I had a great experience at CHA recently. My tire pressure light was on, so I gave them a call in the AM on short notice and they told me to come on in. They checked all my tires including the spare in the trunk. They unloaded and reloaded my stroller and I stayed in my car all the while, as they filled my tires and adjusted things. It did the trick and I was good to go. When it came time to pay, they told me not to worry about it although I insisted. It was very kind and efficient and much appreciated. We have used them before to get our cars inspected and were very happy with that too. Can’t recommend them enough.

Its great to get your car serviced fairly priced and since my car is 15yrs+ it too pricey at other locations to even spend lots of money on it.

I had an excellent experience at this shop. In the current pandemic situation, most of shops would only accept early drop-off with no set pick-up time, which does not work for me. The owner of Chestnut Hill Automotive understood my need and was able to complete everything (oil change + inspections) within a very timely manner at a very reasonable price. There were no surprises and unlike most of other shops that would most definitely try to sell services such as tire rotation during maintenance, Mr. Cheung told me there was no need to do that right now. Id highly recommend this shop.

Came to chestnut hill auto last week for a concerning rattling noise- turned out to be just the heat shield. They provided an immediate fix free of charge because it was just drilling in one screw. I am extremely grateful - the dealership wanted me to wait a whole day so they could test drive to figure out the issue, and were estimating a good chunk of labour time. Chestnut Hill auto had me in and out in no time. This was a minor issue but i can tell they are good people, reliable, and know their stuff based off not only my small personal interaction but from all the reviews i see! Really good dudes! I called at the last minute for a simple issue, they had me come in and took care of it immediately. The garage is super clean and organized. Normally, I dont think Im in the right tax bracket to be doing business in chestnut hill but these guys were so down to earth and welcoming, I didnt feel out of place at all. Dave was great at helping me figure out why my brake light came on. He walked me through the problem and even put the car on the lift to explain what was going on before charging anything. They gave me a really good price and genuinely seemed to want the best for people. They treat people in a way that I thought was lost to the world. 5 out of 5, will go again.

Visited the garage following friends recommendations for my Lexus Es330 front wheel bearing replacement. The location is conveniently located in the heart of Chestnut Hill and the facility is clean and well organized. David and Johnny are courteous and very knowledgeable about cars, prompt services and very reasonable rates too! I surely will return for my future car repairs.

TL;DR: Honest mechanic, fair prices.When I got my first PA inspection at another mechanic (Incognito, who had a 5 star rating at the time), I was told that I needed $650 worth of work to pass inspection. I called around to check prices on the same work from different mechanics, and Chestnut Hill Automotive said they would do it for $450. I walked in there fully prepared to give them that $450 and would have been an easy mark, but instead Dave pointed out that the part the other mechanic wanted to replace actually did not meet the objective criteria for failing inspection and did not need to be replaced at all. I got out of there for $150 including the cost of the inspection, so getting a second inspection at this shop actually saved me $500.Since then I get all my inspections at this place and there have been no costly surprises. When I lost a headlight and a side mirror to street parking, they were also willing to install the cheap replacement parts I bought on Amazon for a very fair price. And as a bonus, if your car will be there awhile, its walkable to plenty of restaurants and coffee places on Germantown to pass the time.

Towed my car here Labor day, but 10AM Tuesday I had a call from the mechanic saying that the issue is part of an extended warranty offered by the car company - they could have just fixed it and charged me $1200 for the fix but instead they told me and now I dont have to pay 1 cent. This place is great!

I was about to head out on a road trip and noticed a nail in my tire. Dave took me in right away despite being super busy and had me on my way in 15 minutes. Will be using them again in the future. Thanks Dave!!

Couldnt get pass the phone call. The guy rambled on about the lights, the computer system, the dealership, and a host of things of which I had no clue. He kept asking me the same questions about the car; its a 1991 Volvo with electrical problems, thats all I can tell you! Im bringing it in so YOU, the professional, can tell ME, the customer, what the problem is. TOO MUCH!!

I only went here for gas, and the whole place is old, and beat up looking. Even the pumps are at least from the 90s. I was hoping to use my Shell Fuel Rewards, but no luck with old pumps.
