YUM!!! It is so nice to find gluten free vegan bakery items that taste this good!!! Weve loved everything weve tried -- pumpkin muffin, strawberry donut, an assortment of cookies... SO good! I think they are reasonably priced for GF, vegan FRESH baked items. Customer service is great too and they are limiting people in the store to be safer during the pandemic. We really appreciate that. Well definitely be back!

For heavens sake, anytime Im in the area I just cant help myself but to stop by and pick up some goodies! Sometimes Ill even pre-order online and do the curbside pickup. Ive never had anything bad but some of my favorites: peanut butter cookie (It is not standard It has more peanut butter flavor than most other cookies Ive ever tried), the vegan chocolate chip walnut (had no clue it was vegan until a couple months ago and Ive been eating it for years), any cupcake! All their cupcakes are good.. For the first time yesterday I ordered the salted caramel nut bar - HOLY HEAVEN! That will be on my list permanently moving forward.

First off, this bakery has the best metro-area sweets. Second, and most importantly, they have the best contactless pickup at the curbside of any location Ive seen. They make ordering simple on a big sign in your designated parking space with straightforward directions and they will deliver your order in person in less than 5 minutes. And, most importantly, the goods are awesome!

My favorite place for cookies. The pineapple coconut and dark chocolate sea salt are my favorites. The vegan donuts werent my fave but the cupcakes are delish as well.

This is THE cupcake place. Hands down. No debate. I enjoy all the high end, expense cupcakes like Sprinkles and Milkbar, but these are the better. They have the best crumb and come with the most intense flavors. This shop is locally and family owned and they rise to the occasion with scratch made jelly donuts and dense, rich cookies -- get the peanut butter pictured below. For me, the star is the cupcake -- the gluten free one is the best of all, but try the pumpkin (when they have it), banana, and chocolate. This place is gourmet and not cheap and worth every cent. We purchased here for parties, gifts, and a simply indulgent Saturday brunch. Youll love this food.

Seriously amazing!! I have gotten treats from here for years and they are all delicious. The cupcakes are amazing and I do not normally like frosting at all, but theirs is amazingly delicious!!! They have tons of Gluten Free options from a fantastic gluten free chocolate brownie mouse cake to certain cupcake flavors, cookies, and brownies. They never disappoint and always bring in new flavors to try so there is always something different.

They have such aclassy & clean presentation of their selection.The cleanliness of the establishment made me feel confident. The staff was eager to assist me and answered all of my concerns about my corn allergy . They treated me like a family member with respect and showed general concern. Best cupcakes I’ve ever had! I don’t live in Phx but when I’m in town I try to stop here! The gluten-free ones are amazing- you would never know they’re gluten free! Which is saying a lot since gluten free more often than not is meh at best, but these babies are for real amazing!!! You’d be a fool to not try this place... especially if you’re looking for gluten free treats. We did curb side pick up this last time and it was quick.

The donuts were soooooo good, fall donut was absolutely delicious. Lemon blackberry and maple pecan were 🔥🔥🔥! Hard to believe they are gluten free, I will be back to try the cupcakes. Everything looks fabulous!

I have loved this bakery for years so it’s tough to give it a bad review but is necessary after my last trip. I’ve always enjoyed their doughnuts and gluten free cupcakes and the delicious flavor combinations as I have celiac and it’s tough to find places I can trust. I walked in last week, excited to get myself a treat and left with nothing but disappointment. I was surprised to see they changed their setup and no longer separate their products by allergy. I’m not sure why they are still making gluten free products when they are displaying them side by side gluten products but I guess people who don’t have celiac can still enjoy them.

We drove out from the deep West side to try this place out, Im blown away. So delicious, so amazing 10/10 will definitely visit again!!!!!

This bakery would have something for everyone. They have traditional flavors, gluten free, dairy-free, and vegan options, along with seasonal and more creative ideas. We tried the German Chocolate, Lemon, and Fig & Honey cupcakes. The frosting is piled on but yet light and the cake itself is moist and everything seemed well balanced.There’s not much parking so if the small location happens to be busy it’s a short walk to the other parking lot or street parking is also an option near by.

We LOVE Urban Cookies! I still havent tried a cupcake - even though they look amazing. I am a cookie fiend and I have not found a better cookie than their double chocolate sea salt. The staff is always friendly, too.

Its always a wonderful treat for our family and friends when we share cupcakes and cookies from Urban Cookies. All of the baked goods weve purchased have always been baked to perfection. We also love trying their seasonal offerings which are always so imaginative and perfectly decorated.I also very much appreciate that they offer gluten free and vegan options. It is super helpful that they list all of the allergens, which I know takes a lot of extra time and care.Urban Cookies has always had great service and we love the contactless pick up option that has been offered over the last year. We have been here several times and always love it. The staff is very friendly, it is clean, and their new location is super cute. The cupcakes are always excellent and you can tell that they use quality ingredients. I have loved every flavor that I have tried but I have to say my favorite is the lemon. They also have a community table inside and a few toys for the kids. I definitely recommend giving them a try. They totally deserved their win on cupcake wars!

Great cupcakes, cakes, and pastries however about a year ago they changed the cake design and the cake is now several tiers tall and just too high…Due to the multiple tiers, make sure to refrigerate any cake prior to serving it or it will fall apart. We did not know to do this and our wedding cake completely fell over on the table while we were trying to cut it…I was so disappointed but also had to laugh. And, there used to be tiny chocolate balls that would adorn the brown velvet cupcakes and cakes, and sadly they have been replaced with tiny chocolate shavings that are not nearly as good.UPDATE as of 10/11/21 - I went to the bake shop over the weekend and the tiny chocolate balls are back adorning the tops on the Brown Velvet cupcakes! YAY! My cupcake tasted as delicious as ever and this spot remains my favorite bake shop in PHX!

This locations is so cute inside and out but the best part about this place is that they have delicious desserts. This was my first time tasting their treats and was very happy with the taste and the moistness of the cupcakes it was like a soft cloud in my mouth. I got the Lemon meringue pie which I didn’t really like but that’s just because of the cream on top, Pumpkin pie cupcake was delicious, Nutella pie cupcake was also good I love that the chocolate cupcake was soft, and Vanilla cupcake my sister had and liked how it tasted.

I just tried this place today & I finally found a bakery with good sweets AND vegan options! I got the sugar confetti cookie (vegan) & the chocolate salted caramel cupcake (gluten free). The sugar cookie was really good in taste & texture; the cupcake was even better especially the frosting!!10/10 will be coming back!

I had a snickerdoodle cookie and banana cupcake.The snickerdoodle was very good, but you definitely need to be in the mood for a sugary cookie to put the whole thing down.The banana cupcake on the other hand was much more mild. The icing was not too sweet or oily and the cupcake itself was hearty. The cupcake struck me as more “bready” than the quintessential moist cupcake I was expecting.Overall both were quality. This place deserves a try.

This place was made for birthday wishes! We got cupcakes (double chocolate, banana, and gluten free pumpkin), brownie and peanut butter cookies. Does it seem excessive? I dont think so, because birthdays are made to be celebrated with a sugar rush and this place delivers! Our favorites hands down were the pumpkin and banana cupcakes. Would eat them every day if it wouldnt guarantee a one way ticket to diabetes town 😂.

This is my favorite bakery of all time, and as a former pastry chef and avid baker I dont throw that around lightly. This place has not only the most amazing and unique rotation of cupcake flavors and other baked goods but its also just an incredible local business that pours its heart and soul into caring about its customers and employees. They have the most amazing lineup of baked goods including a bunch of gluten free and vegan options that you wouldnt even guess are gluten free or vegan. Watching Urban Cookies adapt and overcome set back after set back this year with covid has been amazing and they stand out as a business that has gone above and beyond keeping its customers and employees safe. Their safety measures are unmatched and do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. The passion fruit cupcake they have right now is probably one of the best Ive ever had and my only complaint is that I wish it wasnt seasonal and they had it all year. This place really is the whole package from the amazing baked goods to the fantastic customer service

I was finally able to make a visit to this bakery; been drooling over online pictures of their pastries for a few weeks. I tried six items: the vanilla cupcake, a cowboy cookie, a peanut butter cookie, a prickly pear doughnut, a brownie and a nut bar. All of it delicious; and worth the drive from Peoria to Phoenix.

The cupcakes are delicious. They have a lot of gluten free options. I havent tried any of the cookies, but they look just as good. Their chocolate flavors are really good, but I didnt really like the birthday cake flavor. My only thing with this place is that I hate how cramped the parking spots are, but thats just because Im a bad driver.

Cute bakeshop that won Cupcake Wars! I had a very good snickerdoodle cookie. Vanilla cupcake was pretty, moist, frosting was light- but not my fav personally. The donuts are baked and looked tasty, I didn’t try. They do have happy hour a few days a week!

A charming and delightful store with tons of sweet options. At most bakeries you want to walk in and leave. In this store, you want to stay. Every detail has been worked out with plates and utensils, comfortable seating, complimentary water set out, and even some adorable play things for the kiddos. The server was also great, he was patient and friendly!

After ordering dozens of times over the years we finally ordered the churro cake for my daughter’s birthday last summer and it was incredible! The seasonal offerings are also delicious.We also respect and appreciate their mask policy and ordering options throughout the pandemic — curbside and walk up means there’s something for everyone. Update: 6/26/20Their products are delicious but they changed the brown velvet cakes and in this AZ heat it’s not a good idea.We had our wedding during quarantine so we only needed a small cake. Since we love this shop we decided to get a brown velvet.We kept it in the fringe until we left for the wedding (20 minute drive) and it sat in the shade during the 2 minute ceremony, but when we opened the box it was a pile of mush.They used to serve a normal cake with icing but they changed it to multiple layers with icing in between, which caused it to crash and burn once we opened the box.We tried scooping pieces onto plates but it was a lost cause.I wish they would have told us they changed the cake so we could have known and kept it in a cooler during the drive and very short ceremony.5 stars for taste1 star for poor communication1 star for poor design of cake.You should go back to your previous cake, especially in Arizona where icing turns to liquid within minutes.____________________________I’ve traveled the world many times over but I’ve never had a cupcake as good as these. This goes beyond a great recipe and great ingredients, this is what the magic touch looks like. Very nice staff, great location, great espresso and decor is perfect. 5 stars easily!

I visited Urban cookies this morning. My last visit was 2018. I got the chocolate raspberry cupcake. They still make hands down my absolute favorite chocolate cake I have EVER eaten, no matter the flavor combo. BTW The Cinco de Mayo chocolate cupcake is my all time fave!!! I literally have not purchased cupcakes from anywhere else since 2016!! Im ruined! ☺

This place makes the best cupcakes Ive ever had! Ive been 3 times and always been impressed. Their doughnuts and cookies are equally delicious. My fiance is not a huge sweets person, but he always asks for a bite of whatever Ive gotten from Urban Cookies. On top of that, Im very impressed with how theyve handled COVID.

Had for the first time after seeing them on VeganPhx Instagram page and I am sooo amazed! They do gluten-free right! Loved all of the donut flavors I got, they where so moist, sweet, and flavorful. Their Meyer Lemon donut was amazing. They also list all the ingredient they use on their website, quality ingredients! Definitely going to be one of my go-tos for vegan, gluten-free donuts.
