars raving about the superior quality and selection of Desert Donuts. Now new ownership has taken over and traded the delicious Thrifty Ice Cream, for a very sub par Blue Bell. They have noxed the Boba tea from their menu which was one of my favorite items to get. And they have also included promoting some hot sauce in their store as well. The donuts were certainly similar to those of old, but there is a notable step down in qulaity, with the donut seemingly ready to disintegrate under the minimal toppings. The new owners lack basic customer service basics, and come off as very stand offish and rude. The shift from quality driven to profit driven is evident and quite sad. The death of the real Desert Donuts is a sad one, and one that will not soon be forgotten.

Miss the boba and bubble teas. The only reason I went there. You guys call it mediocre but it’s trendy and you attract the younger people with the boba and bubble teas. Plus it’s not a lot of ingredients or time to make them. Cheap and easy to make to make an easy buck, why get rid of it?? To many ice cream shops to be honest. What makes you more special than the other 100 popular ice cream shops?? Oh and don’t reply to this if you are going be rude about it I don’t care about your award winning ice cream and outstanding hot sauce.. hot sauce and ice cream lol sounds like a joke.

I used to love this place but I haven’t been back since I found out they no longer sell the boba tea. Ice cream is a bit overrated in my opinion and since they got rid of the tea, it’s not worth my time going back.

GO HERE NOW! The donuts are amazing, cooked to order, and served warm. The new owners are super nice and have added new items to their menu (boba tea) which was delicious too. To top it all off it is so reasonably priced! Donuts like these would cost 5 bucks in Seattle or Portland and dont taste as good. Love this place and the people running it.

Been here on serval occasions and each time Ive been very happy with the quality of service and the donuts. Staff has been super friendly and helpful, and the donuts are delicious. Just purchased a classroom worth of donuts for my sons birthday, and Desert Donuts executed on it flawlessly, and on short notice. The to go Donut shop in 85085!

Visiting the area and decided to swing by this Donut place close to 5pm today 11/18/19 to get me a donut and a drink. It is very comfortable inside, and the gentleman working at the counter was beyond amazing, friendly, and welcoming. This place is definitely recommended for delicious donuts and five stars customer service.

This place was great they have a variety of exotic donuts. I tried the snickers donut it was delicious. I will stop by again whenever I do a trip up north.

Visiting my mother in-law for the week and saw this place and wanted to stop by. The reviews are spot on, donuts are melt in your mouth good and the owner of this place was so friendly. I know Ill be back when I visit and I know my mother in-law will be back sooner.

Ive been here once before they changed management. Still delicious donuts and good customer service. One thing Id recommend is grab lots of napkins. Theyre extremely sticky and messy depending on what you order.

Super disappointed with my recent visit. The girl that helped me was awesome, super sweet to my son, but heard that its under new ownership and could feel the difference. It wont be the same without the essence of the original owner and the memory of his son will be lost with the new owner. Donut was good but probably wont ever go back. 😔

Holy moly! So good! I remember my grandma making delicious, fluffy, cake donut holes with a powdered sugar dusting and those never lasted long. These bring me back. So good. The classic, a little bit of powdered sugar, or even the ones with chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles. Yum.

They also have a selection of coffee blends and now frozen choices. Recently added gelato but I havent tried it yet.
