I wanted to take the time to give a much deserving appreciation to Melissa H., the pharmacist manager who goes above and beyond caring for patients. I’ve been going to this location for years. When Melissa took over I went to pick up my prescription and the cashier (after scanning my prescriptions)told me to wait because the pharmacist wanted to talk to me. I was a little taken back since this never happened before so has I briefly waited, she came over to informed me that certain medications I was taking should not be taken closely to each other and other times she warned me of major side effects of some medication. Oh she even whispers certain medication to keep my privacy from ppl in line. I so love her. She definitely loves her job but more importantly she shows love to her patients/customers.Melissa- I just wanted to say thank you! You are one of a kind.
Architecturally, the location was great. The staff were really helpful, so that was nice. Felt like I was in a police state though. Aside from the cameras and the security guards, there were security tags on most things over $5. Security tags on laundry detergent? Baby formula in a locked cabinet? Please. Walgreens is a big enough corporation that y’all could suffer some incidences of theft without going bankrupt. Loosen up. Most people who come into your store are there to buy a few items and leave, not commit grand larceny.
11:30 PM, Friday night a long line and a single cashier….. I saw Rizz do the most wonderful act of kindness. A man, clearly down on his luck was searching for money to make a purchase. He had money hidden somewhere and it took him awhile. While he was searching Rizz pulled out his own money and paid for this mans two drinks. Thank you Rizz. You are a good man.
Clean bright and conveniently located store. Three floors of products ranging from quick bites and candy to hair and makeup care, otc medicine and vitamins, magazines and small gifts(dedicated philly section). Staff is adequate 😏
Worker hid inside for at least 30 minutes. Magicly appears when delivery driver shows up.
I witnessed a scam at Walgreens broad and Chestnut the cashier gave a guy change for a fake $100 . The guy showed him a real $100 bill and switched it out before check out. I felt sorry for the cashier because he tried to due his job but he was unaware of what the scam artist was doing. The con artist keep asking the cashier dumb questions to throw him off. When the manager came up the scam artist started panicking to get his change because he knew the manager would catch on quickly. The manager looked at the $100 bill night away and knew it was fake. The manager started screaming Oh No!!!! She knew what scam was pulled. Technically its really the Mangers fault because she did not warn the employees of this scam if she knew about it. Her response was I should of been there. Walgreens should stop taking large bills it because the scammers are coming back for sure
The pharmacy staff is excellent, they always go above and beyond with their customer service!!!!!!!
Very nice Walgreens right across the street from City Hall this building is very old you can see it they also have 3 levels the employees are friendly my only problem is the pharmacy is closed and that’s where the bathroom is
The medication came on time and in good condition. They offered a great price and fast shipping. I am very happy with my purchase. Thanks a lot! I will order again.
Took my father to got his Covid shot. The store was extremely clean, with alot of sanitizer stations. The Pharmacy staff was amazing and so friendly. Got him right in explaining everything, super friendly and caring. No backup of lines there doing an amazing job at booking appointments. Geart Job all around by Walgreens and there staff with the challenges of covid and vaccinations!!!!
It just seems like every single time that I walk into this location for the pharmacy I continue to feel like I am followed by several sales associates all the way through the store to the pharmacy
Have great sales kn the items you need.
Ghetto staff but what more do you expect really?
Had a nice shopping experience this place has 3 floors
Nice store and nice location and good customer service
Customer service was horrible! I was treated so poorly by one of their associates, Taylor, when trying to use one of the card services they offer. It was humiliating and unacceptable. I work in customer service and there is a way you should treat and speak to your customers that was DEFINITELY not displayed here. It was disappointing and hurtful.
Very good experience, good customer service at pharmacy and check out enjoy shopping here pleasant atmosphere, good deals
Went to buy headphones while I was waiting for the bus. No one came to service the customers in electronics for about 8-10mins. And I missed my bus. This Walgreens has definitely dropped in quality since I worked here last.
The pharmacists here are inconsiderate, judgmental, and stigmatize individuals in recovery. Customers should not be mistreated and judged on the sole basis of their prescriptions, especially during a national state of emergency. Current practices are negligent and harmful.
Nice clean place.. They have a huge veriaty of things. Food drinks as far as refreshment go..they have health and beauty. But do not get a script filled. You well die before you get the medication!!
This is the nicest Walgreens Ive ever been in, so clean, beautiful architecture, spacious, and it even represents for the city of phila. I seriously cant complain, if you have a neighborhood drug store this nice near you, you are a lucky person.
Pharmacy is horrible ... Pharmacist Amanda and the asian technician with the glasses specially ordered and filled A prescription and sent a text saying it was ready for pickup and then once she saw me in person (younger mixed race guy with no insurance ) accused me of falsely trying to obtain controlled medication from 2 seperate pharmacies because she read the script wrong. then called me back a few minutes later and apoigized and said she would fill it after verifying with my doctor... told her not to bother will never use any walgreens for prescriptions again
This store should be gone.A store that basically cant organize things on 8/18/21. Stores where the employees are lazy. I wont go any further. Staff who cant store things properly.Be carefulI went to the store in the morning on 3/9/19. I bought a milk. I paid it. But he did not prepare changes. When i buy a milk at $3.89 (price tag), at the check out, it was $3.99.I do not trust them.
Hours for the pharmacy are a little limited for a 24HR Walgreens considering non-24 hr Walgreens close by have longer pharmacy hours but overall theyre reliable & always nice. Good selection also, along with a little eatery on the second floor. If only the third floor elevator was working ;)
The fanciest Walgreens ever. Multiple floors take full advantage of this lofty and grand space. When you get to the top level take a moment to appreciate the impressive ceilings.
Order 40 of 5x7 photo printing and got 5x8. Had to cut all of the edges by myself. If you want to order a photo printing here, you need to double check it.
Great and convenient location right next to city hall. There are 3 stories but the 2nd floor is a Freshii and some snacks. I think its amazing that there is a Freshii here!!! This location is hardly short of what I need. I can always find what I am looking for, staff feels hard to come by but the people at checkout are usually helpful and friendly. I wish they offered paper bags. Especially since it is in downtown of a progressive city. I know Walgreens can distribute them because I have gotten paper bags with the Walgreens logo at other Walgreens. They dont even need to have the logo on it I dont care. I just wish they would move away from plastic and offer something else
A one-time Borders, this new Walgreens is totally decked out for the city dweller. They have a small grocery area on the first level, a cafeteria type space on the second, and traditional pharmacy on the third. I found everything I needed but gave up on one item because the pharmacist was nowhere to be found and s/he had to fetch it for me (Mucinex D). Otherwise, a nice add to the neighborhood because the CVS on Chestnut is the pits. #Philly #Pharmacy
Is a big Walgreens but the restrooms is always closed. I was there 3 times and the same.
Super nice greeter at the door! Kind and friendly.Nice white on black signage.
It is always a joy visiting this Walgreens. It is huge and bright inside. There are three floors! Friendly staff and greeter at the door.
Absolutely the WORST pharmacy experience I have ever had. They have messed up my prescription constantly, and I went to pick up what I thought was going to be a 28 day supply of my medication and it was a SINGLE DOSE. Why would I ever pick up a single dose??? And during my 10 minute conversation with the pharmacist she NEVER mentioned that I was picking up a SINGLE DOSE. They refused to give me an emergency dose of my medication even though it’s extremely important for my health and well being. Absolutely unreliable. They do not care about the actual well being of their customers at all whatsoever. I can not begin to explain how angry working with this pharmacy has made me. Would not wish upon my worst enemy. DO NOT GO HERE.
Absolutely the worst customer service ever. I cant even repeat what the employees said to me tonight. This store should be closed permanently.
Walgreens, obviously, is just another of those ubiquitous franchise drug stores. Still, because it is close to my work, I decided to fill my prescription there. I went to the third-floor pharmacy and there was no one present. I had to call out, loudly, twice in order for someone to appear. The person who did appear was pleasant enough. I asked her for the out-of-pocket price for a months supply of aripiprazole (generic form of Abilify) and she quoted me $960. That is not a typo. This morning I called the little local Germantown Pharmacy that I use and they quoted me an out-of-pocket (i.e. uninsured) price of $37. What does that tell you about Walgreens?PS I gave one star because the interior of the building is quite pretty. Previously I imagine it was occupied by a less-rapacious tenant.
I go somewhat out of my way to use this Walgreens. The pharmacist is professional and friendly (they actually remember you!), and its always a quick and easy visit to pick up my Rx.
I love this pharmacy. Fast, helpfull and reliable.
I have no idea why this is so elegant
The pharmacy is comically bad. At least 7 things went wrong trying to get a common prescription filled, including: being told 3 different prices, taking 3 days to fill a prescription that they had in stock in the first place, receiving several very annoying automated phone calls with incorrect information, and 2 snotty pharmacists. Im definitely going back to CVS.Update: 2 weeks later I can say, unequivocally, the absolute worst, most inconsiderate pharmacy in the city. Hoorrendous doesnt begin to cove it.
Called into see if they carried a prescription. they said that they cant answer that information over the phone that I would have to come into the pharmacy in order to find out. mind u it snowed like crazy the night b4 an that I am walking. the reason for me calling to begin with to c if they had it b4 I ventured out into the weather. poor customer service they said this is there policy. then had the nerve to say well I wish u well from ur walgreens pharmacy. how can I b well when u cant even answer a common question about a medication. smh!
Even though I moved further away from this store I still make the trip to have my prescription refilled at this pharmacy. The pharmacist knows me by name and has even made calls to my doctor on my behalf. I refuse to go anywhere else.
Waited 7+ mins just for a customer service employee to come and unlock a phone charger for me, and they never came. Pressing the press for assistance button didnt help no matter how many times you press it.Save yourself the stress, just go down to the Target 2 blocks down.
Occasionally Ill stop by this store in the mornings for a tea or water. Usually, I can shop without much attention from the store associates, but there are times where they are over vigilant, and see every black man that enters the store a villain or potential thief.
The worst experience I have ever had with a pharmacy. They put my information wrong and after 1 hours and half, they just put my name in the waiting list. They just tell you it will take only 10-15 minutes, but it actually takes more than an hour. This was a really frustrating experience.
