Ashton, the members of Southwest Pinzgauer Association have been unable to reach you by phone, email, and other social media with regard to our group order of custom gas tanks in February 2021. We see you are replying to reviews here fairly recently. Please get a hold of John ASAP. The Subcontractor in St. Petersburg Russia has finished the first 2 tanks more than two weeks ago but says he cannot get a hold of you to arrange payment and shipping. I hope you and Brandi are healthy and well and just at a 4x4 outing or convention. I am looking forward to being able to give my gas tank a 5-star review.

I purchased a Roam Vagabond tent a few months ago and Ashton was quick about getting me on the schedule as soon as it arrived. I have used the tent a few times and love it. I almost went with a different cheaper tent but the knowledge the folks over at Vagabond have spared me the trouble of a bad product. I highly recommend calling them if you need questions answered about any type of rooftop tent

Ashton installed a dual battery system in my 4Runner. He was very knowledgeable about the Redarc system I wanted and also installed a Switchpros for me. I never knew how much easier it would be to go on an extended trip with this set up or I would have had this done a long time ago.

SCAMMER ALERT!!!! Ashton and Brandi (the owners and who run the place) are stealing people’s money! They stole over $9000 from me! They’re now no longer in business to my understanding and trying to serve them to file a lawsuit is next to impossible (assuming you’re not a millionaire and can afford a whole army of lawyers) Do NOT shop there (assuming you still can) they’re a fraudulent business and WILL lie and steal your money!!!!

Brandi & Ashton Shipley are CROOKS!!! They have stolen over $4,000 from me for an Alu-Cab product I purchased through them. Runaround after runaround, false promise after false promise. Lie after lie. Alu-Cab has removed them as an authorized dealer (feel free to call Alu-Cabs North American Brand Manager, Rin Oostdykat at OK4WD and ask him yourself). Finally after 6 long months of dealing with these clowns, they agreed to give me a refund. Gave me a receipt for the refund and cancled it before it processed. Then they said they would cut a cashiers check...that was right before they got evicted for not paying their lease and that was the last I heard from them. Thieves! Stay away!

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THESE PEOPLE. They take peoples money and never give the product you purchased. They lied to us & put us off for 5 months before we spoke with Rin Oostdyk, the Alu-Cab North American Brand Manager at OK4WD & discovered that Vagabond 4x4 (Brandi and Ashton Shipley) have stolen A LOT of money from A LOT of other people. Rin also gave us the contact information for Samuel Dampt, the local attorney at Denton Peterson Dunn who has been working with others defrauded by Vagabond 4x4.If you have given money to these people, please file a consumer complaint with the Arizona Attorney General, file a police report, contact the Arizona Republics Call for Action Team and please contact the Brand Manager of whichever product you purchased as well as the local attorney to verify the information I am sharing. We have tried to kindly talk with Vagabond 4x4 and have attempted multiple refund requests but they still have our $4099.00 and now refuse to respond to calls or emails. Their landlord locked them out for failure to pay (see photos). Vagabond 4x4 is not moving locations (despite what their social media posts claim). I dont know why they are bothering to try to keep up the illusion that they are a legitimate business but these people are in deep, theyre broke, and will not bat an eye at taking all your money & lying to your face. PLEASE do not give them your money.

I found Vagabond 4x4 (Ashton & Brandi) through an instagram post of a ZR2 owner I follow. It may have been the best thing instagram has ever shown me! I originally took my ZR2 to them to replace my torn CV boots. My vehicle had torn the boots many times before and previous shops would replace the boots and tell me all was well. Ashton replaced the boots and looked over the coilovers installed by another shop. He corrected the past shops install error. On top of this, he also took the time to investigate and fix a loud hum I had coming from my rear differential. During the whole time he had my truck, he was very good at communicating and keeping me in the loop of the problem, the solution and an ETA. The rearend was not on his schedule but he made sure to get me fixed up. This is absolutely the best service I have received from any auto shop Ive ever been to. No doubt I will be using Vagabond going forward! Dont hesitate to use Vagabond. You wont regret it!

Working with Ashton and Brandi at Vagabond 4x4 was an awesome Experience from the first phone call to the delivery of my Jeep. They exceeded my expectation and the build went flawlessly. I m so please and would recommend Vagabond 4x4 to anyone looking to take there vehicle to the next level.

I understand that with Covid everything has been hard to get, but Vagabond went out of their way to get our job done as soon as possible. We had some delays due to parts availability, but they kept us updated and got us on the schedule as soon as our parts came in. We love the way our Jeep looks now!

I wish I could give negative stars. I am posting this as a warning to anyone that is considering using Vagabond 4x4 Outdoor Adventures. We took our Smittybuilt Scout Trailer to these crooks almost 5 months ago to have our tent trailer wired with lights, a water heater, water pump, sink, mounted propane tank, USB plugs, charging system,  Pros auxilary switch, and roof top tent assist struts. We were told it would take them a week, we told them no rush that was fine, and we paid for all the parts and labor upfront.  After three weeks  we called to set up a time to pick up our trailer,, we were told some parts had not come in due to Covid.  Very understandable we agreed. After another 3 weeks we drove down to Gilbert from Show Low and were told by Ashton that everything had finally come in and they would have it ready for pick up the following Friday.   On Friday morning we received a text from Ashton stating that the trailer was not completed and that he would personally deliver it to Show Low for us. Once again Sunday morning another text that it still wasnt finished. He promised again to have it delivered by Wednesday.  Wednesday came and went no trailer.  Another text promising delivery another lie.  AFTER being pushed back over and over again, and lied to time and again, we told them to forget it. Ashton Shipley the owner said he would refund our labor costs. and that we could finally pick it up. We called to tell him the day we would be available to drive back down to Gilbert,  they had an emergency over Christmas to New Years, the emergency appeared to be a camping trip that they took and posted pictures of. Finally on the 31st of December we were allowed access to our trailer. In four plus months the only thing done to our trailer was the tent assist struts. Seriously that was all. We picked up our trailer and the parts Ashton had ordered, the parts were thrown into the trailer and most were unusable.  We were promised a refund and got a bull shit receipt,  still no refund to date. Time to head to court,  and notify the Better Business people.  And I will try and let everyone I can what a shady, half assed crooks this guy and his wife are. If they have anything of yours run dont walk and pick it up. They will keep your property and your money and do nothing but lie, and blow you off. Absolutely pitiful excuse for a Company.

We loved meeting Ashton and Brandi! They helped us decide on a rack and tent for our truck and got us ready for our trip to Baja Mexico.

Great customer service and very knowledgeable. I will shop there from now on for all of my 4x4 Jeep parts.

These guys are amazing, honest and hardworking!!! I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee and wanted to get it built for off roading. Ashton helped me put together a game plan hat fit my budget and timeline. He installed a rough country lift kit, an ARB front bumper and a WARN wench. He also sold me a roof top tent. This work has completely transformed my jeep and I now have an off road capable vehicle! Thank you Vagabond 4x4 for the excellent service!

Unfortunately, Brandi and Ashton have lied to and stolen from their loyal customers! I ordered and paid for an FSR roof rack, through Vagabond 4x4, back in November of 2020. They sold the rack to another customer and pocketed that money, and the money I paid them for the rack. I had to call FSR and ask them why it was taking so long to ship my rack. Tim at FSR looked up the order and told me that it had shipped with the tent I ordered. He called Brandi and she told Tim they sold it to someone else. During the whole time I was asking where my FSR rack was, Brandi was telling me it was on back order, it was being modified, and Covid had caused shipping delays. Just one lie after another, according to what Tim at FSR shared with me. I only got the rack after Tim called Brandi and addressed with her what she was telling me.Vagabond 4x4 also took my FSR Adventure roof top tent, in December 2020, on consignment, and sold it for $1500.00. They have never given me the $1350.00 they owed me after their ten percent commission fee. They are both liars and thieves! Please contact any companies that you purchased their products through Vagabond 4x4 and let them know what these two individuals have done and ask them to no longer do business with Ashton and Brandi Shipley, and Vagabond 4x4 in Phoenix, AZ ever again. I talked with Abraham at FSR, last week, about having Vagabond 4x4, continuing to be an FSR vendor. He shared that they were dropping them as a vendor.Shortly after this post, Ashton emailed me and indicated that he was going to take care of me, and would get back to me the next week. I have not heard back from him since then. He still owes me $1350.00!It is now 9-19-21 and I still have not heard one word from Brandi or Ashton on the $1350.00 that they owe me . So sad that they have taken their loyal customers advantage of and not following through with their agreements.It is now November 7, 2021 and I still have not had a response from Brandi or Ashton!
