It has the most incredible selection of beer you will find in the city. Simply amazing! The entire staff is very well knowledgeable and extremely nice to deal with. They KNOW their stuff!

Best place to buy beer in the city, hands down. MASSIVE selection of any beer you could want. Rotating seasonal selections. Novelty beers when they become available. Cheaper than going to a bottle shop for sure. Go to for me is 2 local 16oz 4 packs, Vermont/Cali selection and a case of ice cold cerrs lattes with blue Rockies to boot. Wouldn’t start my weekend any other way.

It is a very upbeat environment with music and very well lighted and organized logically and very neatly. The store is very clean and the staff are very knowledgeable and pleasant and professional.

The selection is absolutely incredible, and the prices are usually on the lower end of the spectrum. Every now and then I find something a little cheaper elsewhere, but thats usually pretty unusual. Snacks, supplies, quick service & friendly employees. You cant go wrong! This became my go-to distributor after my first visit.

The beer supermarket youve wanted but didnt know existed in Philly. Unless Im looking for something specific that I know my neighborhood store has, Ill drive across the city to go to Bella Vista--it has the selection of a high-end bottle shop with prices that are closer to that of a typical distributor. For South Philly, parking is also surprisingly easy.

Best selection in town. If they dont have it, you probably wont find it anywhere else.

I wish I didnt have to hate this place, but they make it impossible not to. Problems started before I even got there to rent a keg, no information online on what they had, person on phone could not offer any insight into what they had unless specifically asked (do you have Yards IPA?)- was told yes. Once in the store, I was told they did not have currently, or ever, that keg of Yards IPA. Store does not have a list of available kegs, you are told to ask them what you want, and they will check if they have it. First three requests all nope. When I asked them what they DO have in similar style, the best they could do is say oh so many options I couldnt even begin to list them. How can you do business like this? Eventually guessed my way to making a selection. It was very expensive. They dont take returns on Sunday so took my lunch hour on Monday to return the keg. But only one person in the company can process refund (must have receipt by the way) so had to wait 35 minutes while that person was in a meeting. Horrible customer service, horrible prices, terrible overall experience. As I said this place is close and does have a good selection, at least of cases which you can look through, but everything else makes me loathe this place. Will avoid whenever possible, so frustrating.

Its a beer distributor on steroids. Theres a growler filling station that looks like itll also beam you up to the Enterprise. Theres a tasting room, a nice floor, tons of specialty beers that you can buy by the six pack as well as a wall of refrigerators for those hot summer days. It seems that you might be able to find cheaper but if youre in for the choice and atmosphere this is the place.

It gets 2 stars only because the selection is great and they have a few great workers. However, they also have a few horrible employees. Specifically the ones that close before 9pm or 10pm. If it was just once or twice Id be understanding but its often. If you want to close at 845 fine. POST 845 AS THE TIME YOU CLOSE!!! Next time I make a trip to this shop when it should be open and there is a person at the counter telling me its closed before its supposed to be closed, it will be my last time. Your prices are high to begin with even though Im willing to pay them. But to have people drive or walk to the shop and be on time and its closed is absolutely unacceptable. If you want to shut down 15 mins early at least have the courtesy to post it on the business page. Thanks for another wasted trip to your shop Bella Vista...

Space is always a bit grungy but they have a good selection. I will not be bringing my business here any more because this company does not respect the bike lane laws in the city of Philadelphia. Their vendors choose to block the bike lanes and ignore the proper loading zone that the business has designated. When contacted by members of the community via social media they choose to block this individual and others who spoke up. This is now how I expect a business in my neighborhood to act.

Rude company who doesnt support neighbors safety. The company routinely allows venders and customers to block the bike lane without issue. Putting neighbors like myself and my children in danger when we merge into car traffic across trolley tracks around them.When asking the staff/management team via twitter I was told to stay in my lane ! Yes would love to, but mostly they just yelled at me about bicyclists. I just want to feel safe in my neighborhood, I suggest supporting another company who wants residents to feel safe and ones who dont yell (and block) mothers on twitter.

What a selection. Friendly and knowledgeable staff too. Highly recommend if you are looking for specialty beers. If your favorite beer is hard to find, there is a great chance this place would have it.

Hadnt been by in a while. This place is amazing now and I will be going there all the time for my beer. Best selection I have ever seen in around Philly and very reasonable prices. Six packs, bombers, singles, growlers.

Fantastic selection in a beautiful, open setting. Well worth a visit if youre looking for some individual craft bottles/cans/six-packs. A bit pricey for a full case of something that might be readily available elsewhere. (E.G. $20 for a 12-pack of Victory Prima pils which I can usually get for $15 or less at some other beer stores.)

As stated in other reviews, I agree that prices are generally higher than any other beer distributor in the area. But not many others have the selection that Bella Vista has.As stated in other reviews, I agree that the staff is generally unfriendly and unhelpful. But maybe they were having a bad day on all of those 10 or so occasions that I stopped in.As not stated in other reviews (that Ive read,) they now have a bag-check policy. Maybe this is just when the stout bearded guy at the register sees you come in from the rain. The same stout bearded guy who generally causes me to reflect on the unfriendly staff.Now that Ive been made to feel like a criminal by how this guy demanded my bag, I can safely say that the other area distributors will be getting my business. Bottle shops are fine for specialty beers, anyways.

Why say you are open for business until 6pm when you lock the doors at 5:50pm?If youre not going to leave your doors open until the time you advertised, you need to update it on all web searches and google maps.We live in the neighborhood and we come here a lot. We get the same case of beer every time -- in and out in 5 minutes. Tonight we ran over, right before closing, and the doors were locked and the guy gave us a Sorry, were closed hand motion, with people still in the store. We will go to the distributor on Washington Ave. from now on.

If you like to overpay excessively expensive prices for beer that is 6 months past expiration, and takes 2-plus hours for delivery, this is your place. Disfravegul. I will NEVER BUY FROM HERE AGAIN. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
