Great service. Needed an entire PC changed over to a new case, and I was able to bring it in same day and have it worked on and done, same day. Matt especially was awesome as he let me chill out and learn from his work as PC building is something I want to know more on how to do. Love finding small businesses to try out and these guys definitely deserve some praises. If you need help whether its older tech or top of the line, theyll help you out.

So I purchased an asus laptop here about a month and a half ago. I’m not very knowledgeable about what prices should be, or even what’s the latest hardware/software. That being said, I thought, even if it’s somewhat overpriced these guys should stand behind their products. 90 day warranty. A few of my keys stopped working so I took it in for repair. Should be covered. The keys where NOT sticky, nothing was ever spilled on the laptop. After telling me it would take ONE day to see what was wrong, I called, after THREE DAYS and was told they hadn’t got to it yet. Dawson, was due in until Saturday. Jason initially said he would be in Thursday to get to it. I dropped it off Wednesday. Jason also stated the he could get a replacement if needed replaced from Massachusetts, not China. Today Jason calls me, telling me someone spilled sticky stuff and that’s why the keys where out. He says they can fix it for about 100-120 dollars. Or just give me a keyboard to use though usb. I told him I’d call him back. I called back and said I wanted to replace keys. Jason then started in about how it would take 6 weeks to get replacement from China. I asked about the one in Massachusetts, he tells me that keboerd was in Korean, and wouldn’t work. I said ok I’ll just have you do it any way. He then started in about how it would not be the same, ever. There are almost 100 parts to replace, clips that would break off and not fixable. I could replace the keyboard and the bezel, for a much better result, and much higher price. You get the picture! Not that it matters, but I will never purchase anything from here again. They are lazy, and don’t want to do anything more than necessary to assist me, a customer. Giving a lot of excuses on why they “can’t” or how inconvenient it will be to do what it takes to fix an issue. Very bad customer service. Did I mention somewhat condescending, and unwilling to be helpful. Jason needs to realize that as a business, you are suppose to help, the customer, treat them right. Not make false statements, then backtrack, and not want to provide the service. To bad.I just went to pick up my laptop, and Jason said he orderred the keyboard and would be here Monday?! I thought China was at least 6 weeks out. What the world?! I just talked to him and said I would just pick it up and not fix the sticky keys. Just use an external keyboard. Don’t you think the guy would have called me to tell me he found one for monday. Why would you not call the customer and let them know you found one sooner! He just said 6 weeks. Wow. Rude, condescending, Did I mention if you call any number for that shop, you get some old guy, that will literally tell you he doesn’t know anything, you will have to call back?

I purchased a computer last Black Friday from Emerald & have been very happy not only with it but with the technical support. For example, I just left Dawson who went way beyond the call of duty to help me with my printer & answered my numerous questions. Dawson is the guy to request who based on his knowledge is Head Tech there!

Reached out to the owner to inquire about stock. He let me know to come in when they opened. I came by the next day and he was not there. The store was open but the gentleman there could not tell me what they had in stock and let me know that the owner would be in later to help. Disappointed I could not get the items I needed nor a response.

Computers here are overpriced. They sell new items at an insane markup. For example, they sell a 16GB kit of DDr4 for $110 when one can easily purchase it from Amazon for $70 (and keep in mind, they also purchase stuff from Amazon aswell, so you get nothing extra for it, you are just being green). And to top it off, the store looks unorganized & very untidy with computers being stacked on top of each other and bugs everywhere. I never purchased anything here & I sure as well wont recommend anyone else either.

Overpriced systems. They buy used components from second hand sites like Craigslist and refurbish them into new computer builds. Similar to a car dealership their profit margins are very high, if you are looking for a good deal shop used yourself. Ebay offers great buyer protection service and the items sold there are used as well. There is no reason you should overpay.

Hey everyone, Thought I would share my experience because I was reading reviews and I think a lot of people misunderstand this place.I was building a computer for someones birthday and when I ordered some parts online from Amazon, I realized they were incompatible. I texted the store for some help because I was in a pinch and I really needed some parts to finish this build as a gift the next day. Jason (the store owner) texted me right back. He gave me many option for exchanging the parts I had, or just outright buying parts that were compatible and gave me options to save as much money as possible.Just to be clear, this man texted me back at 11pm right after I had texted him at 10:50. He offered to meet me at the store after hours and do all this exchanging for me.I arrived at the store at almost 12am and he was there just when he said he would be; he welcomed me into the store.I was able to get parts that I needed and he had so much on hand it was honestly superior to any other store that I could find around here.I think a lot of people misunderstand the store. If there is a part there that you can find cheaper on Amazon, understand that Amazon, or the dealer on Amazon is most likely doing a sale. The owner has parts on hand that you can take right home and offers cheap installation that is also a superior service in my opinion. Understand that there is sometimes a small upcharge because this is infact a family owned business and everyone needs to make money!!! Being able to take parts home the same day you buy them is a convenience and you should be willing to pay for this service.That being said, the price of everything was extremely reasonable. I actually got a Ryzen 3600 for almost 100 dollars cheaper than what I was able to find on Newegg and I was extremely satisfied.I also saw some reviews stating that the shop was cluttered and messy. While its true that the shop is messy, its truly organized chaos. He has so many parts on hand, and so many prebuilds available at good prices to take home the next day, it fills a lot of the shelves and gives you a lot of examples to look at when buying parts.Overall, a great experience that is most likely not matched by any other in the Peoria Arizona area. If you need advice, have questions, or anything else; Jason is happy to help. If you want retail prices, go to Best Buy. But if you want a selection that is yet again (matched by none) look no further than Emerald Computers.

I am a business owner and here is what I observed. This is one of the only independent Computer Shops in the NW valley. Elderly people frequent this location seeking a good deal outside of the major suppliers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Frys, etc. Thats where the scheme comes in. Hiding behind the mask of professionalism and great deals, Emerald computers is the master of the price gouge. As an experienced purveyor of computing devices I observed several, not some, of their computers were 10 years old and over $300. I know my makes/models and there is nothing, I repeat, nothing you can do to make a ten year old laptop worth anything near what they were charging. And this was across the board on items all throughout their store. If you ran any one of their computers through GadgetValue you will see for yourself. Just to humor myself, I asked if they had any 130 watt power supplies for dell laptops. The rep comes out with three and explains they are $60 each. I spend $60 on used laptops that are nearly 4-5 years old (which is fair market value for units of this age that need TLC) and this guy wants to sell me just a power supply for $60. Just an FYI, Dell laptops chargers run $18.99 on average on Ebay and a whopping $30 on Amazon, of all places. I carry about 10 of these and buy them for $5 each from a different supplier. So, justify why there would be a 3x markup during a crisis? Its called taking advantage of the consumer during a national crisis. And I can see that you are denying claims of other bad reviews from experienced reviewers based upon never serving clients with those names. Its easy to write off a mistake when youre not counting.

I attempted to purchase 22k worth of product and its been two years and nothing to show for it accept a ulcer and a major headache from dealing with business owner Jason Dragon. i was given a store credit when they could not fill my order after a year and a half! ...now Iam still waiting to even see if they have anything in inventory to fill my order and that has taken 3 month to even get a list of what useless product they have left ! i recommend going somewhere else cause they take your money and play games

As long as you dont mind not putting anything on your hard drive (as in pictures) and you dont mind not being able to change the name from Emerald for your main account for the computer, it works fine . If you find it out after the warranty you are out of luck.

Emerald Computers, and Jason Dragon have built my last two desktop computers, they also sold me a great used laptop. They have serviced my computers every time I downloaded a virus or did something to kill my computer. This is the place to go for high quality service at low prices. They really care about me and my problems. I will be getting my next computer here for sure.

Strip and stole my graphics card. Destroyed my mother board even though my graphics card was operational. Told me it never worked when it did. Only thing wrong with my PC was the hard drive, but killed my second, very expensive graphics card. They are scam artist. Caused multiple blue screen of death on my PC ( I was able to fix since Im a secret shopper). As far as I can tell, nothing but scam artists who rob the common man. Since I knew their was problems with just the hard drive I knew what I needed to do. They take and steal, do not trust. This place should be ashamed of their practice. They score a 10/10 for breaking stuff, and a -100/10 for fixing and a 10/10 for being terrible people. You guys won a lawsuit, and money owed.

I got a good deal on a computer there, but then after 3 months the computer crashed. The whole screen turned black out of nowhere and Ive barely used it. I tried contacting the store five times and three of the times Ive left a nice voicemail just asking when they will be available to fix it (I live an hour away) and never once did I get a call back!Its one thing to sell bad computers and quite another to not call customers back after multiple attempts.

I used this company for the first time in 2002 in an emergency situation. I had gone to 3 other places prior to going there and all of the other 3 gave me MUCH higher estimates and much longer turnaround time; 1 even said there was no fix. Not only did they get me back up and running immediately, but for half of the cost of competitors. Since then, I have moved and made the mistake of trying a couple of other places for purchases and repairs. I will never do that again. Even though I live 1400 miles away, I mail in my computers for repair, and purchase everything through Emerald either over the phone or online. I guess you can say that I am a customer for life no matter where I live!

One of the worse headache one can encounter during the day is to have your PC unable to boot, and suddenly you are faced with a threat of losing all your files....the worse case scenario is when you cant get good IT personals to help fix the PC up for you. Man!!! it is the worse feeling ever.Fortunately, ever since i was introduced to Emerald Computers such headaches are headaches of the past. Because i enter into their shop with damaged PC and come out with my PC fixed as new.See Emerald Computers today with PC problems and you will be glad you did :)

They have nothing but over priced junk

Showed up 2 hours before close and Adam helped me diagnose the random reboots. i7 3770k cpu, raid 0 ssds for boot, sli 680 cards, full liquid, 16g ram, everything overclocked around 40-60% so Id describe it as a decently high end gaming pc. Ended up being faulty power supply while under load (antec 650w platinum rated).

Awesome service saved me a ton of money on a fix for a laptop for my son and i even got a sweet deal on one for me
