This is my favorite hobby store in phoenix! Not a whole lot of real hobby shops in Tucson, but it is definitely worth the drive! They have everything, I came to buy a model car (they have a great model car selection) and some other model supplies. If you are coming for a model kit or an rc car, this is the place to go to! Very helpful service, good prices, nice people and a great selection. I recommend hobby bench to anyone who is into hobbies or wanting to get into hobbies. I will definitely come here again!

I loved the variety of childrens toys they had here. Good stop for different plays sets you wouldnt find anywhere else! I was interested in what they had for painters... not a big selection, but prices were more reasonable than I thought. Model cars and planes galore! Cool store.

These guys are pretty good, helping me find my first Rc car, at a decent price. However, they leave out a lot of information for newbies. My servo gears broke in my Traxxas and they did not inform about the metal gears that can be bought separately, so I just purchased a whole new servo. When I asked about different types of Servos, the sales guy only gave me one option, which I bought but kind of regret, since I would like to know more about different options. They also leave out information about upgrading your motor and trade ins of old esc/ motor and remote/receiver. I had to call Traxxas to find this out. This seems like they just want you to buy new without trade ins, didnt really appreciate this business model. Overall pretty good store with lots of upgrades, though do your research before entering or else you will end up paying more.Update:I am really happy with all my upgrades I have on my truck but may have went at it the wrong way. If I could do it all over again I would have just forked out the extra cash early to get what I wanted but the journey and experience was worth it in the long run. I now have enough parts to build another RC car, which is fine I guess my Niece will get a cool Christmas present. I can understand being a small business who needs to make money and sell stuff to make it, especially in this day in age. I guess I should have done more research with the servo, along with the trade in program with Traxxas. Apparently, only certain retailer will do it and it makes sense why they dont mention it or honor it. They have been really helpful and the guys are knowledgeable about rc cars. I have had good experiences most of the time Ive been there. I will continue to shop there and find good deals at this shop or elsewhere. I started with a 3 star but have bumped it up to a 4 star, do to recent excellent service and experience there.

My families all time favorite store. Its an old-school toy store with the coolest stuff. Instead of getting cheesy birthday kits, I started getting really awesome birthday gifts for the same price. You can only get a kid so many slime kits lol its a true hobby store, not really for diy decorators.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! the people who work here know what they are doing and will help with any type of RC questions you might have! But there was one thing I always wanted to ask them but I keep forgetting but they should do a OUTSIDE EVENT - Example like setting up tents / tables and invite all different types of RC planes, trucks, crawlers you name it so that not only us RC owners could show off what we have but also bring way much more business to this company! Because me as a first time buyer a few months ago I just wasnt sure about getting into this hobby only because I didnt really know anything about Rc cars but now after having my Rustler 2wd I went back and got a Stampede VXL just trying to collect them All 😁.. Just my opinion! & unfortunately I had to change my rating to three stars only because one of the women who work at the cashiers told me is it really worth buying the stuff I was buying not only did I feel very disappointed & disrespected because I come to this place like every two weeks buying stuff I need and to told what I was told was like a slap in the face only like well duhh this is a hobby or I could just go on Amazon & put you out of work this all took place on May 14th, 2021 at 3pm!

These guys are great, come here all the time for my arrma parts.

Walked in 30 minutes before closing with friends who are also POC and was told to hurry up. White lady walked in 10 minutes before closing and was greeted much kinder. Employee was wearing gaiter neck thing which isn’t an actual mask and was blaming and speaking poorly of Chinese people and other political parties. Not to mention poor quality items are over priced. Not safe, rude, terrible place to be.

They cater to a variety of hobbyists. I am just there for my hobby, so I have to say that it is represented. You just have to call or check it out for yourself with regards to your own hobby. I can usually find at least one deal each time I visit here.

Disgusted.Ive been coming here for over 20 years, but now Im angry.One employee had her mask on.Another employee had no mask at all and was helping a man, also, not wearing a mask.Some guy approaches me with a mask under his chin and asks if I need help.I beelined for the door, telling them I cant shop here if they wont wear masks.I am disgusted that this store would risk mine and others lives like this. This pandemic isnt a hoax, or a joke. I know people who have died.I feel so disrespected that they would disregard the health of their own community this way. I dont know if Ill ever come back.

Could have been a five star rating but the gentleman that helped me didnt seem to have much knowledge of servos or the RC Crawler I bought from there the day before.

I love going to this place. As an older feller I like to see all the cool new toys whenever I get to come here. I took my kiddos (5 & 7) for the first time and they loved it. Ive been coming to this place for years, and they still accept my discount card from over a decade ago!And the service is awesome every time.

Stopped in to look for a gift. The owner whom is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about hobbies and such nots pointed out the right gift plus condiments and topped out off with free gift wrapping

They have very limited stock options, it is always dirty with no regard for cleanliness. But worst of all are the employees, thy either upsell you for something you do not need or they just ignore you until you almost have to shout at them, I am never ever going back to Hobby Bench and I have given it multiple times to redeem itself only making it worse every time. If you need an actually caring hobbyshop go somewhere else.

They were recommended buy my sons teacher for items for a swamp diorama for his science class. How did I not know they were there?
