What happened to the Boston Cream Pie donut!? 😭🤦‍♀️Weve been going here for over a year. The only reason we go to this place is because the pastry cream in the Boston Cream Pie is really good. But now they changed it to some weird really sweet icing. They didnt even have it as a filling, they just cut the donut in half and put the icing in between. Please bring back the pastry cream filling!Edit* The store replied and apparently they still have the same Boston (yay!) but the staff must have given us the wrong donut (we went through the drive-thru and always asked for Boston)Good to know so we can go back! Though well double check the donuts from now on.

Im back at home Phoenix, Arizona and wanted something sweet, normally Id have Chocolate Chip Chip Ahoy Cookies but thats a treat I have when home in Michigan with my sister. So I decided Krispy Kreme Donuts, sadly enough the Krispy Kreme I went to on Bell does not make their own donuts (Ive never heard that before), nor do they have the main selection I like (maple nor glaze). Then my Sis Thia here in AZ told me about The Original Rainbow Donuts at 15834 N. Cave Creek Rd.....The service is great, the donuts are fresh, the store is immaculate and the price is just what I needed. I was able to chose the dozen donuts I wanted at $13. Then I thought let me get some specialties, after picking out the 5 I wanted he said 1 more donut, it would be cheaper. Im happy, my grandbabies will be even happier when they wake up. The store opens at 4am. I went at 6am.Im told these donuts can last up to 7 days in the refrigerator, just pop in the microwave for a few seconds and they taste as fresh as the day you purchased them, Ill have to let you know if they last that long.While I know my post is long, I believe in allowing the reader to have a full vivid picture of why I gave 5 stars.Thanks for reading,TLewis

I 💕 this donut shop. The atmosphere is so quaint and homie 😲I was thinking 🤔 to myself this 🌅 wondering how they could make these donuts so flavorful and fresh. Its the Original 🌈 Rainbow 🌈 donuts shop. This place makes some of the best donuts must in the 🌎 world.

Hands down the best donuts we’ve ever had and we’ve tried a lot of donut shops locally and other places and this one tops the others by a landslide for both quality (taste) of the donuts and variety. Donuts are my son’s favorite thing on the planet and we’ve moved around some so we’ve probably been to 25+ donut shops. We no longer live in the area but when we’re back in town we always try to visit and that means driving 1/2 hr each way but SO worth it. Our favorites are the tiger tail, red velvet and the cake donuts are the bomb. You really can’t go wrong with any of them, even the what is usually safe and possibly boring glazed donut is so freaking good and like biting into a pillow of delicious goodness. Also they are quite friendly and happy to make suggestions as sometimes the selection is overwhelming. Lucky us, we’re in town and it is definitely time to go get some donuts! FYI get there early for best selection!

Had a plain cake donut and it was still the best donut I’ve ever had.

Huge selection of specialty made donuts with an amazing assortment of toppings! Their Cafe Sud Au drink is amazing!! Lots of rich spices like orange zest, and maybe vanilla, and a huge dose of caffeine! I love it!! Plus, the staff is super friendly and efficient. You can be in and out in mins, or sit down and enjoy your morning at clean tables with nice company. Enjoy!!

This is where you go to get fresh pastries by the dozen made on site. I pick these up when I have guests, or one or two when running errands. Friendly. Drinks available.

Still good, but not as good as in previous visits. The buttermilk bars didnt have much flavor, and I ordered a lemon jelly donut and got raspberry.

This shop has been around for several years and never disappoints. Its clean, easily accessible and the donut selection is awesome and varied. They also offer some breakfast items as well as coffee.

I like that the donuts are kept in relatively enclosed cases (pandemic-friendly), and the staff is amazing. We are lucky to live within 10 minutes of this place, but it is worth a much longer drive. Their coffees are equally impressive. Dont miss this spot!

I have been before and raved. Im gonna rave again. I still hugely suggest the blueberry fritter. My fav! But I really dont think you can go wrong with anything you choose. As I walked in, my mind was set on just a half dozen this time. There is a magical spell that is cast as soon as that door closes behind you. There HAS to be. Its rare I can walk out with less than a bakers dozen! Ha! I start second guessing what everyone will want then start thinking of the neighbors and how much a donut would make their morning...Ha! The power of the donut. Especially these.

This is the one and only O.G. Rainbow Donuts. Dont be fooled--all the others are impostors. Been coming here since I was a kid and will be going here as long as I live in Phoenix. The best place in the valley for donuts, hands down.Their raspberry jelly-filled donuts are especially good, unlike other places that have extremely sweet jelly in an already sugary donut, rainbows jelly is just right, not too sweet and not too tart.

This donut shop has real good high-quality donuts! My son really likes the donuts from this place and coming from a 10-year-old that must mean a lot lol.

So light and fluffy and such a good deal! Would recommend they add dairy free milk to their supply, but still super happy with the food and service!

Our fav donut shop in the world... literally World! I love this Maple and Bacon concoction since I spend lots of time in a Muslim country where bacon is either turkey type or beef type or English (not my style). They have a drive thru but go inside! You can see all the pretty delicious things and might find a new fav.

Not only will you find your traditional style donuts, they also offer twists or modern takes on donuts and pastries. Do yourself a favor and stop in to sample some of the delights. The staff is just as great as the donuts they serve!

I love the chocolate Bavarian cream.They are a good size and they put a lot of custard in.I live very close so I like to go there often. The only reason I just gave them 3 stars is because they dont keep inventory made. I am usually there between 9am-10am and they are out of mostly everything for the day.😕 I understand they probably cater mostly to the working people on their way to work, but they need to refill the supply.

I absolutely love Rainbow donuts. Particularly, this location.The owners are amazing and when I worked next door, they used to always make a special order of the clam chowder.I went there recently and even got a few extra donut holes. Their donuts are always the perfect bite.

Nice Donuts but they could add more powdered sugar on their donut holes and they need to buy brand new picnic tables and decorate the windows more friendly with flowers and keep them on the Windows because they have so much space they should also put a nice welcome mat in the front thats colorful and nice they need a big remodel update their bathroom is terrible the fan is so loud you cant even hear yourself breathe they need complete remodeling an update

For months my family and I were going to this place EVERY DAY, and I do mean everyday.However, lately the donuts havent taste the same. To the point that I could not finish the bite I took out of my donut. I do not know what change they made between late September 2018 and early October 2018 but something is off.

Superior donuts, better than most other places. Fresh, daily made, and delicious. Large selection, friendly staff and they have cool donuts like the Cronut and maple bacon bars.There are other rainbow donuts locations but this is the original rainbow donuts.

Seriously the best donuts. Been going since 1998 even though it’s a longer drive to get there, it’s worth it. Their quality and taste remained since then. The softness, variety, and taste is second to none.

The peanut butter and jelly donut topped with tiny pieces of finely chopped peanuts, the bacon maple with real bacon slices, like good enough to rent a cot there and live on this stuff alone! This place makes my favorite donut shop back east look like theyre serving up dog food. Just. Wow. You really do it right, Rainbow Donuts!! Poor service, unfriendly staff (male), spent over $60 in a three day period (on overpriced donuts), asked for a bottle of milk replacement for one I had bought two days earlier that had soured, and the male employee was rude and got upset that I had asked for a replacement. Will not buy there again!
