This shop is by far the best shop I’ve been to in a very long time. The reviews were good but never thought my experience would match. These guys are absolutely amazing!! I came here for a second opinion and I’m glad I did. The issue the other shop told me I had was definitely not the issue and in the end KX auto saved me hundreds of dollars. Ming took the time out to show me the real issue my car had and explaining the repairs it actually needed. Right away I knew I was in good hands. Extremely honest and trustworthy guys at KX Auto that truly care and are really there for their customers. It was a lovely experience and for once I didn’t find myself worried about being ripped off or being taken advantage of because I’m a woman. I am truly grateful to have found these guys and wished I had found them sooner. I highly recommend KX Auto to all of my friends, family and to anyone that’s looking for a legit mechanic shop with honest and fair prices . They don’t make mechanics like this anymore.

My experience really was as good as most of the other reviews. I almost didnt believe how good their reviews were until I tried KX for myself. First, I had a flat tire and brought it in to be patched. Very quick and very reasonable price. While I was there, I made an appointment to have our AC looked at. Our AC hadnt worked in years and about a year ago I had another Philly mechanic look at it. He had simply tried to refill it and that only worked for a few days before the refrigerant leaked out again. KX actually fixed it. They drained the system, pressurized it with air, found the leak, replaced that part and refilled the system. After about a month, the AC is still working great. Couldnt be happier, and I wont consider going anywhere else. My only advice would be to be patient about an appointment. Theyre crazy busy because theyre crazy good, so plan to schedule an appointment ahead of time.

Wasn’t feeling the vibe the second I walked in there, dude turned away business. I understand if your busy, at least try not to make your customers feel like they are inconveniencing you. Wouldn’t recommend !

Made my day to have finally found my go to mechanic! In my experience living here 6 years, so many places do a half @$$ job. Specifically, my a/c hasn’t been cool making driving on hot days such a pain. The dealership and independent mechanics couldn’t figure out why or more likely it’s because they didn’t care to inspect closely. When I came here for an oil change and safety inspection, Ming alerted me the cabin filter was dirty and recommended changing - and at a really affordable price. Voila, my a/c has never been colder and right in time with this 100+ heat. This place is thorough, friendly/professional, and incredibly honest! Folks are awesome here and a special thanks to Ming!

Ming took the time to explain my car’s repairs and show me the parts that were replaced. He went out of his way to examine extra details of my car because he knew I was going on a long road trip. He provided a detailed, itemized pricing and documentation before and after the work. I feel confident that he was fair, went above and beyond in terms of finding low priced parts, labor, and care; and that my car was well taken care of and is safe for a long trip. My go-to mechanic in Philadelphia. After visiting several other auto shops in Philly, its clear that Ming and his team provide the most professional, honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable service. Their prices are incredibly fair, they do work quickly, and theyre very communicative.Its not always easy to walk into an auto shop and be treated fairly/neutrally as a 24 y/o woman, but these guys have been very respectful about my knowledge (or lack of) in the auto department, and take the time to answer my questions diplomatically. Ive been getting my oil changes done here for over a year and they also recently helped me do an out-of-state inspection. Im loathe to move away from Philly because Id like to stick with this auto shop forever!

I would recommend KX Auto to all my friends. These guys are great - honest, professional, done right the first time, and they never push anything that you dont need. If necessary, they also research your individual car down to the VIN number to make sure everything is done right and up to the manufacturers specs.

Im so happy to have discovered this place. I came in for inspection/emissions/oil change. There were a few issues that needed to be addressed but it all seemed reasonable. They do your auto maintenance by the book. If they tell you this and this is bad to fix your problem, its coming from the repair book. Common misconception from people who dont understand car maintenance. Theyre not going to cheat or overcharge you. Theyre here to make your car good and running efficiently.

I brought my car to Ming and his brother after my car failed the emissions test due to a faulty catalytic converter. The place where I originally got the test done wanted $1,675 to fix it, which was insane. Ming not only fixed the problem for far below that price, he also changed the oil and rotated my tires too. After the repairs, I received my emissions and safety stickers from him. These two brothers are phenomenal. Will be coming back here from now on for future tests and car maintenance!

Let me remind you I am a woman, in my 20s and I get treated like I am an idiot by mechanics a lot. What the mechanics dont know is that I am an engineer and I have a pretty good understanding of how cars work.I actually had my inspection done the first round at Mina Motors. I also mentioned to the mechanic that my AC wasnt working well. I was trying to tell the guy that I went to Pep Boys for the AC test and they told me I needed a new compressor ($1,000 +). The mechanic lit up a cigarette in the middle of me talking, looked absolutely uninterested and not attentive.When they finished the inspection, he told me two of my tires had worn treads and cannot pass inspection. I purchased the car a year prior with four brand new tires and drove maybe 200 miles total since then. So I definitely knew I didnt need new tires and he was trying to rip me off thinking I am an idiot who didnt know anything. So I just got the sticker for my emissions test and decided to look elsewhere. I saw the reviews on KX automotive on a similar case so I came to these guys.I walked into KX automotive, explained what happened, they called me when the inspection was done, and told me my tires were all new and fine, and I passed the inspection. For the AC, they told me I just needed two new rubber rings that are worn out and leaking coolant from the pipes, which were literally $2.50 each. I forget how much fixing my AC was but it was something stupid cheap cheap like $15-$25. They didnt charge me extra for AC evaluation for $60 like other places do.Since then Ive only had really good experiences with these guys. A woman hit my car and broke my taillight and I called them up, which they know immediately when I call now who I am and what kind of car I have, and they told me they are busy right now but will call back later. They called back in a couple hours, and have called all the junk yards and dealers around the area for a cheap taillight but had no luck. I was so appreciate they were trying to save me money (even though it was not coming out of my pocket). I bought the taillight off ebay and went to them and they replaced the taillight for $20. When I ask them questions, they are always super respectful and most importantly, very knowledgeable! I can definitely tell they know what they are doing and its not just a stab in the dark, like some other places.Like some bad reviews here, they might be too busy to take you, or open 30 minutes late then they advertise, but for me, reliability and honestly is the most important. Ill wait 30 minutes any day to save me thousands of dollars.

These guys rock. I’ve been taking my car for inspection and maintenance here for 3 years. When I was comparing them, their prices were consistently 30-40% lower than the other shops near center city. They also had great attitude, super honest, and timely. Even let me bring my own parts in and just charge me labor. Could not be more impressed. I hope they stick around here for a long time so I don’t have to find another garage. Keep it up team!!!

I came across these guys quite by accident. Its hard to find good, trustworthy mechanics who dont require a limb. Most have some kind of scam or angle. If these guys do, theyre good at hiding it. So far so good. Fair and competent. What more could you want?Oh, and these guys know their imports.

KX Auto was the 3rd place I had gotten an estimate from--not only did their pricing come in lower than the first two places, but they took the time to explain to me what the issues were, what the prices for parts and labor were and how/why they looked up the prices for the parts they used. They also responded to my initial email within hours--this is truly a lost art! Will definitely be making a full time switch to KX Auto from here on out.

I came here for my state and emissions inspection. I called and brought my car in the same day. No hassle. They were kind, professional and courteous. I highly recommend it.

I have now gone to them twice and LOVE them. The first was for a state inspection, which was prompt, significantly more affordable than the other competitors, and they explained everything. The second was for a hit and run on my sideview mirror. They helped me temporize the issue the same day, without charge, and they were prompt and clear about my options for repair.

My go to shop in Philadelphia. The staff are super honest and helpful. Wouldnt take my car anuwhere else. Ive had oil changes and new tires put on here. The oil change experience I had here versus at Pep Boys was night and day.

I searched from Google map because tire leaking issue. The KX auto has very nice and friendly staffs. They checked my tire very carefully and repair rapidly. I really recommend to come in and solve your vechile issues.

Came here for the first time for an inspection. Passed with no issues. But also, they noticed a leak that I should get checked out by my dealership. Instead of nagging me or saying get it fixed here, they were honest and straight-forward. That right there bought my loyalty to them. Great set of guys!

One star for wasting my time, not opening within a half hour of their posted hours of operation.Seemed straightforward. Told my wife to drop the car off before hours for inspection and leave the key in the mailbox.Modern keyless starters dont fit in their mailbox slot. Not necessarily their fault, thats fine. So I get there at 9am when they open to hand deliver the key. No one shows up for a half hour. I took it across town to Dons Auto repair and it was inspected within the hour.

Got an oil change & tire rotation here. Quick & friendly service. A week later one of my tires went completely flat, I guess I ran over a long screw. They let me borrow their air compressor so I could drive my car to the shop, fixed my tire in 15 mins, and did it all for free! Ming & Zao are awesome (sorry if I spelled your names incorrectly).

Not open during posted hours after checking and no signage explaining why they werent there or when they would be back. Was a waste of time driving out there for no one to be working. Very disappointed by the professionalism.

Best techs ive ever met especially their knowledge and experience with working on European cars like my 2006 Audi A3, had to get a clutch put in and price was awesome compared to stealerships. Would definitely recommend you guys to bring your cars here. Also they are usually pretty busy so just try to set up and appt if its a big job

These guys are the best! I highly recommend them. Super flexible with scheduling appointments. I called at 2PM, got set up for a 4PM appointment. I arrived 20 mins early. They finished my oil change by 4:10pm. It was insane! Not to mention, I had some bumper damage. I asked if they did body work and they said no. Fine. Thats cool. But he said hed still take a look at it. Turns out he was able to pop the dent out and line the bumper panel back up very nicely! Didnt even charge me! Thats what you call awesome service! The least I could do in return was to write this review and tell all my friends to go to them. So everyone! You should check out KX Auto. Awesome service! Super nice guys! Fair prices!
