My Chevrolet Express van needed a driveshaft, at GM, and parts stores the cost was $ 1,100+ not counting labor.Phoenix Rack & Axle made the part, and installed it for less than half of the cost of the store bought part alone.Luke measured my needed part, and I returned the next morning for the installation, which took 20 minutes.My van had only been to dealerships for service since I bought it new.Perhaps one day dealership service will come close to meeting the level of service Luke, and Phoenix Rack & Axle provides its customers.I very highly recommend this place of business!.

Hands Down the best place. Im from Flagstaff and they worked around my schedule to get the driveshaft rebuilt so I could get it up the hill and back on the vehicle. Originally went for a steering rack rebuild but my rack was mixed up and they had amazing customer service and helped me out and ordered a new one from Canada and rebuilt it for me for no extra charge Jason was extremely helpful through the process.

My experience seems to differ from the norm so take it with a grain of salt. I ordered two reman CV axles for my car online. A few days after I ordered I called to get a status update. They were out of stock and had to build some. No big deal, they shipped them to my house about a week later. Went to install them and one was the wrong one. Called and let them know, they said theyd have one out to me the next day. Next day, nothing. Called the day after, and now they cant quite figure out which one is the right one. So they ask me to take it out and bring it in. I can only bring it in on the weekend, and their CV guy doesnt work on the weekend. I bring it in on Saturday and the CV guy is working, must be my lucky day. He takes one look and says oh thats for x model with y trim level. Impressive. Good thing thats exactly what I put in the order form when this all started. Finally get the right one, get it installed. A week later it pukes all its grease out of the boot. Ive now been sitting at their shop, on a work day, for 4 hours. I removed and replaced it the first time in my driveway with hand tools in 45 minutes.

The guy looked at it an new right away. Built a better one for me and gave me some tips on how to keep it working great for years to come. The shaft fits great and my ride is smoother than ever. Was working in an aftermarket application and called this shop with questions regarding cv axles and fitment. Gentleman who took my call was overly helpful. Even went to the extent to look at pictures of problem I was having via text message. All of this help was provide for free. Hard to find customer service like this anywhere.

Spent an entire day searching for a replacement CV Axel for my Tacoma with no luck (aftermarket part).... until my last stop of the day at Phoenix Rack & Axle Differential. I took my vehicle in for them to evaluate the power steering rack. Another service center told me it was leaking and needed replacement right away. PR&A to get a 2nd opinion. They looked at it within 15 minutes of arrival. They gave me an honest answer - very minor leak, watch the fluid and wait for repair. I appreciate the honesty!

After all the running around I had to do to find the piece I needed for my 97 F-250 HD powerstroke turbo diesel . I found the part at Napa install was terrible bcz it was the wrong size. 1 visit to Phx Rack & Axle matched to the exact part for a fraction of the cost. If you really need a differential piece for your car or truck these guys know what they are doing. Wish I could give them 20 stars. Thanks guys you are more than a help.

These guys are legit I live in Vegas and couldn’t find a used driveshaft and also the one place that builds new driveshafts was absolutely insane with the price he gave me, so I found Phoenix rack and axle online called down and spoke to Steve I gave him the info on what I needed and instead of just building it wrong he called to verify what I had told him was correct. That was on Wednesday at 1 pm he built and shipped my “brand new” driveshaft by 5 pm the SAME FREAKIN DAY. They are very knowledgeable and super friendly people. I had some driveshafts made here, by Steve, a decade ago and recently went to AZ driveshaft to get some others made after I changed out my transfer-case. Big mistake! The folks at AZ charged me double the price for half the quality. I would up getting Steve to help fix my horrible, poorly manufactured, AZ driveshaft. Before I could barely do 60MPH and had a jumping dashboard. My truck is SASed on 40” tires and can comfortably cruise at modern highway speeds now ~90 MPH. The difference in price, customer service, turnaround time and quality is night and day! Thanks Phoenix Rack and Axle and thank you Steve!

Used them to rebuild my front differential that Phoenix Driveline had jacked all up both the case and my order. I’ve been here now twice and the extra time and gas to get here has totally been worth it. It’s been a few months and haven’t had any leaks or issues. And the guy at the counter knew what differential I had and the kit it took by simply looking at the case, where the people at Phoenix Driveline needed it torn apart in pieces and then my vin to find the same info. To me when a employee can look at something and know what it is he’s in the right line of work, and that’s where I’ll take future business.

Service was impeccable

Honest, reliable and dependable. My sons 2004 Monte Carlo was leaking power steering fluid. I had been using a mobile mechanic who recommended that I order a new rack and pinion from Phoenix rack and Axle which I did. This was after he replaced the power steering pump. I spent about $500.00 with the mobile mechanic. The problem kept getting worse. I contacted Phoenix Rack and Axle and made an appointment. They put in a new rack and pinion, steering pump and reservoir and both the pressure and return lines then aligned the front end. I ended up paying about half of what I paid the mobile mechanic. The car drives and handles amazing. They really know their craft, excellent mechanics. I waited while the car was being worked on. The staff was nice, answered any questions that I had. I would highly recommend them as they also do a variety of auto repairs. This was one of the best experiences that I have had with a mechanic shop in my 30 plus years in the valley. Next I will take my 1998 Jaguar XK8 to them to go through the entire car. They have earned my trust and respect which is not an easy feat.One huge lesson that I learned is that a mechanic that comes to you may seem convenient but I wasted so much money. A good reputable shop like Phoenix Rack and Axle is a much better value and in the end not only will you save money but your car will be fixed the right way and youll save in the end.

These guys are top of the line, honest, genuinely great mechanics. Could not believe at how much stress they took away from the situation and how quick and reliable their service and expertise was.

Had them rebuild all four CV axles for my car, was originally quoted 3 day turn around time, this turned into 3 weeks, never was updated and had to call every week to find out what was taking so long to keep being told they will be done and sent back to me the next day. Finally got my axles back and one of them did not have the circlip on the end of it to keep it snapped into the rear diff. Another 3 weeks goes by of me calling them and asking them weekly to mail me a circlip from Phoenix to Tucson in which they keep telling me they will send them and never did. Finally had to source the circlip myself after being lied to week after week. My car was down for a total of a month and a half when it was originally going to be a 3 day job and they continually lied to me. Not happy with the customer service at all.

Dealt with Richard in the Diff department and cant say enough good stuff about him and everyone else there. Got a locker and had it installed, great prices and he got it done same day. Wen I needed a drive shaft built - they took care of it. The guys who are bitching about their service are probably competitors or crybabies who didnt get what they wanted for free. If anything ever comes up will be calling these guys first - top notch.

The guys here helped me out and got my truck back up and running to 100%. A lot better pricing than the stealerships, they are very knowledgeable, honest and up front with the pricing. Never got a bad vibe from any of their staff and you can see they are passionate about what they do.

Let me tell you. So my truck broke a universal joint. Which in turn damaged my driveline on a f350 heavy duty. I got it towed to Firestone. They worked on it and told me that it would cost me about 1700 to fix it. It would take a week to get the part. I needed to get home that weekend. A good 6 hour drive. I called phoenix rack and axle. They told me they could repair my driveline in one day and have it back to me the same day. Cost me 4 times less than what Firestone was trying to charge me. Needless to say they really came thru for me! In worksmanshop, honesty and price! I did the work myself but they rebuilt that busted up driveline for a decent price and in record time. I made it back to northern new Mexico, just in time for the fair

Had to replace U-joints on a steering shaft. They had the parts, and did it in about an hour. The shaft came off a 26 year old vehicle and when they returned it to me the think looked brand new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was a lot less then I was expecting. These guys helped me in a pinch.

They have earned MORE than a 5 star rating. If I could do more I would. On a TDY to Phoenix my driveshaft had a failed u joint. They went WELL above and beyond to help me, had an unbelievable turn around time and at an extremely fair price. You will not find a better experience than Phoenix Rack and Axle. Went to get an axle, they gave me the wrong part after waiting way too long.Returned it, finally found the right one after waiting even more.Installed it and it didnt stay locked in. Lost a bunch of transmission fluid. After 1 day it was removed and it literally came apart.Never ever again. Theres always AutoZone or RockAuto.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Phoenix Rack & Axle.Heres why. I took my vehicle to Phoenix Rack & Axle on March 13th to have both drive shafts rebuilt. My vehicle spent the day there and I picked it up before the close of business that same day. They charged me $490 to completely rebuild my front and rear drive shafts. I drove about 500 miles and I noticed a vibration. I took it back to Phoenix Rack & Axle to have it checked out and after having it another full business day they said the drive shafts were perfect. But there was still a vibration. So today I had my drive shafts checked at a reputable driveline place. What they discovered is Phoenix Rack & Axle probably replaced one u-joint of three on the front driveshaft but did not replace any of the u-joints on the rear driveshaft as the 5 u-joints were from the original manufacturer of the driveshaft, something ONLY that manufacturer uses. So if the driveshaft was fully rebuilt, how could there still be 5 original u-joints in place when I paid to have the driveshaft completely rebuilt and was told they were? If I had continued to drive my vehicle the way it was the front driveshaft would have blown apart within the next 50 miles. But Phoenix Rack & Axle told me it was perfect.So I went back to Phoenix Rack & Axle this afternoon and explained what had been discovered. The manager said I should have brought the vehicle back to them as I had a warranty. I said I did, in April, I brought it back and repeated what he had told me in April back to him, that they determined the drive shafts were perfect.So their definition of perfect seems to be replacing 1 u-joint out of 6 and a quick spray paint job.Based on my experience, I recommend you DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Phoenix Rack & Axle.

Seriously whoever gave them high ratings must work for them, im a mechanic and needed only use of there press 20 minutes of there time they tryed to charge me 340 $ for this 20 minutes ...if this isnt a joke i dont know what is total scam 20 minutes of use of one machine doesnt cost that much, only to those who basically bully you into having to pay such a high price...people need there vehicles and these people just scam you.

Just terrible… Absolutely zero communication. Once you drop off your vehicle there, you will not hear a word back from them. You have to call them to get updates and then find out your work never got done after weeks of being there. DO NOT bring anything here
