I didnt have the best experience at Marvel. I was sent there by someone from Oldcastle APG as the retailer for Echelon Split Face CMU. When I walked in and asked about the product they looked at mine I had two heads. Theyd never heard of it, and after a lengthy discussion explaining what it is, they took my name and phone number and promised to call back with any information they could gather. That was 4 days ago and I havent heard anything. Very disappointing.

I went to the store with my mother who is an elderly woman, not really knowing what we wanted for her backyard. The staff was very friendly and took a lot of time (nearly an hour) to patiently go over the items we were looking at and talking through everything with us. Very caring people. I appreciate how they treated my mother and didnt rush us out even though we were clueless about what to get. We will always go there first.

Nothing says I dont want your business like a place that you walk into, ask a question about paver styles, and then get locked out 10 mins before their closing time when you go outside to look at the display they send you to see.Would be humorous if it wasnt true.Additionally, they have nothing in stock (8month wait) and they are happy to send you away so you are one less bother they have to deal with.Congratulations!, you just lost a $40,000 job. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!

Always always available for us when needed!!! The guys back in the yard move fast and handle everything in a timely manner. Been coming here for a while and this is by far the best place for our daily projects!

Check your receipt. They charged me more than the price they told me. When I called them and tell them about it and they told me you have a recorded with that price. Outright cheating.They might not give you a whole full yard of rocks or sand that you ordered.

We dont really like to use marvel for supplies but they carry some things that other vendors we do business with dont. Honestly the yard guys run around like crazy they are awesome. The sales guys on the other hand dont have much knowledge on product they carry. We recently drove to flagstaff to pick up materials from blocklite because I was told by a sales person that I could not order block how I needed it. I could only order wall kits of that material. When we got to flagstaff to pick up 3 pallets of block, we found out marvel actually had what we needed in the valley but the sales guys and or managers have no clue how much of their product they have or what yards it is at. Had to order some other pavers through them this week and as usual was not impressed with inside sales or management. We do everything possible to not have to use this vendor. Have had very few good experiences over the past 10 years. If you are looking for information on products they carry I wouldnt trust the sales guys, if you know exactly what you want and need then you could order your materials there. I would not recommend asking advice or switching to another product similar to what you are looking for.

Try calling this place while you are outside. You will walk in to see employees doing nothing but avoiding picking up the phone.

Massive selection of masonry, brick and pavers. Partial pallet purchasing is a nice option for when you just need a few more pavers or travertine pieces.

Terrible customer service. We were invisible. The 2 guys working there were rude, one of them never looked up from his cage. My husband couldnt finish a question without the guy cutting him off!! Just terrible!!!

Customer satisfaction is completely terrible.If you don’t know what your seeking for, you ask for help... in this case the workers there were as useless as anything, not complying with what you’re saying. Completely terrible experience. Passing you around everywhere and not directly assisting you, workers don’t even see to acknowledge customers. Almost like they don’t want to conduct business.Would not recommend, not buy here!

In my professional, opinion I would not purchase any product from this company. Marvel Building & Masonry Supply/ BorderOur one-and-only experience with them has been a complete nightmare in our eyes.We were contracted to install a finer cement panel on the exterior of a building.Nichia, who is the manufacturer directed us to contact it’s local distributor  Marvel Building & Masonry Supply/ Border to purchase the material through.We provided  Marvel/Border with an purchase order with the correct product, quantity, and color.We received a conformation back from Marvel/Border that matched our purchase order.We had requested that the material be delivered to our office.They delivered it to the job site instead. Mistake #1Once we got to the job site and installed the product all seemed well. This was until a few weeks later when the architect informed the general contractor and us that the material color of the Niche panel was incorrect.Upon investigation, we learned that Marvel/Border had provided the material in a different color to other similar buildings and so, without checking with us, unilaterally decided to change the color when it ordered from Niche even though Marvel/Border’s conformation to us had the correct color on it.Being that this was our first time working with this product we did not know the difference in hues in the color from what was order and what was shipped and ultimately installed.The owner, who was only a few weeks away from closing the building, had a major problem on his hands.Marvel/Border informed us that it would not replace the material even though they it made the decision to change the color without permission or noticeIn the end, the owner required us to write it a $30k deductive Change order to accept the incorrect color panel on the building.In our opinion, Marvel/Border made the mistake, but it won’t own up to it and pay for it.Based on our experience with Marvel/Border, buyer beware when you purchase any product from Marvel/Border if it makes a mistake, you may get the same treatment that we did?

I have been coming here for years for my landscaping business. They are always happy to help no matter how busy they are and the place is looking great. Ill never go anywhere else.

Super rude. Called them and asked them about some material and the guy seemed like didn’t even want to talk to me. High prices and bad customer service, seems like a recipe for disaster.

Stopped by yesterday 5 minutes before closing just to get a price on something. Security gate on the door was shut and the lights were off. Since they were supposed to still be open I pulled on the gate and it opened so I went in. Guy was standing in the dark behind the counter closing out I guess. I made a friendly offhand comment about them trying to close early and he just hemmed and hawed a bit. I told him I just needed a per unit price on 4x8x16 earthtone wall block (pretty simple stuff). The reply was just a brisk thats not in our system, its special order. No input or offer to help beyond that, keeping in mind that theyre still open for a few minutes even if this guy is pretending theyre not. Maybe Id have left with a different impression if hed at least offered to take my name and number and call me today, but he really seemed beyond disinterested. So Ill just find a different supplier that actually wants the business.

Tried calling six times, never got anybody. Just wanted a price estimate for some decorative rock. I guess this company doesnt really do pre-sale customer service.

It is a good place to fill your masonry needs. Some of their products can be pricey but they are usually pretty friendly and have popcorn 🙂
