Just awful. Went and got the jasper L-Desk. Brought the desk back home and the glass was completely shattered. I called them and asked for a replacement and was happy to hear that they would. Come back the next day for them to give me the display piece with no wrap or protective coat, so hauling home was nerve-wracking. Not to mention that the display piece had nicks and cracks in it and was not in new condition. Overall highly disappointed and furious that I got a used replacement for a new desk I havent even been able to use yet. Never buying from here again
In the photo department I give high props to Steve for his attention to detail and his persistent attitude on getting the best results for customers! Great company to go to if you want/need a personal experience over an online order print.
Great store, Ive always had good service there. Recently went in for a computer for my older mother and they were very patient with her needs.
Awful experience.The website took my order and my money for items that were not actually available .Drove to store in an ice storm to pick up items only to find out the order was canceled and I’ll get my money back in a few days or maybe a week.Then tried to purchase some batteries on their100% promotion..... only a few of those available and they were wrong size.Definitely not my “go to “ store.
If youre in Peoria, IL and getting any kind of copies, print, or design services, ask for Steve Thornton. I met Steve when he worked at the East Peoria store. Very nice man, very efficient. When he moved to the Peoria store, I stopped going to Fed Ex for any copies, posters, lamination, and started to see Steve in Peoria. I have never had a bad experience with this staff member. He is very smart and knows everything about how Office Depot runs.On Friday, 9/4, I got my order ready for pick up from the print and copy services. I went into the Peoria store. The sales manager, Jake, helped me (after helping a lady who came in after me) and eventually told me that the order was lost and that Id have to resend it. I had ordered one laminated page at 8:30am and it was now nearly 6pm. There was no time for me to go to my 6:30pm meeting (which would end at 7:30pm), go home, resend the item, and return to the store before they closed for my materials. And, of course, the online ordering page says they need 1 hour to do the work. I needed this laminated sheet for a 9am training.You can see the spot I was in. After Jake checked many areas and again returned to tell me that the order was not in the queue and there was nothing that he could do, I decided to wait in line for Steve. He was helping 3 or 4 customers with complicated graphics orders. I needed to pick up one laminated page. After helping the customers with the business card designs, Steve pulled up my document, printed it out, laminated it and handed it to me. End of problem.I realized that Steve has a great deal of experience at Office Depot and hes the guy to ask about print and copy orders. I will never ask for help from anyone else in the store again.Steve is exactly the kind of person that Office Depot should be proud of; hes the reason I go there. And yes, I sometimes only order $5 or $6 worth of stuff at a time, but I have recommended Office Depot over Kwik Copy and Fed Ex to *every* person I meet at work. Ive also had larger orders done there for a non-profit where I volunteer. Having a smart, creative staff member like Steve to rely on has made my life much, much easier.Thank you, Steve!
I called needing a small file cabinet and Jacob the sales manager was extremely helpful. He walked me through sizes, colors, and prices. He helped me order online and it was delivered within 2 days.
We came for a new office chair. There were hardly any chairs in stock to look at and try out. Maybe 80% of the chairs had a space and tickets, but no chair. The other 20% were rediculously high prices. If I wanted a chair without trying it out first, if get it on Amazon... No sales people anywhere and 1 check out guy. Disappointing.
Visited the store on Saturday for some help with our computer. Great service by William Hammer a, quick, polite. knowledgeable consultant! Well certainly return to the store and of course, advise friends where to get honest, reliable serice at a reasonable price. Thanks for all you help William, keep up the Great work!

I had a very pleasant experience at this location. I had to use the self serve copy machine, which was super easy to use and did exactly what I needed it to. I then had a few things to grab, and am pretty familiar with the layout of the store, so didnt really need help, but was offered by an associate. At the register I had to wait just a minute because the only one behind the counter was busy doing something with the inventory behind the counter. But once he realized I was there he was very quick to help me out, even though it was apparently there was supposed to be somebody else at the register checking people out. He was extremely friendly and had no issue sparking a 10 minute conversation with me, that I didnt rush out of. Very nice guy. Turned out to be the store manager, Troy. Thanks Troy for making my day, in this world of dying customer service!
Many office supplies & office furniture. Really good prices on desk. Finally found the desk I needed here, after looking all over Peoria. And I paid way less than anywhere else. Really comfy desk chairs. Thank goodness I checked OfficeMax
Like all specialty stores, I personally found the prices quite high. Great selection of a large variety of office needs as youd expect by the name. Clean & help all nice. IF I need something & cant find it competitively priced or lower elsewhere, Ill get it here especially if priced comparably to on line.

If I could leave a lower rating, I would. Greg treated me horribly and I will never go back. I was an ink subscription member and made it difficult for me to buy ink and ultimately wouldnt give me a disocunt and accused me of lying about my subscription (as if I would for the $7 off??) Then I aske dhis name and he said Greg, 1 G in a snarky way. I will never go back to this store after being treated so awfully. The East Peoria store has always been so helpful and kind, in contrast. The Peoria store needs to seriously reconsider staffing and make customer service and treating customers respectfully a priority
It is a great store, but they need more people there helping customers. My family and I could not find a worker to help us find the chair we needed. In result, we did not buy a chair there because of that reason. Would have appreciated more customers service.
Had to do a return here, but the sales associate was very helpful and nice! The place is very nice on the inside. Ill be returning!
I work for a property management company and had sent in a flyer that I wanted a couple test prints of. I arrived and went immediately to the copy/print center. Nobody was in line. However, there were 2 (a 3rd came in later) associates standing there discussing something. I patiently waited for about 5 minutes with no greeting or acknowledgment at all. What I can assume was a manager came around to ask if I had been helped and I responded no. He then informed the girls that there was a customer waiting and that I needed assistance. They looked my way and then continued on their conversation. I waited another minute or two before one of them turned around and helped me. Once I actually got service, the lady was very nice and even gave me my test-prints for free. Which I greatly appreciate, but it was still upsetting how the two girls valued their conversation more than helping a paying customer, especially when we plan on placing quite a large order.
The facelift/remodel looks very nice. They did a good job. It also seems there are more choices in shopping.

Tristan was awesome. The store only had 2 display models of a chair we wanted but neither had a code or price. Tristan went through multiple screens to find the chair for us and found that the computer price was cheaper so we got the cheaper price plus the 20% off for the Grand opening sale. He also gave us 10% off since it was display model. He also then helped us with a WiFi USB drive for my sons new computer. I like the new layout even though I didnt get a chance to look through the whole store.
Helpful staff and decent prices. Disappointed it is now OfficeDepot instead of OfficeMax. The two companies merged, but I always preferred Max.

I looked and stood around for 30 mins for a free employee to help me. Once one did stumble upon me in need, he originally was going to find the right person to help me.... They never came so he helped. They do not have carts big enough to carry a desk and chair to the front of the store on my own...The re-design is nice... However the mail area and tach area look like cages to keep the employees from running away to freedom. The right guy did help carry the items to my car and even loaded the into my car which was nice... (Many places wont due to liability issues). The lines to check our can take forever....
Trouble with registers. If you have an issue and your cashier is Erica, after you leave shell announce to the whole store that you had a fit. A man tried to buy something with a credit card and apparently they couldnt do that so he left. After he did leave Erica decided to announce that the man had a fit and said he shouldnt come in here and throw a fit to her she just works there. Unbelievable terrible customer service.
The young lady, Kenzie, who waited on me was a bit curt and not particularly customer friendly. She did not even say thank you after I paid for the 40 copies I requested.
Store is totally redone. Well organized. Much less office furniture now.

Not certain how this place stays open as everything seems very expensive for not a whole lot in regards to quality. But, they will have anything you need for an office so I guess they have the quantity portion of it covered.

We bought a desk online to be picked up at this location. I picked up the desk, took it home to assemble it, and discovered that it was a box set of two and I only got one. I called the store and it took them hours to get back to me saying they found the other box. When I picked up the second box, the manager was rude, refused to talk to me directly, instead just told another employee that I forgot the box earlier. Will not shop there again.

Someone please put this poor store out of its misery. The place has a feel about it that it may at any moment let out a giant sigh and the ground will just open up and swallow it away. I only went in to drop off a FedEx package that was already labeled and ready to go- it took me over 10 minutes to get that done. After schlepping the box clear to the back of the store there was an awkward exchange about whether I needed a receipt or not. I did. Fumbling under the counter commenced giving me a moment to take in my surroundings. There was one other customer in the store, a middle aged woman who was all but yelling at the poor cashier about how she wanted to return a mangled box of printer toner and NO, SHE DOESNT HAVE A RECEIPT. Whoa. I got my receipt from the polite but obviously miserable kid working behind the printing desk and got out of there. There isnt a single item in that building that couldnt be bought online cheaper and while leaving your soul intact.
They have many items in stock, but I often have difficulty finding staff to assist me.
