Ive been coming here for about 13 years and now Im heart broken. I wish they wouldnt close. Verry good service. Love the staff. I wish if they open another place I would go back to them. Just give me a call.

They say they open Sunday at 11:00 but are not open. If I had an option for less than 1 star I would pick it.

I bought my eyeglasses a year ago and had lenses made for another pair of frames I had. Lee is both professional and pleasant to deal with so no complaints there. However, the one star comes from the fact that it took more than 10 weeks to get the glasses. I had a working pair so I was able to show some patients but this was ridiculous. Lee kept saying that they would be arriving within a few days. I finally said if you dont have the frames next week, I will want my money back. Luckily they arrived. The second reason for the one star is that the ear pieces faded after 1to 2 month on different spots. These were not cheap glasses. I could have got a pair at Costco for less than half what I paid here, but I thought I would support a local business. I thought about bringing them back but decided it was not worth the trouble.

Again as someone indicated below, if I could rate it with 10 stars I would. Truly the gold standard for customer service. The prices were so reasonable I wound up getting three pairs! Kudos especially goes to Lee as he took the time to help me thoroughly review and carefully select each frame. Your eyes are in good hands with these folks!

I been coming here since for years now! They know me by my name since I a return customer. I personally love the people working here. I have gotten nothing but a good experience here. I came here since i dont have eyes insurance and I find the prices to be fair. I rec9this place to people

If I was able to give this place 0 stars I would definitely do it. I scheduled an appointment for my brother and he was denied service because he told them he was not buying frames, he told them that he just wanted to get the eye exam. As far as I know this is against the law, you can shop around and get your frames/glasses anywhere. My brother’s appointment was at 5:30 pm, two ladies showed up after my brother was already done with his paperwork. One of them clearly stated her appointment was at 6:00 pm since she was buying her frames/glasses there they took care of her first leaving my brother last, same thing happened with second lady she was helped before my brother since she was also buying her frames/glasses with them. This is unacceptable nobody should be disrespected like this.

I have been coming here for years. I have always had a great exam and the glasses are great every time.

They had pretty good frame selection and quick turnaround time. The staff was friendly and competent. Alex Optical appear to be part of a small local chain, hurrah for spending money locally! I arrived at 2:35 (prescription in hand), made my choice by 3:30, and returned to pick up my new glasses and lenses at 5:45 for under $200 total. Frames were labeled with their prices, starting at $60 for all-plastic models, and I was offered discounts without asking for them. If I needed another quick turnaround I would do business here again.

I recommend you stay away from this place. My husband & I like to shop with smaller local businesses, however this place is a nightmare. We both bought the whole package. Included every option for our glasses. I had to bring my husbands glasses back twice as the UV coating kept scratching off. We finally had it removed. That solved the problem, however I was told we had to eat the money we paid to have the defective coating put on.The staff is friendly, but not really helpful. They seem to be afraid of the owner & he has to approve everything they do. Unfortunately I now have an issue with my glasses (right lens top keeps popping out of the frame). I am reluctant to return to this place for help. :(

They were open on Christmas Eve which was great. I was seen quickly and the exam was finished in 10 min. It was a nice family, locally owned company. The office itself is a little outdated and they dont have the latest technology. They wanted to dilate my eyes. I havent had to do that in almost 20 years, my previous eye docs have had a machine that eliminate the need to dilate my eyes.

Looking to have quality eyewear for a good price. Was not disappointed! It was a busy day at the store but the man who helped me had a good sense of humor, and gave me a great deal for my patience! Got my glasses quicker than expected and theyre terrific! They have my business from now on!

Love the company help me save my day when i needed it they gave me my contacts lens and glasses right the same day love that reasonable price and fast working 😊

My favorite place for contact lenses. They beat Walmart price by just enough and I have to give a big thank you to Lee, he goes above and beyond and I know he really enjoys what he does. Highly recommend this place.

My last eye exam was about a year ago. I had an eye exam for contact lenses. The doctor provided their service well. But when it came time to getting my prescription for contact lenses they refused to give it to me because I had to try a few kinds of contact lenses on which had to be conducted by a doctor. That I found reasonable, but at the time I wasnt ready to pay for them but I just wanted to know if I would be able to use contact lenses. So instead I asked for my prescription for glasses. And the male receptionist was very upset about it. He fumed over my prescription copy just because I didnt want to buy my glasses from them. I found it very unprofessional and childish. Even today I asked before setting an appointment if it would be fine if I purchased my frames elsewhere. And their response was Yeah sure I guess.

They apparently dont know how to do eye exams despite that being their business and all. Didnt get the correct prescription for contacts and required a reexam. Still didnt get it right and wanted to charge me to correct the issue a third time. Sorry, third times the charm is not the right ideology for a business if you ask me.

I went in here to have an eye exam done so I could get a pair of glasses. All went well and one of the people who worked there said that if my glasses broke within a year, they would replace them for free. My glasses had gotten broken about 6 months later because my friend accidently knocked them off of the table. I went back in to get my free replacement glasses but they were highly rude to me, gave me dirty looks, and said that they dont replace them for free. This also happened to a friend of mine whos glasses broke within a few months after getting them and they said that they never said they would replace them free of charge.My mother had come in here to do an eye exam to get contacts. She had received a trial pair and went ahead and bought a pack of contacts. They claim to have called her several times and left messages about the contacts being ready to pick up but she never got any phone calls. They went ahead saying that there is a fee to get them again even though she had already paid for them.This place if ridiculous. If you dont want to deal with a bunch of lying jerks, I do NOT recommend going there.

THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED IN MY LIFE. The manager lies BIG TIME. He didnt want to refund the contact lenses that did not match me at all after telling me he could refund it. He would lie that there is another person who is above him to refund the money. He would tell me he would call back several times and never called me back. He even told me the manager (he is the manager of Alex Optical) is out of state so he cant refund the money. I brought my parent at last and FINALLY, he told me to show the receipt. First time hearing about receipt after talking to him for at least a month! I could not get the $25 back but I reported fraud on my bank and received full refund which was around $200. WHO WOULD LIE TO A CUSTOMER IN AN ATTEPMT TO NOT TO ISSUE A REFUND? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. I am not being sarcastic, it literally is a worst company I faced. Maybe worse than a scam company.

Very helpful staff - spent a lot of time reviewing my picks for frames and made suggestions. The eye doc was friendly and professional. Great experience overall.

DO NOT GO HERE! From day one, I had a horrible experience. First the doctor gave me the wrong prescription, then on top of that their was hidden fees, such as a 25 dollar fee to show you how to put in a contact. Some WEEKS later when my contacts finally came they did not fit my eyes properly. On top of that I only ordered a year supply and got charged for 2 years. The receptionist was great and tried to process a refund for me, but her unprofessional boss on the phone was hanging up in her repeatly and I could hear him yelling though the phone. (HOW UNPROFESSIONAL) I got a refund later that week. Some time later my frames broke on my glasses, I asked for a replacement pair and it took them a whole 2 weeks to get back to me about a frame!! Complete waste of money.. I cannot use my glasses or my contacts. Once again do not go here. Its ghetto, not well organized and was overall a horrible experience.

Alex Optical is the BEST. Alex Optical has GREAT SERVICE. VERY REASONABLE PRICES for what they offer. I wanted a special type of frame and they were able to SPECIAL ORDER. I got this rimless pair of glasses and wanted the lenses to be a certain shape and they were able to do it. It turned out AWESOME. I went to Lenscrafters, EyeMasters and Costco but no one else could do get what I wanted. I got a CUSTOM shape, who else could say that!

This place is great such caring people and doctors I highly recommend this optical for new patients.

I was extremely surprised of how informative and friendly everyone there is. I will be returning back and will be recommending Alex Optical to everyone I knw who uses glasses.

Today makes 2 weeks. Im past being patient. My mother in laws glasses thru Costco took 10 days. I will not be going back to Alex Optical @ christown mall again. Its ridiculous. Not returning or answering my calls now. Paid $325 for bi focals w/ the sun glass changing. Same frames. Only getting lenses.End of rant

Contact eye exam was a reasonable price, however since I was a first time user for contacts they wanted to charge me a $25 instructional fee to teach me how to use contacts. Kept raising the price on the contacts stating that we are the only place you can get your contacts, and they are made from scratch. They were first stating that the contacts would be $100 then after explaining I wanted to shop-around they raised the price to $125. After paying for the eye exam I went to Wal-Mart where I found that for the same exam and the lesson on how to use contacts and a free pair of contacts you walk out with the same day was $79.95. The total price for Alex Optical was $190 for the same day price. Wal-Mart also charged me less, $80.00 for my contacts, and the wait time to get my contacts was less then that of Alex Optical.

They put lens in antique frames taking great care. The eye exams are excellent as well.

Alex Optical takes pride in there work. They take the time to listen and help you with your prescription.... They have a lab onsite and can do most eyeglasses in week or less...There is a small charge for custom grind type prescriptions BUT they do all they can to give you quality eyeware
