We had a great experience at this location. Most of all, the girl that checked us in and gave us the keys to the truck was a riot. She made my day and I wish that I would have taken her name down for the recognition. My only comment to others is that the location of the office is not very pronounced (unless i missed the sign) There were a few doors on Oregon that you would think would be an office but it is actually about a quarter of the way down the building on the parking lot side.

I had a great experience at that location and my rental was smooth. I needed a trailer for a day and the closest location was here. I got there, and was taking care by Regina. She made sure I got what I needed for my rental.The facility is very clean and well organized and they have everything you need for your move/rental: From trailer, truck, storage, countainer, boxes, etc... She also was able to setup my trailer properly and safely while going over the safety check with me. On the returning day she was still there helping other customers and checking me out.The pickup & Drop off was smooth & fast. I will definetly be back to that location

This is my 3rd visit to my second uhaul store in philly. There are always insanely long lines. Each transaction appears to take over 15 min. Clearly uhaul is the problem. One person on staff on a Sunday is ridiculous. The time of day or number of staff doesnt seem to make it better. Yesterday at 12th st I waited for 40 minutes. The time before that took 30 minutes of waiting to be told the system was down.

I rented a small truck with blankets and a small dolly. The representative was hard to understand and gave me bad information about the turnpike tolls. This was the Philadelphia waterfront place. When I dropped it off at the Moon township location they were really great and professional. Thats why I gave 3 stars, zero for Pilly, and 5 for Moon township!

The first employee I spoke with could not find my U-Box reservation. She contacted another employee, who might have been a manager, and that person was able to help me. She even went above and beyond to find a way to charge a credit card that I forgot to bring with me.The loading was easy once she located my reservation and assigned me a U-Box. I believe the U-Box left the Philadelphia location two days late. My U-Box arrived in Florida six days late and it took a lot of my time to get updates along the way.I received a credit of $50/day for each day the U-Box was delayed.

Alisha and her team is incredible. I witness alisha take care of each associate quickly during peak periods with out hesitation. She wasn’t judgmental and she even suggested items for rent like a dolly and even moving straps that really made my move easier. U-Haul should take care of alisha, she seems dedicated and motivated and I love how she incorporates her team into taking care the business. Great location to do business.

Alicia, the general manager at this location, is patient, understanding, helpful, and kind. the unexplained but predictable discrepancy between uhaul online booking versus the reality on the ground for workers at the uhaul facility meant that delivery of a storage box to my house would be days later than i had scheduled, after my move-out date for my current apartment, after my flight out-of-state. i booked a month and a half in advance online, never received a phone call or email noting this change to my reservation, and the change only showed up in my online reservation the night before scheduled delivery. alicia helped me for several hours that morning to get the box delivered to me one day late, instead.

It’s my first time using U-haul, and it’s pretty bad. Would never use their services again! The people working here are nice. The General manager Alicia answered my call on Sunday afternoon. I was going to access my storage but I can’t get in because of access denied! It says 24-hour access on the back of the card, but they never tell me this location is not the selected one. So I waste my time driving here and it ruined my plan.

A day prior to moving out of my storage unit, I spoke with the location’s UHAUL customer representative about an after-hours (post 10:00pm) move ahead of a trip across country. The UHAUL rep assured me that an after-hours move/check-out was possible and, as is standard operating procedure, that the only thing needed to access the facility is my storage keycard. Furthermore, the rep noted that in the event of any issues, UHAUL has a designated after-hours General Manager on duty to assist. Feeling good about the procedures in place, I proceeded with the move, starting the move-out process at 9:40pm. Well, about 1/4 of the way through, as we took the first load downstairs and exited the elevator, access was cut off promptly at 10:00pm - meaning, I could not come back up the elevator to grab the rest of my belongings or at the very least close the wide-open storage unit. To contextualize, I have PAID movers who are carrying my belongings from storage unit to truck outside before heading off for the night to a destination across country. But wait, this should not be problem because according to numerous signs inside the storage building and the customer representative whom I spoke with earlier, there’s an “after-hours” manager on call to resolve any issues! Unfortunately that was not the case. After about a dozen phone calls, several texts, and voicemails left to the said after-hours GM, Alicia Hicks, I and the movers had to give up and, quite literally, leave my storage unit open with personal belongings fully exposed. What’s worse is that I had to hire additional movers to come in the following day to pick up the rest of my belongings. Again, because this was a trip across country, this fiasco caused by AFTER-HOURS GM refusing to answer her phone cost me over $1000 in unforeseen expenses. Not only unprofessional but absolutely unacceptable. As a side note, when we initially entered the storage unit, alarms were blaring yet no security or UHAUL manager was on site. UHAUL is negligent and absolutely careless - needless to say, I will never rent trucks or storage units at UHAUL again.

A giant, multi-floor storage center. I think you could fit all of Philly here. The staff was friendly but it can get hectic sometimes with all the truck rentals and people coming and going. They have a lot of boxes and supplies to buy for moving short and long distances. They are located about a mile from Ikea. An enormous brick building, you can’t miss it.

Unhelpful and uninterested customer service team, and no sense of coordination. UBox experience was significantly more difficult than necessary and was not possible to ever schedule time more specific than a 7 hour window. Would steer away from them if at all possible

Surreal customer service experience today. I tried to purchase a few items from the retail store. The person working the cash register waited until I tried to check out to tell me that their system is down and that I would have to go to the uhaul.com website and scan the items myself. Okay. fair enough. I tried to do this 3 times and each time my cart was emptied when I tried to pay. I tried to explain this to the employee who told me he couldnt help me and he then WALKED OUT OF THE STORE leaving me inside, alone.

Just had an awesome experience at this U-Haul location today. I called to make a last minute reservation and Jordan got me all set over the phone. Jordan had my rental pulled right up next to the front door for me upon arrival. He was very thorough when explaining the policies and even offered me a month of free storage to accompany my rental. Jordans service at this location is the best service Ive ever had at U-Haul (and I deal with U-Haul a lot). Again, simply the best! Thank you Jordan!

Speaking on my own personal experience dealing with Jordan at this location. Jordan walked into a room where everyone was already being taken care of but still took the time to politely say hello to everyone. His professionalism showed.Come several hours later I received a call from Jordan again asking how everything went and how they could improve. Again. Above and beyond. Much nicer than the company with the same.name several blocks down near Depot.Go here save time and effort and ask for Jordan.

I rented a trailer from uhaul today, and realized on my drive home that the breaks were faulty. I drove to the nearest uhaul, within 30 minutes of picking up the trailer at another location, and was told that they can’t help me and that it’s lucky I bought the roadside assistance insurance. They made me report the problem to roadside assistance, and I am now sitting at a uhaul location, waiting for a service provider to come and fix the breaks with an ETA of 90 minutes (an estimate I was given 30 minutes after I reported the problem in the first place). When I asked whether we would be given a new trailer if this one can’t be fixed, I was told uhaul does not bring new trailers to customers through roadside assistance (remember, I am not on the road — I am at a uhaul location!!!). Customer service is so bad — what would have happened if I did not get the roadside assistance and insurance? It is their fault that they gave me a faulty trailer that is a safety hazard.

Currently been on hold and transferred through departments for 45 minutes without anyone being able to help me schedule the delivery of my Ubox. Initially called to schedule and had the girl angrily hang up on me after asking a question about having my card already on file. Called back and now enduring this mess of being asked for my name and phone number, just to be transferred again to somebody who claims they cant help me. I just need a simple delivery and Uhaul is supposedly supposed to make this process easier but I cant even access my belongings!

I had the worst encounter on different occasions....the first time the general manager Alicia H. overcharged me stating I brought the vehicle in late ..the second time she was obnoxiously ghetto with zero customer service...she even pulled her mask off to argue and refused to provide further service...Im still waiting to hear from her district manager

Zero stars should be an option.Ive never seen such a motley group of dont give a $#!+ People. They act like you are ruining their 8 hour break and can barely speak intelligibly, intelligently is outside of the realm of capability.They dont like you? They just keep asking for more and more phone numbers until you walk away.I will NEVER rent from Uhaul again.I rented from them on average 10-25 times a year either myself or through my wifes business.Tried calling the customer service number....on hold for 30 minute...sorry, I have better things to do.Screw this place. Screw the absolutely worthless employees. Screw the management for allowing it to happen, and screw corporate for having such a dont care attitude that you cant even leave a review anymore.Im done. I rented because it was easy...I just bought a trailer because it isnt any longer.

The staff are friendly and helpful. I dropped off a U-Haul trailer here, which was a pretty painless process. A few days later I wanted to rent a pickup truck but they didnt have any (not sure if they normally do). They had a ton of cargo vans though, so I rented that instead.Just a comment: The inside is a bit strange, with some supplies and a couple registers in a cluster in the middle of a big, concrete warehouse floor. That certainly wasnt a problem, though. Just unusual.

Would give zero stars if possible. Tried to rent U-Boxes for the cross country move. UHaul couldnt even return my call to schedule the drop off the box. It took 2 weeks of calling UHaul to get anyone to help me and even then they were so useless I ended up cancelling and using U-Pack. Have always had good experiences with UHaul until this move. Would not recommend, would never use.

I got ripped off!! Service is bad, if you can find someone to help you. This place is totally under staffed. They hit me with a $100 charge for damage to a vehicle that I didnt do. They are a bunch of crooks, stay away. This review is for this location only, I have used UHaul on many occasions at other locations, without a problem.

I rented an appliance hand truck from this location last weekend. I had trouble finding it at first because Google had the location in the wrong place. After finally finding it, the building this U-Haul is located in used to be something else (possibly a mill) and is largely empty. The staff member I spoke with picking up and dropping off the hand truck (same guy working both days) was friendly and helpful. Id go back

Today I went to U haul 8th and Oregon ave, Philadelphia to try to rent a cargo van. The lady who worked named Samira Solomon was being so discriminating toward us. She refused to rent the van to me and my brother because she said that “I don’t want to rent the van to you”. She looked at us and asked whether we can speak english or not. Oh wow! Someone in a headquarters needs to train this lady to respect or fire her!

I never write reviews and tried to solve this matter privately but am still on hold with Uhaul after 25 minutes. I tried to rent a 10 truck from the Washington Ave location. 30 minutes before my pick up time, I got a text saying it was moved to the Tioga location. I am moving to south Philly.... port Richmond was about a 25 dollar uber ride. Since we didnt have another option, we ubered out there. We got there, and finally got the truck. We let the front desk woman there know that we would be returning to a different location tomorrow since Port Richmond was so far from where I was moving. She assured me that was fine, never said there was a time I had to drop it off by, and they may charge me a small fee. Every part of that sentence was wrong. We get multiple calls the next morning asking where the Uhaul was and that we were supposed to have it back to that location by 8:30AM. We explained that the woman we had talked to said something different and we hadnt moved the stuff out of the truck yet. Finally, the man on the phone said that it was fine and we could return the truck to a different location as long as they would accept it. So, after moving all day we go to drop it off at the Washington location. They didnt have room, but told us to go to the Oregon location. So we did. We get there, let them know we got the truck from the Port Richmond location, and then told us we were good to go. So...we left.... and then get a phone call an hour later from the site we dropped it off at (Oregon) saying that we need to come get the truck and drive it to port Richmond or else they will charge us $500. They wouldnt budge and so they gave us the corporate phone number, which I am still on hold with. The customer service at all three locations and now from corporate is completely unacceptable and astounding. If they cannot be organized and have enough customer service to at least respond consistently and pick up the phone to deal with these kinds of matters, then they shouldnt be in this business. This entire experience has made me never rent a UHaul again and let everyone that I know, to do the same.
