A decent size showroom located next to a McDonald’s. Plenty of different mattresses to try out and the sales persons were helpful and knowledgeable.

Anna Maria was beyond helpful with the purchase of my new temperpedic mattress. I had gone in with a specific mattress and she made sure to have me try out other types and she was absolutely right! She was so knowledgeable about all the beds and bases. She was so patient, helpful and kind. Amazing customer service!! We purchased a mattress at Mattress Firm Whitman (2720 S Front St) in Philadelphia. When it arrived, it had a massive stain on it and (much more importantly) reeked of cigarette smoke. Our first priority was to remove the mattress from our premises, since it was clearly not properly cleaned and was spreading strong cigarette stench all over the second floor of our house. We were concerned it had bedbugs and posed other obvious health hazards for us and (most critically) our infant son.The movers who brought the mattress refused to remove it and told my wife to take up the issue with Mattress Firm. When we called the store about the situation, Kerry (the salesperson who sold us the mattress) blamed the situation on us, telling us that we should not have accepted the mattress from the movers. At the time, however, my wife who received the mattress (and who was simultaneously feeding and taking care of our infant son) really had no choice! Kerry told us to come back to the store to discuss a potential replacement, which we did right away, given that we were desperate to have the mattress removed from our house.Despite our pleading, and emphasizing the seriousness of the situation in person and over email, Kerry failed to show sympathy and was either unwilling or unable to arrange for the mattress to be removed the same day or even the next day. We selected another mattress and waited for it to get delivered to us, while wrapping up the original (it was still spreading cigarette smell all over our house despite being wrapped up).When the movers finally arrived, they told us that the replacement mattress also seemed defective and smelled of something, but (suspiciously) refused to unwrap it and bring it to our house, when I requested that they do so. My wife and I asked them to remove the original mattress and set up the replacement in our room so that we could have a chance to properly examine it. In the end, they simply refused to do so, while waiting outside our door. This was highly troublesome, since Kerry, the salesperson, stressed repeatedly that it was our right to do so over the phone. Instead, the movers wanted us to sign for the mattress without unwrapping it or setting it up for us to examine it. My wife and I felt pushed and, frankly, unsafe.Eventually, the movers left. When I called Mattress Firm to talk to Kerry, she was again unsympathetic and told us that the movers claimed that we did not provide them access to the second floor of our house, which was a blatant lie, since we would have liked nothing more than for them to come and take away the original mattress. To make things worse, the movers changed their story and claimed that they left because they felt unsafe, even though it was just me, my wife and my baby, feeling vulnerable and just wanting them to move our stuff.

I needed a twin box string and frame and I didn’t have a lot of money to spend. Danny worked some magic and took care of me. The service was honest and excellent. -Joel

I purchased my mattress here and Andrew was awesome. Working with Andrew is not your average Salesman. I went in the store with my defense up ready to be attacked by a pushy salesman instead I met Andrew who made me feel like we were related. He truly made me feel like he was trying to help me and not rob me which really put me at ease. I would definitely recommend this location.

I was trying to find a mattress for a house Im renting and checked all of the mattress firms in South Philly. Including the one near the Planet Fitness in Oregon and the one further west near columbus boulevard. The base prices were the same but none of the salespeople could compare to the manager of the Whitman store, Donovan Goode, in the discounts offered. Initially I was going to skip the location since I had been to the other two earlier in the day, but decided to drop in just to see if I could get a better deal compared to the other locations. I was initially going to get only a metal frame since I was on a tight budget, but thanks to Donovan I could buy a great quality mattress along with a spring box and metal frame. He even offered discounts on the bed protector and shipping. I highly recommend the store and suggest you ask for Donovan if you go there. Hes a great guy and I had a great experience buying a mattress there.
